San Juan. Ya its definitely a +ev decision. I am gonna go visit them this year and look at some houses and neighborhoods.

thanks. I'm not really upset, just frustrating to run that deep in my biggest buy in of the day just to get coolered in the first few hands of the FT. oh well, hit a little fire to end my cash session so I ended up only down $200 in cash on the day/900 hands. Played 33 Pstars tournaments, cashed 8 for a loss of $200. Almost final tabled a $60k but ran bad on the 2nd to last table. Played 9 ignition tournaments, cashed 2, +$700. ignition roi fell to 103%/285 tournaments

thanks man. I've had quite a few nice runs lately so I've honestly got nothing to complain about

just had the best quesadilla of my life. I asked for a carne asada quesadilla, corn tortilla, light onions and salsa/guac on the side. well, they forgot about the guac on the side, but that was fine by me because it was some dank guacamole, and I very rarely like guacamole. The quesadilla itself had a large soft corn tortilla on the bottom with a spread of guacamole, melted cheese, chopped and grilled onions, and an absolute mountain of steak. then on top was a hard shell corn tortilla with more guac spread, even more steak, and some more chopped onions. the hard shell on top gave it a really nice crunch, and both tortillas tasted like they were fresh made that day

Then, on the side they gave me a literal **** ton of fresh grilled onions and a couple of peppers, plus several small raw onions (guess they thought I wanted onions on the side?). The onions were sliced instead of chopped and were pretty damn good on their own, and I generally hate onions unless they're grilled a certain way. all in all probably the best $3 I've ever spent on a quesadilla. It was pretty damn big, definitely a meal on its own, but I still wish I bought two

haha, I'm actually a really picky eater which even annoys me when I go out to eat. but when I find something I like I definitely appreciate that ****

and the quesadilla helped me get over the 75k. who cares about 15k up top, that's only close to 50% of my net worth

seriously. there's spots you can get a good one for $6-8 in SD or LA, but any random place is gunna charge closer to $10-15. couple days ago I got a massive burger and fries at this expensive restaurant with the most amazing view of the ocean. Cost me $6

God damn I've never been so happy to be back on Mexican soil. Just had a kinda ridiculous night trying to go up to LA to play a long live session. I got flagged for secondary screening at the border, which was a little annoying but whatever. So I pull into the screening area and they tell me to step out of the car. Ok, seems standard so they can search. I get out and they say, hands behind your back. I'm like, what?

He says, "Hands behind your back, you're being detained."

"For what?"

"Hands behind your back now."

I put my hands behind my back and they cuff me. "Why am I being detained?"

"Because of your previous altercation at the border."

"What altercation, what are you talking about?" The officer just gives me this look like he knows I'm playing dumb, but I honestly have no ****ing idea what they're talking about. "This is my first time ever being put into secondary. I don't know about any altercation."

"Sure. So you've never crossed the border before?"

"No, that's not what I said. I've crossed here a handful of times, and I've never been pulled into secondary or had any kind of interaction with an agent that could be called an altercation."

"You'll find out soon enough why you're being detained."

So as we're talking I'm being walked into the detention/deportation room at the border crossing. Once inside they search me and chain me to a wall. The officer says someone will be back to ask some questions and get my fingerprints. I ask again what's going on, why am I being detained, is this just random (clearly not at this point, I'm the only one in this detention room even though several cars were flagged for secondary at the same time as me). They refuse to answer anything and just walk away. No one ever comes to question me and my fingerprints were never taken.

About 45 minutes later (I only know because I checked the time when I got out of the car and when I got back in) an officer approaches me and says ok, you're free to go. I said ok, but why was I detained in the first place? He said, oh we just do this because we don't want you to have to stand out there while your car is searched (as if it's snowing or some ****, this is southern california and it was nice out). I asked him what it was that got me sent to secondary in the first place. He said that's for them to know and me to find out. He gives me a football analogy; I'm the offense trying to score and they're on defense, so they can't tell me what play they're going to run before the ball is hiked. I'm like ok, I just don't wanna deal with this every time I cross. He just shrugs and walks away.

So I get unchained and I get my **** back from them, then another agent leads me out to my car. I ask her, is everyone who goes to secondary cuffed and sent to that room? She says no, only some people. I said, well why me? She says, because of your history with our agents. I'm like, what ****ing history? She just gives me the same look, the one that says, "Don't play dumb *******" Alright, whatever, apparently I have some history with the California Border Patrol that I'm unaware of. So I get back in my car, and the thing is a ****ing mess. It wasn't clean before, but now my box of books is overturned with books scattered across the car. My air mattress is out of the box and laid flat in the back seat when it used to be in the trunk, and they tore the box to shreds as if they were trying to find something inside of the cardboard. Though at least they were nice enough to return the shreds when they finished

anyway, took about 2 hours but I got through the border. First stop, ATM for some cash. Now, I already called my bank today to raise my debit card limit and let them know I'll be making a large withdrawal later tonight, because I know how my bank loves to cancel my debit card any time I try to use it. So I get to the ATM, make my withdrawal, processing, processing, processing, "Your transaction has been declined and your card has been deactivated. Please call customer service: XXX XXX XXXX"

fuuuuuuuuuuu

well ok, tonight's not my night but whatever, I just gotta make a quick call and get my card re activated, usually takes me 10 minutes (I have to make this call at least once every 1-2 weeks so I'm used to it). I call, wait a few minutes on hold, get through to the security department, and they tell me that my card can't be re activated until I speak with a senior security consultant. I said ok, connect me. Oh sorry sir, they don't come into work until 7am. I said put me through to the most senior supervisor you have. So she does, and he tells me the same ****: we can't unblock your card until you speak with a senior security consultant.

So I try to explain my situation, that I already called earlier to authorize this transaction, that I need this money for work and I can't sit around waiting until 7 am, etc. Doesn't make any difference, he can't unblock the card. I said take a look at when I opened my bank account; it was less than a month ago. I changed banks for this exact reason. And now, my new bank has lost me as a customer. Next time I'm in the states I'm closing my account with them. Wish I could tell the banks to **** off and just keep everything in cash but it isn't really feasible.

so yeah, I drove 2 hours there and got felt up by the border patrol just to turn around and head back home without playing a hand. fun night. stopped and got $200 worth of weed on the way home, cuz **** it, I was planning on being up all night so I guess I'm getting super lit. also bought 5k of eth/etc earlier tonight (@$107/$4.51) and I'm up 2% already. gotta enjoy the little things

tl;dr: the border patrol and my bank decided to tag team me on the same night

i got 2 double doubles from in and out with fries and a coke. then I smoked a 2 gram backwood and a 2 gram joint. might smoke another joint before I go to bed. **** the police

but seriously I have no idea wtf they were talking about, I've always sailed right through the border. I asked the 2 agents who walked me into the detention area, I asked the 2 agents who were writing down all my info and telling me where to place my hands while I got searched, and then where to place them after, and then where to place while I walk like a bunch of ****ing nazis, then I asked the agent who uncuffed me from the wall, and finally I asked another different agent who walked me out. none of them would answer me why I was detained unlike the other ~10 drivers in secondary who all stood outside their cars while they were searched.

I racked my brain on the long drive back, and I came up with two theories. one is that they mistook me for someone who had tried to use a fake passport or smuggle something etc. two is a bit more complex.

the first time I crossed the border back into the US I could've swore the agent who took my passport and questioned me was the brother of or somehow related to a guy who I had just ****ed who was from the san diego border area. when I first pulled up I was like, holy **** this guy is a border patrol agent? but then I got a better look and he was taller and slightly older, but god damn the resemblance was ridiculous. there's very little chance they actually are related, and basically 0 chance he would know who I am anyway, but that's the only thing I could come up with that I did that might've pissed off a border agent

I would assume that it has something to do with the first thing you mentioned or along those lines. You could appear to look like somebody who has been involved in some sh*t or have a similar name but either way I would be incredibly cautious moving forward. I have had far to many interactions with police to the point where I had a undercover following me & pulling me over almost twice a week back when I was younger ( Granted I was doing stupid things at the time however they had no actual proof of this ) The undercover was actually in a gas station at night where a friend of mine worked the nightshift. I went to go visit him on new years eve and had been doing bunch of oxy, I totally forgot I had a tiny straw on top my ear and when I walked in he just stood there in the middle of the store with a blank stare until I walked out. I thought it was super odd he did that, so than when I was going to leave I caught myself in the rear view mirror and realized how ******ed I was for the straw, I dipped out of there super quick but he must of had my licence plate or something and than after that I was basically harassed for nearly a year.

Sorry to go off on a personal rant but ya, I would just be double cautious now and make sure you are squeaky clean before crossing any boarder let alone the US/Mexican one, those guys do not play games and truthfully scare the sh*t out of me. I feel like they are the type who would make up a reason to get you arrested if they really wanted to. Be careful man and good luck in the future with dealing with that bs.

yeah this is exactly how I feel. I was pretty nervous because I smoke a good amount of weed in my car and I don't do a good job of cleaning roaches out. There's a dozen or so sitting in a makeshift ashtray in the cupholder, so I half expected them to come back with a little baggie of roaches and charge me with trafficking lmao. also can never be too sure if a little nug or even a joint slipped down between the seats, and all it takes is that to get sent to prison for at least the night. so yeah I wasn't having a good time waiting and honestly wouldn't have taken 1:1 on walking out last night, but I made it somehow

the 3rd possibility I was thinking about is that in my trunk the back carpet/mat is pulled up and disheveled because when I got to the airport parking lot last week some guy's car died and I helped him jump it. my battery is in the trunk so I had to pull up the mat and I didn't bother putting it back down and making it look nice, so maybe they thought I had tried to hide something under the spare tire or some ****? I actually ran that theory by one of the guy who let me go and he just said he couldn't tell me anything

Ya could be literally anything, and its for sure nerve wrecking not to be clued into wtf is going on. I over stress situations personally and try to picture every single scenario in my head to find out wtf I could of possibly done to have them all up in arms. Also another quick story is one of the officers who was buddies with the guy from the story above was he one who finally arrested me for possession with intent, had wrote down in the police report that they spotted a dutch wrapper on the floor of my passenger seat, now I know this is 100% not possible because back then I would never let anyone smoke in my car because it was a nice car & because I was overly cautious and wouldn't want any single reason to have them search my car.

Also they may have seen the roaches and what not but might not of been a big enough reason for them to actually arrest you but I am sure it will just add on to the reasons of them giving you issues every time you cross the border now. I hope for your sake they just had misidentified you and realize it however that almost seems to not be case cause if even they did mess up they would never admit it and would still probably continue to mess with you. I don't know much about the US/Mex. border but is there another crossing point near by that you could use instead of that one? I remember I got taken aside going into Canada for the first time and searched & questioned so on the way back I went to different border crossing and it went super smoothly, which I figured it would be much more difficult to get back into the US from CAN. then going in considering at the time a ton of trafficking & smuggling of weed & pharm. was coming into the US from CAN.

seriously. last night I was honestly more pissed at my bank than at CBP, but today I'm more pissed about the border encounter. my dad is a lawyer (lol I feel like such an entitled prick just typing that) and he said he will call me later to discuss our legal options lol. not going to actually pursue anything as it would only make things worse in the future, but feels good to know he cares and that I've at least got a good attorney one phone call away.

I do this too. Honestly couldn't stop thinking they were gunna plant something and how it easy it would be for them to send me to prison for a looooong time just by putting one baggie in there. The fact that I wasn't able to watch while they searched, and I was the only person who was detained and not allowed to watch the search only made me more nervous that they were up to something (also being pretty high didn't help). But luckily my general anxiety levels have been really low lately, like the lowest they've been since anxiety started ****ing with my life years ago, and I wasn't actually freaked out or all that nervous. I've had days where standing in line at the grocery store gave me more anxiety than last night. anxiety is a ****

I doubt they could see the roaches at the primary checkpoint because they were covered, but it's possible my car has a lingering smell (though the other times I crossed it was likely stronger). but yeah in secondary they would've seen the roaches, as well as all kinds of empty weed containers (mostly just joint containers and some empty weed sodas, not big jars or anything like that)

There is another crossing 15 min away, but I crossed there once and it's a *****. took way longer because it's tiny, but I guess it was still shorter than being arrested. I'll probably take that route at least next time

If they ever could have smelled weed when you crossed or you had bloodshot stoned eyes that could be reason to put you on some list Mr Narco Trafficker.

I don't get bloodshot eyes unless I smoke a crazy amount of weed. But sure, the smell could be enough to warrant a search. I don't really care if they search me. What I had a problem with was them arresting me and not giving me any explanation. None of the other drivers pulled into secondary were arrested, even the officer who walked me back to my car admitted that. But none of them would tell me why I was put in cuffs and everyone else got to stand around on their phone while their car got searched.

Also I highly dout they would even be to concerned with the smell of burning/smoked weed as much as the raw smell of weed, which as pretty much anyone knows are 2 completely different smells.

Also on the anxiety front I have dealt with it from the time I was about 14 and it has been a crazy battle every since then. I can relate though like you said, the time I did finally get in trouble though my anxiety was actually completely gone for whatever reason, almost like I knew what was going to happen in a way lol. I had also been pulled over so many times before with nothing in my car and nearly had panic attacks but the time I end up having a QP in the trunk and a gun I was just like chill and accepted my fate in away. I would assume coming into the US though is significantly harder then going into Mexico but I guess you never know what motivates a border patrol officer has or what "intel" they think they have received supposedly. All I know is that I am happy I didn't have to be in that situation cause I would still be wracking my brain to figure out wtf happened & why.
