Hello everybody, welcome to my thread!

This is my first post, I have opened a thread so I can track my grind/progress in one place and would like to share it with you.

I'm 29 years old, I'm from Croatia. I have a steady job, playing poker as a hobby for about 3 years (online and live).
I have had some small successes so far but nothing spectacular.I think my biggest problem was bankroll management and constant cashout of (small) profits,
so i have been starting from scratch many times already (I lived alone for 8 years, paid rent and everything else).
I have been living with a girl recently, it's a little easier so i hope with this thread/challenge is now over with cashing out.

So far I've played multiple types of game (cash, HUSNG, MTT) all microlimits , but the most success I've had by playing MTT.
I'm very competitive in nature, I like to play tournaments, i think they are very interesting, like the thought that big winnings can happen and I think they may be the easiest to win.
I was learning basic things about poker for the first half year when i started, later I was mostly playing and I studied much less(follow poker on youtube) until recently when I got the motivation to learn the game again and make some progress.

I'm passionate about the game, I can play long sessions, but I have a limited time considering I have a steady job.

From now on and in 2020 I'll give it a serious chance to become more than just a hobby, I plan to invest the maximum time i have in poker, playing and learning.
The goal is to build up a sustainable bankroll for MTTs with avg. buyin's of about 15$ which would be enough to quit my job (in my state the average salary is 1100$, I would be happy with that) and to start playing full time and make dreams come true, work for myself, becoming a professional poker player.

*These are some of my results so far, I know the sample is extremelly small, but I hope to be on the right track and beating a microstakes, with this topic I hope to prove it.

Current (and thread's main) Party poker graph

Overall played 698 mtts, avg buyin 2,6$, total profit 856$

For study I use only Equilab and HRC for now.I play 4-6 tables, plan is to play about 500mtts monthly, so far I have used the hud very little, the plan is in 2020 to get HEM or PT and gradually start playing with the hud, but for now i will play HUDless.
Currently I only play on Party poker, in the future the plan is to start playing at some other sites (you can suggest me sites, winamax maybe?) in order to have a better tournament selection.

Bankroll is currently at 280€ (310$), I play 1-3$tournaments, some sat's and rarely 5$ if I estimate it has great value (one or 2 per day), total avg buyin is going to be about $ 2.5.
When I drop below 50 buyin's for 5$ tournaments there is no chance of playing a single one of them. If I fall below 100$ I don't play 3.3$.
I will take small shots on 10$ the same as for 5$ so bankroll must be at least 500-600$.

I think this would be enough to start with, the plan is to update weekly or if there are some unexpected situations.
If you have any questions I'm here, I'd love for you to post some comments, to see someone reading this would give me even more motivation.

Until next time, bye and good luck on tables.

Update 1

Unfortunately, immediately after the PCG thread started, downswing started. This is the first small downswing I have experienced, it has lasted some 90 tournaments, I hope/think the situation has normalized in the last 2 days.

I lost flip after flip, situations 80: 20% (QQ vs 66...) were more like 30:70 for my opponent, 0 final tables in those 90 tournaments, just awfull, it was not easy for me to play.

A total of 107 tournaments played, the balance is -135 €, and my bankroll doesn't look promising. The problem is that i can't move down, if i lost i will have to deposit again and that's not a good thing at all.

The plan is to play smaller field tournaments in the near future, hopefully things will get better.
I also have to study the game from BB because I'm losing too much from that position( need to play more aggressively, i'm folding too much).

Thats it for now, thx for reading, GL on tables

When you say 1100 is the average salary, I'm guessing that's each month?

Update 2

It's been 9 days since the last update, so it's time to make a brief summary of the period.

Since last update i played 87 tourneys, + 37$

The good thing is that downswing has come to an end, the graph has stabilized.
I've played tournaments with fewer people, so this has contributed to the results, I'm also a little more satisfied with my game from BB.

The downside is that I worked very little on the game and played less tournaments, so I have to work harder on that. I didn't win any tournaments, but I had a lot of FT's.Also i won throught satelite (2$ for 22$) seat for the 200k GTD tourney where i build up above average stack on day 1 but only min cashed there.

Thats it for this update, thx for reading, GL on tables
