B/Roll $200.00

Hello guys and gals, SBP here with what will be my first serious foray in to bankroll building.

I've done this haphazardly in the past but without any significant structure I played at 18 (now 29) a lot, and performed exceptionally poorly despite reading as much as I could. However in recent months I have gotten back in to Poker in a big way, more than just reading I am forcing myself to understand the theory and am constantly searching forums, Youtube and Twitch content for anything that will increase my BB/HR and give me an edge at the tables.

One of the main reasons for making this Grind public is for the feedback and criticism (although something more constructive than "You are a donk, go back to donksville" would be appreciated).

Goals
I have told myself since I was a teenager that I would take a break from real life at 35 and go exploring and live a little. At the top of my bucket list is a trip to Vegas during the WSOP, even if I don't play an event just being there would be an experience!

So my goal here is to build, manage and maintain a bankroll and watch it grow in to something I can use to support myself while I knock things off of the bucket list at 35 (or earlier if I can get my head in the game).

There is no monetary target here, a healthy five or six figure sum would be swell!

I'm starting with $200, I need 30 buy-ins to take a shot at a level, 40 buy-ins to play it consistently.

$2NL @ $80
$5NL @ $200
$10NL @ $400
$16NL @ $640
$25NL @ $1000
$50NL @ $2000
$100NL @ $4000
$200NL @ $8000

...anything above and beyond that is just gravy.

The Rules
1. Don't play for the sake of playing.
2. Do not multi-task while playing.
3. You shall not risk more than 5% at a time.
4. If thou lose 2 buy-ins in a session - leave and review
5. Notes to be taken after every showdown.
6. 2000 hands minimum per session.
7. No more than 2 active tables.

I should say that at the moment, I am slightly ahead with Poker, but I do have a tilt problem and have seen myself spew buy-ins at a rate enviable to Paris Hilton going through Credit Cards. Had it not been for me binking 2nd in the big $3.30 for $1450 in July and placing 44th in the Sunday Storm for $454 I'd be way down this year.

So to combat tilt I've used the facilities available in the Pokerstars software to restrict me from playing stakes, or tournaments that are outwith my bankroll. These take 24 hours to amend so when I tilt, I'm tilting at a level I can afford to have some variance at and not climbing the stake ladder donating money to better players.

So I know going by my table above $5NL is within my range to play, but I'm going to force myself to beat $2NL first, maybe 10k or 20k hands, most probably Zoom.

And with that it's off to the felt, wish me luck guys!
