evan my guy - we battle on global 2/5 and 5/10 like every day. I used to have a PGC thread here myself in lol live poker. You are A LOTTTT better than I was at age 21! keep up the good and hard work. fwiw, i have no regrets about dropping college and pursuing poker. I am engaged to be married, I have 250k to my name, still in my 20s, and i live a pretty happy and easy live. if poker is what you want, go for it!

Do you think it's worth it to play 500nl and 1000nl online where table is full of 100% regs? Do you think you have an edge against most regs at these levels esp with no hud available? Seems like with rake, variance, etc it wouldn't be worth it for such a tiny edge..

In regards to your live poker question, a big part of being a live poker crusher is two things..... First off, almost everyone even the regs esp at 500nl live and below but even at higher stakes are very unbalanced. So you have to pay super close attention to showdowns esp at 25 hands an hr. Instead of GTO, you focus on playing very exploitatative in most spots. Against super tough villains or spots you're unsure esp smaller pots, GTO is fine. People even regs tend to massively underbluff in big pots so you can make crazy folds tho.

The second thing is your mental game should be A+ esp for live poker. So try to only play on your A or B game. Also being patient esp when you're card dead. Still being able to fold KJo to an EP open etc. It can take you maybe a yr or two before you really get used to being patient and folding a lot. A lot of live poker is really ABC poker in many spots and just folding folding. People call way tooo much and bluff way too little at these levels esp at 500nl live and below.

If you play high enough, $5/$10+ live, and you're top 5% regs, you can definitely make $100 an hr.
