Just read your hole thread. really impressive to soo how crazy much volume you put in the game. respect!!! in the past i also made these crazy day of atleast 12hours playing every day but after a while it didnt do good to my health and personal live.
im kinda on the same grind as you bur a bit lower level. 45s 180s turbo and the MTT some days.

such a crazy swings you make men. wouw. glad to see you grind it all up again. good to know im not the only one to take 100s of games till you go abut up again .

where so you find your videos? i only find pokerstrategy but then i need to pay and stuff...

ATM I'm subscribed to runitonce.com and really like it so far. Its a new site which means there isn't too much content yet but they are releasing a lot of material every day. Its pretty expensive (99$ a month, or 10$ month for less stuff) But as for now I'm really happy with the site.

guess I have to now when I have been asked to update this by several people, this is going to be a loooong post so prepare yourself.

I had the idea of posting that mandatory "2012 Review" kind of post when I was taking some time off the tables during holidays but didn't get around to it. Well better late than never right?

2012:

I started out the year by getting staked on early February to play 2$ 180mans. As I mentioned in the op I moved up through the stakes pretty quickly and was playing 2s, 8s and 3rs in July.

After playing somewhat over 18k 180s and binking 5th place on Bigger 8$ I wanted to try my luck in MTT's and started out slowly playing 180mans and MTT's mixed but changed exclusively to play MTT's in August/September.

Transition from 180s to MTT's was pretty rough but I think I got used to bigger swings and different games in few weeks. What was missing is the big score. I was grinding MTTs and making money but never had that big score happen which was long overdue at the end.

Looks pretty solid actually looking it now even if it didn't feel like that at the time. 6k tourneys, 12$ ABI, 35% ROI, biggest score of there was around 2k.
I'm quite happy with the volume since I didn't take too many days off. I managed to get that Grinder status on p5s which was cool (unless that little "****" took it from me, damn you!) Had pretty terrible december (around -3k). Was running pretty bad and my game was just terrible. Hated every second of grinding and that's the main reason I decided to take 12days off in the end of the year and just charge my batteries for the 2013.

So early 2012 I was playing 180s with 2$ ABI, now I'm playing MTT's up to 55$ FO, 11$ rebuy, 33$ FO turbo and satting to 109s. So there definitely has been some progress. I have learned a lot and still looking to move forward. One thing I'm proud of from 2012 is that I only had 3 losing months (December being the worst one by far) So even though my profits were not that great at least I was making pretty steady income.

I didn't really have any goals for 2012 because I wasn't really even planning poker to become such big part of my life at any point. Starting out this thread my plan was to get that Supernova for this year but obv with these stakes on MTT's it was not priority at the end of the year.

2013:

So as I mentioned earlier I took 12 days at the end of the year and just stayed out of poker completely (basicly was drunk for the whole time thou).
I started grinding again 4th of January. Unfortunately I had gotten myself pretty deep into MU playing just awfully on December but my motivation was back, I was ready to grind again.

Atm I'm playing same schedule every night on 3 sites: FTP, PS.EU, PS.FR. My ABI is close to 25$ and playing around 45 tourneys every night. Not going for volume as I am currently just trying to really focus on improving and moving up the stakes rather than cranking up the volume playing too many tables for me to focus on.

So as twatty mentioned my 2013 could not have started out better. On the first Sunday of the year I won my biggest score so far when I won 30e deepstack Triumph on ps.fr for about 7000€. After two losing days I was back on the track this Wednesday when I came 2nd in 8k gt on FTP for 1300$, 5th in Hot 25€ on ps.fr for 400€ and chopped Hot 11 on ps.eu for 5600$. Thursday my rungood continued when I chopped 22$ 12k GT on ps.eu for 3k.

I'm so far just stunned how good I have been running this year. Its obviously really great to finally "catch a break" since I didn't get any of these big scores on 2012. This year I have played 8 days total around 10h avg and not planning to days off anytime soon. Something I really want to try this year is getting some balance for my life. First just need to get a life to balance with poker. Work in progress!

Really looking forward for my first full year playing professionally. My main goals is just to improve as a player and human being. Kinda just striving to be happy and go forward in life. It's a grind but mby I survive it. Gla lets make this year count!

Kinda uneventful few days. Had a terrible sunday which is obv std. Have been just breaking even and getting deep runs, finished couple of times in 5-18th place but nothing too exciting.

Got today 10th place in p5s Finnish Rankings ( I actually think this was one of my goals at some point weeee!) Only thing to do now is to reach the top5, which is going to be really hard and not happening in a while. Hopefully I make it there some day.

As for the tourney series I'm not planning to play a lot in TCOOP since the buy-ins are bit out of my range. Have been playing some mFTOPS but not too many since I decided not to take part in any leaderboard bet so I wouldn't have to play those rush/mixed/plol games. No success in these tourneys yet.

Decided to cut even more tourneys from my regular grind schedule. Really want to focus on my game quality atm and I think after +15 tables my game goes to autopilot too often. Gotta try this for a while and see how it turns out. Gla!

Meeehh.... Haven't had any real grind this week yet. After last update I played normal sunday session. Finished 5th in 18k gt on ftp ( so close for that triplecrown! ) and ended up about +1k on that session. I swapped 5% of some tourneys with ChAAnt JC and found myself railing him bust FTOPS ME 11th at 9am. So that totally ****ed up my sleeping schedule for this following week. But it was a fun rail and made some money out of it so it was definitely worth it.

Took Monday off completely and played only few tourneys on Tuesday. Was planning on taking off Tuesday off as well but couldn't miss Microseries ME on ps.fr. Nothing interesting on that session thou.

Woke up around 8pm on Wednesday and decided to grind some. Dropped a ton. Not happy meeehhh.

So this week has been not that std as I would like it to be. I have been playing bad and its crazy how much changing sleeping schedule and daily routines affects that. I'm happy that at least now I'm able to see when I'm not playing my A-game and not force myself to play. But got everything fixed for today and rdy to start grinding again.

Shoutout to €urop€an for chopping TCOOP34 yday for 74k. SICKOOOO!!

As for the goals everything is moving on fine. Got 8th place on P5's Finland rankings and 7xx on overall. Making money and working on my game. Hope this keeps up.

Soooo since everyone else is doing these monthly summary posts guess I should do one too. For the start of the year I started to track my results very closely since I kinda wanted to find out how much money I'm really making. So the results are as such:

January 2013:

Profit: +34538
FPPs: 10512
VPPs: 5504

Also made Gold Star on ps.fr and getting some odd edge rewards on ftp but haven't counted those in.

So pretty much a dream month for me. I started grinding 4th of January and played 23 days around 10h sessions every time so was grinding decently. Cutted down tables and was mostly playing around 12-16 tables which worked out great. Was running absurdly hot and had good mindset for the month. More of these please :P

Before this year my largest cash was 3.6k from FTP 2010. This month I went over that 4 times and came close to that 3 more times. I definitely think that I was due to get bigger cash in some point but pretty absurd that all of these happened in a such short period of time.

Have been thinking about how to move forward from this month. As I'm still playing staked obv I'm not pocketing huge amounts of money (started year with almost 6k$ mu, ughhh) I think I would have enough br to go on my own but I would have to drop down stakes quite a bit and that is just not what I'm looking forward to. I just got on these levels (ABI 25$) and would happily stay grinding and learning and who knows mby even moving up in few months.

Actually what I have been thinking about is moving to Malta. That is a dream I have had for couple of years and now I would pretty much have the perfect chance to do it. I'm doing very well financially and have 0 obligations in Finland. Still thinking about the options for few days and checking how much money I really got before I decide. If the weather here gets any worse in next few days I think my choice is pretty easy thou :P

Grinded std Sunday session yday. Ended up top27 on Hotter 33, FT'ed 8k GT on ftp and busted 8th and got 14th in MultiFifty. Kinda meh day overall. Almost broke even so I guess it was decent Sunday. Watched superbowl at night and woke up 8pm today so pretty messed up sleeping schedules atm. Trying to fix em in next 2 days and grind what I can. Gla
