Re: Sacrificing it all for the love of the game

Sunday & Monday

Feelsgood to know that 3day Saturday-Monday grind is over and tomorrow I get to rest a little bit.
Sunday has been quite a disaster. Don't remember anything lol. Just remember folding 2nd best hands to river raises at least 10+ times, cashing some winamax 100's and making d2 in Party 500k. Overall felt good, just was not my day. Played solid B-game which is great because the session length is usually longer than on other days + avg amount of tables running at the same time is way higher.
Monday has been fine. Cashed some mtts, got some runs but nothing exceptional. Towards the end of the session I managed to make it to d2 in Winamax Main with healthy 50bb stack (in the last hand I managed to fade flush draw at 977cc w KK v KQcc and doubled up). Sooooo tmrw is going to be chill session starting around 8pm casually clicking buttons in hope to make it deep

I was thinking that I will get a chance to take a pedal from the floor and slow down my pace little bit but everyday I feel more willing to put myself out of comfort zone. I think I am hitting my productivity peaks atm. Tmrw I will have 1on1 with Tomi, group coaching, gym after a very long time and it will be topped with some day2's. If I manage to have a free 2-3 hrs pre session or after session I will go through a lot of marked hands + 3FTs so a lot of work in front of me that is not going anywhere

Why goes Zeltzn as hard as it gets?
'cause he want to stomp villains like harmless insects
Day in day out no pauses he gets
It feels like minute has one hundred secs^^

vamooo

Re: Sacrificing it all for the love of the game

Tuesday

Everything's good. Got coaching 1on1, later had group session with Graftekkel. Few moments later managed to get into gym after many many months. Came home, got some chicken with buckwheat and a shietload of ketchup to make that re-heated chicken taste at least 6/10 Managed to top it with cashing both day2's, Winamax ME ~ top 45 and Party Main 215 ~top 100. Could have gone both ways in many spots so I am just happy that I managed to get somewhat deep in both comps for a bunch of buy-ins. Can't really be mad on variance.
Towards the end of the day I was very tired so I did not analyse but I made sure to at least do something. So I have opened every high stakes mtt 215+ that was running and I have sharkscoped every player. Had to recreate my marking system but it is way better than it was in the past.

I am already really tired so I will go to bed very soon. I was postponing Primed Mind sleeping primer by many days but today is the day I will start using it. Can't afford to waste 60-90 minutes to fall asleep everyday And I also am making a new rule: "Prime yourself even if you don't think you need it. You always do."

Time to go to bed and get ready for tomorrow. Tomorrow is session time. Did not manage to go through any marked hands today which is not good but I will make sure to use them as a warmup before tmrw's session so it will be win win (inbefore 2hr warmup lol). I like this. Everyday I am trying to find a way to be more effective even in the smallest things. It's like a game

Re: Sacrificing it all for the love of the game

I woke up with a decent sore all over my body. Yday's workout has been great, though. Feels great to be in the gym game again. Workout has looked pretty easy and simple but it was everything but not easy lol. Tomorrow is going to be even more fun

This was the one yesterday

Decently wasted ~90 mins of the morning reading 2p2 and doing nothing productive.. time to start analysing and preparing for a session. LFG

Re: Sacrificing it all for the love of the game

Wednesday & Thursday

Wednesday was fun. I had so many runs, so many cashes but I did not manage to convert it into anything. It was crazy like I was 12 tabling and 8 of these tables have been ITM or something ridiculous. In the end managed to make FT of $11 5k Markovitsus on Stars just to bust flush over flush we both backdoored lol. Felt very good though.

Today I had a day off. I have done some studying:

- gone through 1 of 3 Final Tables (22$ contender) where I have recognised some mistakes that I have made and updated them into my ICM journal

- made 1/5 documents for Pads in regards to SB vs IP play that I have to work on (I had this homework before wcoop but was lazy, then did not want to change my game much befores series, then 2 week vacation after series did end..but I would feel bad if I would not do it. That's one of my bigger preflop leaks in regards to cEV)

- badger has given me hope in the idea that I have given up on (that has so much value for us) so tomorrow I am going to clean everything that I don't need on my non-work laptop. I will migrate my HM2 database there and create an alias of all players in hm2 database and run population tendencies on my customly created NC stats. If it won't work I will be able to at least run pio 24/7 or crEV

- somehow did not manage to go to gym today. I was so ready I have even planned my eating before working out so I will have higher energy levels towards the end of workout but I was analyzing this FT for like 3hrs and when I was done it was already too late lol

The plan for tomorrow is to make database migration happen, go through the 2 of 3 Final Tables left and pick a coaching topic for 1on1 with Bencb and work that ass off in the gym.

Next week I have 3 1on1 coachings planned (if everything goes well). Tuesday Bencb, Thursday Apotheosis and Friday €urop€an. If this does not motivate you I don't know what does. LET'S FUKCIN GO BOYS

Re: Sacrificing it all for the love of the game

Friday

Gone through the rest of FT's (€150 ME & 50€ Winamax). Not many interesting spots compared to $22 contender but still there were some interesting spots to find ICM patterns.

Made 2nd / 5 documents for Pads SB v IP play

Went to gym. Today was more painful than last one (in regards to anaerobic(?) part of workout) . For some reason going through higher amounts of pain and managing to perform under it better than last time has left me with smile that can't go away. Everytime there is row / ring row / trx row I usually have to dig deep in my mental strength to get through it. But somehow managed to make it before Time Cap (which happens rarely) and it really made me happy. Would love to workout 3days a week but unless I fix my sleep schedule it ain't gonna work. I remember times when I used to workout ~4times a week. It had such a positive impact on my mental state of mind it was actually ridiculous. When I came home behind online poker tables I thought I was invincible, that I could do everything I set my mind to.

Have not prepared laptop for database thingy. Will try to do as much as possible in the bed after I make this update

Tmrw starts classic 3-day Sat-Monday grind. Let's play well, make some runs and make less mistakes in FTs compared to $22 contender FT

In every post I would like to include a quote that has lately resonated with me lately. Today it is going to be "Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent

todays' workout

Re: Sacrificing it all for the love of the game

Saturday

First day of 3-day no sun challenge that happens every week has started. It has not gone well today. Was unable to make stacks in high stakes, but managed to stay calm play well throughout the session. Managed to late reg exactly 15 mtts in < 15 mins late reg left so that just shows how it has gone. Although I probably played a solid 40-50mtt session so one can't be unhappy with that and playing 0 turbos

Managed to Prime myself before session after long time. It felt great. I was ready to crush, unfortunately it was not our day. But it's fine. It's just a matter of time when coin will turn itself and I will be where I belong. On the top of a food chain. Now it's my duty to stay in the fog, whether the storm and make sure that I am ready when my time will come.

Have had a nameday today. Tmrw before sunday session we are going for a family lunch so I will have to watch out for what I will eat (I am still getting ribs ). Outside of that it will be just another day in the office. Let's keep the grind on and good things will happen eventually

Todays' quote of the day is "You can either try to be right or learn something new." --- it took me a long time before realising this^^

Re: Sacrificing it all for the love of the game

Sunday

Really tough day today. Cashed big44 in the start and $22 latereg towards the end of session and now I am 1-tabling $215 on ACR ITM with 1.5x avg in last 100 (which I have prolly busted by the time I write this post ). But that's not what today was about. At some point of session I just wanted to quit and I mentally did and could not recover from that point on. That means only one thing. Open book tomorrow morning that was recommended to me by my mental coach and try to understand what may be behind todays' mental fiasco. I think I already know but let's leave it for tomorrow

In regards to the day3 of weekly no sun challenge I will take a day off and prepare for 1on1's. In 4-day span I am going to have 3 1on1's and I don't have a set topic for any of them yet. So "day off" does not even sound right. 1on1's always boost my confidence and morale so I am looking forward to crushing on Wednesday and weekend

Tomorrow we will get feedback from our stat review which is basically quarterly feedback based on a lot of variables which may determine if a badger will move up / move down / stay in his tier.
It would feel great to move up a tier because I feel like I have gotten a lot better in last 3 months but there are not really any results to back it up outside of me being a witness of everything I do everyday. So either way it will either be a confirmation that I am on a right path OR I get to know how to get on a right path. That sounds like a win win

Just busted the $215 so it's time to end this post and get something to eat because I am hungry af. Will probably get some goulash and re-heat that one and a half of pork rib that I took out of todays' lunch

Quote of the day: "There is only two ways to do things; right and again."

Re: Sacrificing it all for the love of the game

Monday

Today has been what I call "a many small tasks but nothing significant" day. Managed to solve coaching topics with both Ben and Sam. Apo topic still not confirmed yet because guys are still working on the stat review but I believe in them that they will make it in timeframe that will be fitting for me and Apo to prepare for 1on1. We have had to postpone one 1on1 ( one one on one hahaha) already, it would make me sad if I had to postpone more than that

bought christmas gifts for whole family and they for me. I have made ~€500 order worth of Earthing accessories such as bracelets, pads and bedsheet so I can't wait to try them and improve my quality of life by a big margin. Also the good thing is that in our family we have a saying that "We have Christmas everyday" which means that we don't really buy each other gifts on Christmas. When it's necessary to buy stuff we do and we don' try to buy everybody some gifts just because it's Christmas
Nice example of this is that previous week or next week ago I just felt like inviting my parents to dinner. Can't imagine a better way of spending €60

Book for improving my mental game has not been downloaded yet. I don't know where to download things from and I am greedy bastard but we have paid account on some torrent site and there should be lower probability of getting some malware to my PC so the book will have to wait for a day or two

Database thingy is in the working. Already exported hand histories + note caddy stuff and now I am just importing it into laptop which is gonna take some time. Tomorrow I would like to try to do some white magic and create global alias in hm2 and workout any problems that may come up with it.

Outside of 1on1 with Bencb and me doing database work I am going to get a work-out in! finally I have been missing it big time. Can't wait what my personal trainer has for me this time. Hopefully less rowing and more barbell work and squats. I love squats

EDIT: almost forgot.
Quote of the day: "Want motivation? Think about what will happen if you DON'T take action"

I love this one. I have actually bought this CD Cats & Dogs. Sometimes I don't get a message on first hearing but I just can feel his emotions in his songs so much compared to any other artists. EV all day

Tuesday

Had a session with Bencb. I think I have never prepared so long for 1on1. Wanted to make the most of it and I think I can say that I did. We managed to cover a lot of topics and what I love about 1on1's is that if you ever feel comfortable enough that you know your shiet coach will prove you wrong (=he will let you know that there is still room to learn and maximise edges even more).
I was so proud of my preflop 10-20bb jamming charts because I have been working on them for like 2 weeks straight, adjusting frequencies of overcalls when I rejam and adjusting calling frequencies of openraisers and I was feeling like my 10-20bb reshove game is on point. Then in one example Ben shows me that I was wrong by not a small margin (but that's fine because at that time I was working with limited resources). I can't even express how beneficial that one session was for me as a mtt player and now it is upon me to make sure I make the most from it.

Database is loading into laptop. It is importing slower and slower every 12hrs. It will take a few more days to just import so now I will just have to forget about this and let laptop do his thing for a few more days

Still did not read a book.It seems like I will have to support the writer and get that book on Amazon (greedy bastard, I know)
Although I can't read it today because since I got back from gym I just dont have energy to do something really productive. Which is making me quite unhappy but that's what I have to plan for the next days so it does not happen ever again. It probably means I will have to get everything done before I go to the gym which is going to be a challenge on days that I don't play. Especially when we take into consideration a fact that frequently on my "off days" there are group coachings. Nobody said achieving greatness is gonna be easy, though

Confirmed topic with Apotheosis on 1on1. So we won't be missing more than one 1on1 FeelsGoodMan.

I have also managed to witness that this blog is really helping me to stay on track. It keeps me accountable. It makes me visualise my tasks for the next day which means I don't have that much time to procrastinate because I know I have to get shiet done. And whenever I do not or stay away from the path I put it into blog so everybody knows that I have slacked a bit.

Tomorrow I am going to play a session. Time to put things we learnt over the last few days into practise^^

Quote of the day: "When you feel entitled to everything, every little setback is a catastrophe. When you feel entitled to nothing, every little win is a miracle"

I think I was doing a good job of feeling entitled to nothing until Sunday session. Will have to do a better job next time and from tomorrow I will think of ways to improve in this regard.

Re: Sacrificing it all for the love of the game

Wednesday

Actually some nice guy has seeded ( not sure what is the right term for it ) the torrent and made it available for me to download the book ( few $ saved will make sure to spend it on some nice meal in near future). Managed to read 20/100 pages of the book. I am going through it quite fast and I think by tomorrow night I will have it read thoroughly. At the end I can't forget to go through online summaries and make sure I missed the least amount of "messages" of the author.

todays' session has been garbage. Made some stacks but lost a lot of all-ins in a row when it counted the most in certain runs but I managed to cope with it very well. I try to tell myself everytime when people do something stupid and get there with Elliot's voice in my head: "That's good for me." Also made a bunch of mistakes that I have already marked and will go through. Other than that I think I played well, there were some creative bet sizings that made me smile which I care a lot about, actually

Tomorrow I will not be playing. I am going to have a group session with James and then ~30 mins after 1on1 with Apo. I will have to be smart with time schedule of my eating because after 1on1 I will go to gym and I need the energy but I can't be full when I go there.

Usually I get 3 big meals in on days I grind (+/- protein/fat bar) and I have trouble fitting that third meal sooner than my session ends. It's not very good because what I end up with is I want to sleep but I just ate a lot of food because I was hungry and I just can't fall asleep. So until I solve this issue I will just run to kitchen after my sessions end so I can maximise the amount of time food will digest before I go to bed

I have also managed to "get rid of" a habit that when I got to bed before falling asleep I scrolled 9gag/memes for more than an hour. What I have done is I have unfollowed most of the people on Twitter and created an environment full of affirmations, positive role models and people who have their brands based on "how to get better at life" stuff. What happens is I just print screen for like 30 mins and when my fingers hurt I know it's time to sleep lol. That's where I get my inspiration from for quote of the day

Tomorrow I would like to get over bencb 1on1 and make notes. I have already gone through 1/3 of it but slacked today before session a little bit (which is fine but it is not fine acutally if you know what i mean). I have not gone through any marked hands as well. Will have to pick either one or another. Conditions are that it has to be poker and not YouTube channel of AdmirallBulldog OR Most Viewed Dota2 clips on Twitch of the last 24hours

Quote of the day: "If you're struggling it means you're progressing."

I have forgotten to post Tuesday workout that I have done so I will just put it here now.
In terms of rowing I can already feel that in next 1-2 weeks I could do standard 1k row for streching instead of 600m.
Upper body is struggling big time. I have a huge disproportion in strength between upper body and lower body so the next few weeks we are going to focus on that. I played a lot of football in the past so that's why my lower body is so superior which is understandable but it has to be fixed so I can progress faster and lower the probability of getting injured

Re: Sacrificing it all for the love of the game

Thursday

In ~30 mins group session with Apo is gonna start so I have some time to write update about yday. Wanted to write it before going to bed but I was going through first batch of database marked hands of potential leaks (172 of month november) and it was already 5:30AM+ so I just decided to do it today with fresh mind

Had 1on1 with Apo. Learnt how to use Pio and some basic functions of it to make sure I get to understand how preflop ranges, stacksizes and board textures affect broad postflop strategies. I wanted to create a pio group next week where we would educate ourselves with other guys but I will have to postpone it because the stat review was very bad. I think I have made some very good adjustments to certain players pools but it is dangerous because:

a) you have to be capable to switch your strategy mindsets per platform/stakes/opponents you play => if you adjust for $22 mtt that you are gonna do certain things and you have on the other side of monitor a bunch of $109+ mtts and you "unwillingly" change your strategies here too you suddenly are missing a lot of EV (which in certain player pools you can maybe sacrifice because of future game and what not but not in 109 or 55+ pool)

b) when you play a lot of tables (more than 8) your ability to switch effectively between those mindsets goes down significantly. Which means that since today I am giving up Markovitsus project

c) if you are not careful about what spots you are implementing those big strategy changes it can infect other parts of your gameplan that don't really need that "change"

So yeah. Since today I will make sure to work on these and just not really play. I don't need to play. These are things that need to be fixed and I think it won't be hard. I just need to lock myself for a week, dig through thousands of filtered hands, mark"possible mistakes" and go through them. Sounds like fun if you ask me

Postal Service has delivered our new Earthing equipment. It consists of Pad (under your feet/elbow; feet are more effective) and bracelet. It looks really funny right now in my room. Basically both of those accessories are connected to grounded socket and I let electrons flow from that socket to my body. There are 2 cables on the floor and it looks like I am some sort of hospital patient I will make notes of my sleep patterns but already on day 1 I have had one of the best sleep of the week. I did not wake up after 4hrs or multiple times through night. But we need bigger sample so let's make notes and see how my body is going to enjoy all of this. I wanted to show you pictures but it seems like I only made instastory of it

Got a workout in. Upper body is so weak

Spoiler:

Plan for today is simple
a) Group coaching with Apo
b) get a workout in
c) welness
d) prepare for tomorrows' trip
e) dig through at least 1k of database hands of situations where I have potentional leaks

Re: Sacrificing it all for the love of the game

Friday

Group session with Apo was great as always. Unfortunately my 1on1 has covered a big part of what today's session was about but you know, it is what it is Still learnt a bunch of things and actually my postflop approach based on what Apotheosis was saying was right. So it is just about getting to know textures better to make sure I am not going to do some silly mistakes.

I have gone through 716 marked hands today (if we count yesterdays' ~150) in regards to one of my stats that has not been looking the way it should lets say. So I just filtered all of these spots in last 3 months and gone through all of them. There has been a lot of "mistakes" based on focus (In spot X I bet sometimes and sometimes I checked even though it was basically a same spot and bet has higher EV it is just a fact that for some unknown reason I have decided not to bet. I think it may have been because of low focus and not my inability to play postflop). I said that I wanted to do 1k spots but 716 I think is enough inspiration. Ended up marking 74 of them which I will go through after Sunday and will do my best to fix it.

After I fix this one there are a few more stats that I have to fix but there is a certain array of them which is going to be pretty easy to fix. The next one's will include a lot of work with PioSolver and scripts but I want to focus on that after I fix previous ones because it is going to be quite time consuming

Did not read a book today. Yday read about 30 more pages but it seemed boring. But since it has been recommended to me I will read the last 50 pages in Monday-Tuesday so I don't have to think about it anymore

Today no welness. Friend has forgotten. At least I got a little more time for filtering spots and going through them

Gym session was great today. Really enjoying proccess so far. Today has been targetted towards upper body. The row was hurting towards the end but that's where I excel

Tomorrow we are going to enjoy some sauna and later there is going to be fight night and our friend is there (iirc he is even Main Event??) and other one also preliminary or sth. Really looking forward to meeting all the guys again. Always happy to spend time with some smart people that I can learn something from. It's going to be great to not play on Saturday and not think about poker/analysis for a few hours.

Re: Sacrificing it all for the love of the game

Saturday

Today has been the best day of this week by far (unless I win SM tomorrow lol). I think I have never learnt so much in a single day about life. Had a lot of deep conversations on our way to the event and on the way home too. It made me realise so many things that I was overseeing. We went to Spa with my friend (mentor/big brother) and then proceeded to go and cheer for our guys that were going to fight their hearths out in the ring. Unfortunately, both of them have lost and I am not sure if it was because of the fact we were not cheering loud enough or we somehow cursed them or sth else

Managed to lose my wallet with around €50 and credit card but I have learnt so much that this investment has been worth it. It's actually incredible how much you can learn from other people. The only thing you have to do is just ask.

Found a real life leak: I have certain leaks in human interactions. I know what things I have leaks in and will try to work on them a little bit. Can't wait to get into the next spot to see how I have improved or if I have improved at all

Lately I found that I seem to enjoy interactions with people after which both of them leave with getting some value. Emotional/Material/Educational, whatever. Everybody has something that they can offer. And by having good social skills a lot of times you can gain a lot of EV that you may not even thought of.

This is me with banners my friend made. It was a really good experience today and it has made me feel happy. Hopefully there will be more to come in near future

Spoiler:

Tomorrow is Sunday, I will play the whole day. I am going to make one rule before firing and it is no Markovitsus unless I have < 8 tables and the max amount of tables at one point will be 8. I will probably miss a lot of good comps, but that's life.

Re: Sacrificing it all for the love of the game

Sunday

Decided to slightly adjust my "rules" from max 8 tables to max 10. 8 was little too low, 10 was hitting the sweet spot pretty well. I was focused enough to take advantage of my NC stats and use them in conjuction with some understanding of postflop textures for xraises etc. Felt really comfortable. What sometimes used to happen was that I was missing some 3bet spots because I was playing too many tables but with 10 I had everything under control

Got some runs in. 109 ACR last 50 or w/e, semiFT of 109 100k and to topped it off with 4th place in bigger 55 for some change. Happy with today, I did not know what to expect because a lot of last sundays it was basically showers but I just tried to focus on delivering and it ended up fine. Could have done better at FT but shorthanded was just totally carddead but 4th place still not so bad afterall

Usually plan for tomorrow would be to grind but since I have so much work to do I will not play. I will go through marked hands from the filtered spots because I want to move onto another topics

will go through the rest of bencb 1on1 + created a new "duty" on the days i dont grind i have to watch 1 video from the library

probably will get in an hour of tennis tomorrow because I am starting to miss it

Re: Sacrificing it all for the love of the game

Monday

Did not go through Bencb's video + coaching video from library....slept only ~6 hours which made me not complete all the tasks but that's fine. It's time to relax / recharge now so I can continue putting all those high quality hours in. Gotta work smart.

Managed to go through all 74 filtered hands from 750 filtered spots where I got an opportunity to misplay. Made a word document of good/bad habits in conjuction with population tendencies for these spots so the fiasco from stat review should not happen again.

Did some real live stuff. Went to bank to apply for a new credit card that I lost few days ago. On top of that I also gone to my barber's to make an appointment. As I came here one of the guys has cancelled the date so I was ready to go lol. Had a good chat, dudes business is booming and he will expand in near future. The service he provides is top notch given our country where everything is shiet and people value that. In ~4 months he basically took over the whole barber market in our city. Wish him only the best of luck for the upcoming months/years

If I won't fall asleep soon I will (its only 10:30pm) watch Apotheosis on PAD crushing souls in real time. Sounds like a good plan for a night if you ask me. I hope somebody will tilt him and he will go on a rant that we all love

Tomorrow no playing. There will be no real life stuff, only working out. It should be easy for me to do a lot of work but at first I have to get a good sleep. Challenge accepted

As a warm-up for tomorrow I will go through the 1on1 video finally. Then look up what are the other things investors think I am fukcing up and repeat the same thing I did with leak num1. Filter all spots. Go through them. Sort out the spots where you can identify leaks/tendencies. Put it on paper. Onto the next one.

Re: Sacrificing it all for the love of the game

Tuesday

Gone through 1on1 w Ben, after I have reviewed it I have to say it was best 1on1 I have ever had since I started playing mtts. Ben is the shiet.

We had a late group coaching but I came little late and I have found out that everytime we have group coaching I just rewatch it anyways so I have decided to use my time wiser. Gone through reshoving stuff, the new results / way of playing seems so different to what I was playing up to this point and I really don't want to fukc up things so I have asked mngmnt if I can get another 1on1 with Ben to present him all of my sims/approaches when applying theory to practise

I have mentioned that I will watch 1 video per day I do not grind. Decided to watch two of them because why the fukc not Really wanted to do something productive but I could not move with certain topics so watching videos is going to be better than doing nothing

Did not finish the book. So far it looks like for tomorrow I don't have a lot of stuff scheduled so I will do my best to read it. It is like 2hrs of reading left, it should be pretty easy

also my phone has fallen into toilet because i am clumsy and it is already 48 hours in the rice without signs of life. if it dies i would love to at least save some files from it smh I have some life talks with people i care about recorded there that I would not like to lose.

Plan tomorrow is simple. Work on leaks. Study. Get better. Hopefully I will get a reply from Ben and I will be able to move a bit with the project because it will probably take at least 100 hours to work everything out and I am eager to start already, I just don't want to do any more mistakes in regards to certain topic

Lately I have had a lot of minor/small goals and my vision towards future was blurry because I was purposely trying to not think about it because just a simple thought of me not playing poker (the only thing i can do at high level which fulfills me and makes my everyday life happy) in the future I can't imagine. So it's time to announce my short-ish longterm goal which is being able to play high stakes online daily schedules on my own. It will require me to attain certain skills I currently don't have and also a lot of money. But I am here and I am ready to give it everything I can. I want to be able to tell myself that I did my best and not have even a smallest doubt that I did not do my best in every situation to attain everything my poker heart desires

Re: Sacrificing it all for the love of the game

Wednesday

Did not read a single page from that book. It is just not interesting to me so I am just going to give it up. Instead I am going to buy tomorrow pdf version of "Not Caring What Other People Think Is A Superpower" by Ed Latimore. I think I really don't care about what other people think (This blog basically represents it but why am I explaining it to you if I really don't care about your opinion? ) but I think I can master it even more + I follow this guy on Twitter and what he speaks about is really resonating with me. He deserves my few dollas for making my life better. The last book felt like duty, this is more like "Oh man, I really want to read this." Can't wait to dig into it tmrw morning.

Had a group session which was "re-run" from Marbella but I got to understand a few things about high stakes and why it is not the end of the world when low amount of runners high stakes mtts have if you are a monster. Other than that watched 2 coachings of Graftekkel from library (~5hrs of video time, with note making and constant pause-play with what I would do in spots you can add 2hrs?). It gave me a lot of confidence, because I was playing similar with very high % before he made his action. So just another confirmation, that it is really in me I just have to focus more, play 10 or less tables and winrates will be better and let other people take money from lr'ing small stakes when i have a lot of tables. 12 tabling is not for everybody

Tomorrow is going to be the same. Just dig in the library, make screenshots, take notes and send it to coaches if I don't understand something. Up to sunday/monday I will not be able to move with a "project" with Ben so until that I would like to check most of my things off the checklist. By that time I should be back in the playing schedule with at least 3 days of playing because studying for more than a week lets bad habits come back and we don't want that to happen

Re: Sacrificing it all for the love of the game

Thursday

Turned my PC off before making an update in blog. Could not sleep because of it so I just took my laptop and now I'm here. I had the whole blogpost ready and then my internet turned off 2p2 signed me off and I lost everything..f me

Teached mom how to sign .pdf files in Adobe. It was a pleasure to be helpful for somebody who has always put you before themselves in everything. I felt special, it made me happy. Although she did not learn it very well but I will teach her that as many times as she will need

Bought Ed Latimore's book and managed to read 30 pages before Romeo's group coaching.

Romeos coaching was nuts. I love that guy. Whenever I see somebody who loves poker or loves to talk about it as much as I do it just makes me so happy

Gone to gym, did my stuff. I feel very good lately. WoD's are less troublesome compared to past, I just stop less and fight pain more. It's fun

When I came from gym my friend who would like to take poker seriously in future had deep run in $1.10 mtt on Party. Ended before FT at 10th but it was a nice sweat. He was really sad when he reshoved KQs vs CL in COvBB and we ran into AQ Felt bad for him. Reminded me of times when I was playing NL2 and losing a few buyins felt like the end of the world

Did not get to watch a lot of content today only Pads stream but in first half (2hr40mins) I made < 5 notes which is meh but sometimes it is what it is.

Tomorrow I will make sure to read more from the Ed's book, finish Pads stream video and start working on the preflop ranges. It will not matter to me if they are the best constructed ranges ever. I have to make sure that my train of thought will not get disrupted by not knowing how my range looks like. When I know my range I usually don't fukc up. There is less room for error. I can tolerate mistakes, but errors based on not being prepared enough to play are intolerable imo

I will join 31day program #decemberofdiscipline of some Twitter guy that my guys follow and recommended to me. It's a big no fap challenge with whatever else life lessons packed in. I have no idea but I have just decided that I want to invest into myself. I want to learn from other people and if I have to pay $50 for 1 month why just not give it a shot. Realistically what amount of advice do I need to get to make sure my $50 was worthy spent? Not that much. I just read/listen from a lot of people "I wish there was somebody that would tell me to not do this / that in my 20's so I would not have to fix these mistakes in my 30's blablabla". I also think a lot of males are basically addicted to porn and it is not a very healthy addiction.

Quote of the day: " "Everything in moderation!" Sounds nice in theory, in practice, it's the formula for mediocrity in everything. Moderations inspires nothing"

Really good project, kinda old, though. Guy goes around cities, records sounds, makes beats from it and rappers do their thing. This is what music to me is about. Not some pre-written shiet for artist who is just a face of a team and can't even be himself or explain his ideas on certain topics because it may be controversial or lose him fans or some other bs. f that

Re: Sacrificing it all for the love of the game

Friday

Did not read a page from the book. Did not feel like it. I think it will make great post-breakfast habit, though. Will try it tomorrow and see how it fits my schedule

seen the rest of the stream (video). I did not really get a lot out of it. Patrick has just a different pov on the game that I can't handle but that's fine

Did my workout today. After long time (maybe more than a year) I did some Deadlifts. Casual 5x5 topped it with 100kg last set. That's not bad for not a year+ of not deadlifting Felt pretty good although without belt you have to breath really smart in your abs etc which I struggled with in the last set

After workout my productivity has dropped by 30-50% at least. I really have to prepare for these days in a way that I get all shiet done before workout otherwise I will spend 3hours doing work in Pio that could have been done in 90mins

Slowly getting ready to start playing again more since Sunday. Although if we manage to move with the project with Ben I will just give up most days as this week and just work on that. But I will leave it to how I feel. I miss playing

Plans for tomorrow:

post-breakfast reading; give it a shot and see how it feels
3bet ranges + SB vs IP strategy
enjoy a meal at Gourmet restaurant few blocks away
buy protein powder. lots of it

thanks man. Inspiring somebody to do better in their (poker) life is always nice to hear

Saturday

Oh man...I miss grinding so much. It's crazy. Tomorrow I am not gonna give a fukc and will probably start way sooner than usual and have a lot of fun. Can't wait already.

Today I have gone through first chapter of Ed's book. It was fun and it was a great fit for breakfast / post-breakfast in terms of creating a habit that will be beneficial for me in any way. I am probably going to read a few more pages after I end up with this post. Either that or listen to the last one hour of podcast with Nick Petrangelo. Not sure yet

I don't want to read multiple books at a time but I have to find a way to watch less porn luckily december is almost there so I got that going for me which is nice

Managed to do most of the BBvsIP stuff, there is still some 3bet and SB vs IP stuff to work on but with this tempo I will get this done in a week tops

Gone through another 2 of Graftekkel's videos. Created a bunch of notes and questions for him put together in a few documents, can't wait for his feedback.

Did not go to Gourmet restaurant today and ordered a pizza. I was railing my friend he was playing some $0.55 $50 gtd on Party and there was some FT action. I was really hungry but I also wanted to see him if he's gonna take it down so I just had to do it. I remembered that once I got a pizza little cold so I put it onto a pan and heated it up a little bit. The dough had a nice crunch to it and I wanted to refresh that memory Just like a crack fiend lol

Plans for tomorrow are simple. Play max 10 tables no matter what and enjoy it. Just pay attention, be focused because I know when I play focused I crush souls. And what is the better time to crush souls if not Sunday? LFG

Re: Sacrificing it all for the love of the game

Sunday

Sunday is unfortunately over. I think I played really well, for the most part focused and done a lot of good exploiting both pre and post. Unfortunately could not convert it into many runs. Cashed a lot of higher stake stuff, but after bubble burst that was it basically. Managed to make it deep in XTASE on Winamax but could not hold TTvAQ for chiplead on FT bubble vs maniac & ended up on semiFT in $109 100k on Party too. So in the end it was not as bad as it could have been but still we are waiting for some big FT

Ended up railing a bunch of our guys in some high stakes FTs. It felt great to see guys do well. Hopefully next time it is going to be me who is going to be on these

My back was really tight today so this week I will do the best I can to get Ikea Markus Gloss black home. Only Ikea is in capital (Bratislava) and they charge €70 to deliver it home to me which is like 2hrs by car. Ridiculous greedy bastards

------- Plan for tomorrow is simple:
Watch 2 coachings (it has to be either by Romeo or Graffy), take screenshots, make notes, put it into documents and upload it
Read another chapter from Ed's book
finish protein powder order
find somebody to get me my chair new chair asap
make some basic notes / outputs from BvB up to 40bb trees

The last badger has busted. It is time to go to bed

Re: Sacrificing it all for the love of the game

Monday

I have to start playing more ASAP. Since today I am going to have to start playing at least 3 days/week because I see that I am starting to develop some bad habits. I don't have that many hobbies outside of gym/poker/improving myself and on "day offs" it just creates a room for bad habits to come back and that's not what we want. Wednesday is going to be the next day I play.

Managed to do most of tasks for today. Seen 2 videos from library split between Graffy and Romeo. The new duty for day-offs will be "if you have marked spots on bubble go through at least 1 per day-off" to get a grip on counting bubbles and mostly get comfortable in my decisions on bubbles

Protein will be on the way tmrw latest. I have also found a person whom will deliver the Ikea Markus to me so I just have to call to Ikea tomorrow to make sure everything goes smoothly.

Did not go through BvB trees but that's fine I can do that tomorrow. We were celebrating birthday in our family. I had a great time and that's what matters. I got a chance to hold my little nephew after long time. Few weeks ago on my first try he started crying because he did not know who uncle Martin was and I did not hold him properly but this time it was cool. I held him high and he was crawling on me with his legs like Spiderman. Also I had a really emotional moment that I won't share with you but it reminded me of one of a few memories I have with my dad

Did not read a single page from Ed's book but I will try to read a few pages before calling it a day. It is pretty simple reading, raw, straight to a point "street knowledge". Nothing fancy

plans for tomorrow
1 video from library
BvB trees + if needed run crEV sims to make sure to know whatsup
3bet + SBvsIP work
gym
make sure ikea/protein things are done so I can take it off my mind
buy peanut butter
move with project with Ben
have fun

Quote of the day: "Once you get comfortable being disliked, you realize it's kinda fun being the bad guy."

if somebody would say this is the blackest white dude on planet i would probably have to agree with him. One of more positive role models in my life

Writing this blog did what had to be done. Now I will continue blogging into my own space privately. Thanks to everybody who have been reading this blog and if it was helpful to at least 1 person outside of me I think it has been worth it.
