I'm no HU specialist but it hasn't felt like I've played against some special software. Maybe my spewtard spaz style is better than their GTO program

First time in my entire career I've folded a pair at any point of a hand!

Sounds good I'll post next time I'm heading to Perth

Short update. Still playing 10/20/40 until I can prove to myself that its possible to flop a set without losing a stack. Just kidding obviously but I've always been good at quickly moving down stakes when running terrible. As much as we like to tell ourselves differently, I don't think many people, including myself, are capable of playing their A game whilst losing stacks left right and centre. Moving down stakes takes a ton of pressure off and allows me to focus on the right things 100%. It's also quite incredible the difference in skill level dropping back just one stake.

I've been 2 weeks now without alcohol or sugar so I'm going out to have a few beers tonight. I've been to the gym 3 days in a row now so need to give that a rest tomorrow too. Thats means I'll be taking tonight and tomorrow daytime off poker before kicking back into gear tomorrow night. I'm going to try put in a huge effort on the weekend and syphon some funds out of the Chinese economy. I'll post results at the end of the week.

Good luck everyone

Got myself back into a good routine in the second half of last month as planned.
Towards the end of the month I ended up flying across the country to hang out with a mate for a few days after he caught his wife cheating. This interrupted my poker volume but I still managed to smash the gym 5.5 days a week which I plan to continue. I gained over 2k's from lifting in the last 3 weeks which I'm stoked with and helps with the motivation to continue.

Poker results were terrible but apart from 2 sessions I played really well. Looking forward to some rungood this month hopefully!!
Also, I read today that statistically people get laid on average 89 times per year. Looks like I'm due for some serious heat on that front too!

Goal for December
- 50k hands
- Gym 20 times
- Partying 3 times max

November results (only played half the month)

Nothing much to update sofar in December. I still havnt had a beer which is a pretty solid effort and have played poker everyday.

I've stuck to playing 10/20/40 for the time being especially since I took another hit with btc. I think I'm completely done with crypto now and probably the only donk in the poker world to actually lose substantial money from it.

The 10/20/40 games are much softer than the 20/40/80 games and it also feels like there is tons less collusion. I was planning to put some volume in at 50/100/200 over Xmas but we'll see how the rest of the month goes and how I'm feeling.

Yo man! Great to see your foray back into 40 has been fruitful.

What clubs are you playing at the moment/how are you finding game dynamics now vs 3/6/12mths ago?

Thanks man, Im just playing in the main public clubs but I'm in the process of changing agents and he's said he'll get me into some good ones. I'm not sure how the games were 3+ months ago. I only recently started playing Pokermaster, I was playing Ignition before that. I'm still not sure which site is more profitable but its nice to change things up.

Merry Xmas and Happy New years!!!

Had a really solid month poker wise. I played a ton as I was secretly trying to match Meale & Broken's volume to give myself something to strive for. I played every single day up until Xmas I also didn't miss a single day at the gym other than planned rest days.

I had planned to at least move back to 20/40/80 but I was offered the opportunity to play in some Chinese only games. Unfortunately this involved playing no higher then 10/20/40 and often only 5/10/20. The good news was these were possibly the softest games I've ever played. These games combined with putting in a monster effort with volume gave me what I would assume to be my best ever month in buy-ins.

I did have one setback unfortunately. I play on a Mac using Windows through Parallels Desktop. Right around Xmas Windows completely crapped itself. Knowing virtually nothing about computers means I had absolutely nothing backed up so was left with a decision. Wait until after Xmas and take it to the computer shop to try save everything or just wipe it and start fresh so I could continue to play. I chose to reinstall Windows from scratch.

The most frustrating part of this was losing all my notes. I am an avid notetaker and literally take notes on players after ever hand I play and often when I'm not even involved. Since all the players usernames are in Chinese a quick glance at my notes often refreshes my mind on who they are and how they play. Now I don't even have HUD stats.

Looking forward to next year I have yet to make any goals. I'm still not sure where I wanna live so figuring that out should be my number one priority. I've had some offers to start coaching again but so-far have only agreed to take on Meale. For a number of reasons I'm always reluctant to take on students but he ticks all the boxes and I'm sure we'll have him crushing more than just Thai pussy in no time.

Anyways I'm off to celebrate one of my favourite years so far
Peace

Really pleased to hear you finished the year strong mate despite losing your beloved notes. Looking forward to a solid 2019 for both of us out here in Thailand!

Good work ethic mate, good luck with the goals and challenges.

From the threads I've seen the most successful people seem to have the balance of poker and lifestyle sorted including gym/nutrition. Good luck at Aussie Millions
