me

started poker about a 6 - 8 months ago didn't even know the rules properly
started with 10 $ lol bank role now have close to 400 (sick brag)

i'm beating 5nl for 5.10 bb over a 80k sample not the largest but i think its large enough to prove at least something ( i need to move up)

how long being realistic would it take to get to 100nl ? 30 buy ins so 3k

lets say playing 1 - 2 k hands a day (possibly more)
mass multi tablelinggggggg is an option

hope i can get some sweet answers
cheers guys

A decently conservative strategy, maintain 40 buy-ins per level. You can move up to 10NL right now. I have chosen 40 as a base, but you may spend some time moving up and down if you lose say 10 buy-ins right after you move up, I would recommend moving back down and grinding back up.

That being said, let's estimate in the middle (1500 hands per day), below are the calculations.

Beat 10NL @ 4bb/100 (bb as in two big blinds)
(4*.20)*15 = $12 per day
In 50 days you move up to 25NL

Beat 25NL @ 3bb/100 (bb as in two big blinds)
(3*.50)*15 = $22.50 per day
In 45 days you move up to 50NL

Beat 50NL @ 2.5bb/100 (bb as in two big blinds)
(2.5*1.00)*15 = $37.50 per day
In 53 days you move up to 100NL

Continue playing 100NL and win @ 2bb/100
(2*2.00)*15 = $60 per day if you continue to play just 1,500 hands per day. Note: This is a "great" WR at 100NL (not crushing but better than your average grinder)

Conclusion: 148 days (5 months) you can move up to 100NL if you can maintain the above win rates and play 1500 hands per day, everyday. Once again, this is assuming you don't hit nasty swings and 10 buy-in drops after moving up. I'd say 8 months to be safe.

Good luck - you can make some serious money when you get up to that kind of level!

One point to remember is that moving up is about more than your bankroll. Don't forget to work to improve your game or you will get to a stage where you move up only to move quickly back down over and over again. Spending some sessions playing only 3 tables may hurt your short term win rate but will allow you to really think about your game and improve, which will pay off big time in the long term (and poker is all about the long term!)

That will actually slow you down a lot. Play very few tables (4 tops) and learn the game. 10NL is tougher than 5NL, 25NL is way tougher than 10NL and 50NL is way way tougher than 25NL. It's not only a matter of being rolled to the level, it's about being skilled to the level.
Good luck bro (Btw, I'm in the same road, playing 25NL at the moment)

i i don't totally agree it will slow me down
i use to play 2-4 tables and now play minimum of ten and i see very small amounts of change in the quality of my play
i think this is completely person dependent tho

i do however understand the argument that i will notice this when i play higher and maybe it would be better to learn the skills now when a **** up costs 5$

but i get bored playing 2-4 tables
