Welcome in my PG&C thread,
I'm playing poker quite a while now but nothing serious simply because I didn't have the time to study enough and put in the volume I want. But this will change in 2017 and will use this thread to keep track of my results and post hands.
Poker seems to get more difficult each year but I still think poker can be profitable. It all depends on how much time you are willing to put in. Zoom seems the most popular game for a while now and for that reason I will avoid the Zoom tables. It's in my opinion the most difficult format of poker, simply because you don't create a dialogue with opponents. And on the lower limits you have several hundreds of people playing at the same time, you are forced to play ABC poker.
I will grind the regular tables and I have a bankroll of $1100 and I will start at 25NL 6-Max. 80% of the time I will be at the table and 20% of the time I will study, I think that's a good balance.
Goals for 2017:
- 35k hands at least each month
- Be a pro at note taking
- Reach 100NL
- Take coaching at some point
