How'd it get down to 15k, seemed like you had been winning and were well over 20k before I thought? That's danger zone imo, should just sell some of yourself to the bigger stuff to keep avg buyin more reasonable. Def wouldn't plan on anything based on a 500 tourney sample, even with the smaller avg field size on ignition. One of your biggest leaks seems to still be basing too much of your plans and decisions based on smallish samples of data. That being said I wouldn't be that surprised if you did have somewhere in the neighborhood of that ROI in a decent chunk of those mtt.

It's def super unlikely to have a losing year over 2000 hours if you aren't playing a wide spread of stakes. But it def is super easy to have a disappointing year where you barely make any money and maybe even take a small step backwards after expenses.

38 hours of live poker, -$6900 at 2/5 and -$1500 at 5/10. down $8400 at live this year

this. my spending is ~3k/month which I need to get down to 2k/month again. the degen under rolled shots are definitely what kill me though

this graph kinda shows it:

the red line is when I hit my 500nl downswing in march and lost ~13k (plus another 10kish at 1knl+ on other sites). still trying to rebuild from that. 130k hands later and I'm getting there.

kinda crazy I lost a pot bigger than my current roll a few months ago at 50/100

tacos puebla on la avenida pedro loyola is really all you need to know about ensenada.

seriously tho, so much better than rosa. learn spanish tho, it'll be good for you. having a boyfriend who is a native speaker ought to give you a lot of practice and take some of the initial anxiety out of trying to speak in public.

your bf ought to have a much easier time finding a job in a kitchen/food industry somewhere down there too. something like 4-5x the population of rosarito down there.

idk how much hunting youve done, but i recommend the north side of el centro for househunting and also down by the beach area/la avenida pedro loyola a little southwest of el centro. those are good spots for a young couple like yourselves, right in the middle of everything.

starts to get a bit less affluent as you go south towards maneadero, but its still nothing like the worst parts of tijuana. branch off towards la bufadora and there are some really nice condos/houses in private communities down on the beach at punta banda.
