Anyone trusted able to trade btc for usd via venmo or something like that? Can't find a way to get money onto bodog except wait 11 days for a usd deposit to clear into my coinbase account. Don't really want to wait 11 days to play poker but can't figure out any other option at this point.

Been losing so horrendously on bros/clubgg/bodog that I went to play some live poker. Played 90 hours of 2/5. Lost 4k. Ready to just quit tbh. Had that feeling for like a year now that no matter where I play or how I play I will get setup after setup hand. Have over 30k hands in a craaazy juicy club, multiple 60+ vpip whales per table and I'm losing over 10bb/100 in that sample. just wild

I'm sure you'll just dismiss this out of hand Tanner, but have you considered you might be getting cheated in that club game?

It is definitely possible. It's tough to say. Its only 100nl/200nl so seems like there would be more lucrative spots to cheat. On the other hand cheating can go undetected a lot longer at lower stakes and its still a lot of money out there.

I try to be attentive for weird stuff and honestly it just seems like whales sunrunning. Calling 3bets with 62s floating k73 for runner runner straights in a hu 3bet pot doesnt seem like cheating. Though there is the occasional hand that makes me wonder wtf is going on (like folding 88 4 way in a 3bet pot on a72 vs a donk and 2 callers and the 3 of them check it down with 76s, 55, kq after i fold) but i also get looked up by incredibly light hands constantly. Like 22 calling it off on an A high board in a 4bet pot and donating 100+ bb my way.

Just kinda in a spiral where I can't put together a winning week no matter where I play, even live.

Luckily I had a good day yesterday. Joined a new club and they gave me $100 free signup bonus. Ran it up to about $2500 so far. Also made a couple deep runs in bros mtts yesterday and won a few k along with 10 bi in the cash games. Could have beenn a huuuge day but I'll take what I can get right now.

Yeah I mean that's exactly what I do I just can't beat them lol. It's not hard to adjust to but it is hard to never win for such long stretches against total trash plays. Most guys are 3betting sizes like 2.5x ip and 3x oop so you can't have a fold range to their 3bets anyway.

It's felt like anytime someone gets AA pre I get dealt AK+ so out of curiosity I checked my average all in preflop equity with premiums.

KK: 53% avg pf equity
QQ: 45%
AKs/AKo: 43%
JJ: 37%

For KK to have that low avg all in pf equity my opponents basically have to only get it in with AA/KK/QQ and AKs. Throw in AKo and KK goes up to 57% equity. So I'm either running horribly aipf or I'm playing guys who simultaneously 3bet/vpip way too high and also don't want to put the money in without the absolute nuts preflop.

Which would make sense except my 4bet bluffs always get jammed on light af. I check the hh the next day and see all kinds of air so just feels like every single 4bet bluff gets picked off with omniscience while even when I 4bet KK I know I'm getting stacked.

There's a 2/5/10 no cap with my name on it. not sure how I'm going to split live/online yet, going to feel it out and see what I like. But minimum 60 hours/week so I can take a full week off each month.

dabbling in some 2/4/8 plo5. Lost a huge one on a 6 way flop with the nut flush draw with AKQJx on AT5 all in on the flop vs AT753 no bdfd and bare 55 no backdoors. AT just donked pot and called it off after a shove and a call lol. Was surprised my hand has 60% against those two, expected 45-50. absurdly fun/profitable game but I couldn't grind it.

Like any good degen I just had to go try my luck at high stakes again... **** me why do I do this... I know it always ends with me donking it off

Pretty incredible that I had ~15k left in my roll 2 months ago and felt like I would never win again. I've made more since then than I made in the last 18 months combined. Poker is wild.

Bit of a brag, yeah, but it's also incredibly difficult to remember the upswings when you're in the midst of the bullshit for months on end. The next time I feel like I might never win again I'll come back to these posts and remind myself that I don't have any leaks on the luck side of poker. I cash all my sklanskys and a few extra sometimes

About done with my first month back. Barely played any poker but what little I played went really well. So much fun to be back in live games where the raise size at 1/3 is $25 and you get 7 callers to every flop. There's no 2/5 for a couple hours from me but who needs it when there's multiple 1/3 games that get 10-20k on the table and the straddle is essentially mandatory most nights (can raise to $40 with the straddle on and still go 7 ways lol). Massive vibe difference between playing in socal where everyone is miserable and playing here where almost everyone is just there to have fun donking off 1-2k like it means nothing

Hey, thanks for dropping by. Life's good. Really good. I love being back in california. Hiking, biking and kayaking a lot lately. Trying to focus on being active/eating better/not drinking as often. Up to ~195 lb for the first time ever and ideally should be 160-70 so I have some work to do lol.

Been splitting time between auburn and rosarito but hopefully my boyfriend will have a tourist visa in May. Trying not to get my hopes up too high in case he gets denied but to be honest I haven't been so excited about something in a long time.

I'm so ready to never set foot in that country again tbh. So so beautiful with amazing people but the corruption and harassment gets really tiring. Mx city is my favorite city in the world and pretty much everywhere I've gone has amazing food, amazing people, gorgeous sights to see.. but it's not worth the harassment/attempted robberies. And I'm not talking about the cartels.

Also, one of the big reasons to go somewhere like Cancun vs somewhere like Hawaii is that a vacation to Mexico used to be significantly cheaper. My last two trips to Honolulu were much cheaper (lodging food and transport) than my last two trips to Cancun. You also don't get the feeling that everyone is trying to scam you or trying to see just how much money they can get out of you at every turn. Can't tell you how many times I have to send my boyfriend to buy us beers at a bar because the price is 100 pesos higher if I do it (despite fluent Spanish) Even rent has skyrocketed to the point where I'm actually paying less for the same size apartment in California than I did in Rosarito.

aaaaanyway, enough about that lol.

I binked a nice score a few days ago. Felt especially good because I took 7th a few weeks ago in a tournament with close to 60k up top and was feeling awful about it since then.



1st would've been nice but I griiiinded that final table. Never had a chip lead, was in 5th 5 handed and down 3/1 going into HU. Managed to get a 2/1 chiplead before losing a flip and running bad all the way into second place. The guy who won it wanted to make a deal when we were 9 handed and somehow he ended up taking it down lol

2nd place???? You know that's just the first loser right?! /s
