Hello everyone,
Quick Goal Advice (if you don’t wanna read background):
If I am going to return to live Casino Play (at Commerce Casino in Los Angeles) and play low stakes NL ($1-$2, or $1-$3) and commit to playing 15-20 hrs per week....would would be a realistic financial goal to hit for a good/winning player?
Additional:
If anyone has done something similar I’d love to hear your experience. Any helpful tips are appreciated and if people wanna hate or throw shade, that’s cool go ahead but I won’t reply. Thanks for your time if you read this.
Background:
I used to be a winning player before they made Online Poker difficult for US players to access if you live in CA, so I kinda fell off and never returned to poker at the skill level and consistency I was playing with - just played occasionally for fun (and $). I was doing very well at Limit and No Limit in the ($1-$2 blind level) and was actually winning at $5-10, $10-20 Limit Poker. I could do pretty well on occasional ($2-$4) NL and could sometimes hang at ($5-$10) NL but I knew I didn’t have the bankroll and skill to beat that game consistently so only did it when I was running well and felt like taking a shot.
I’ve read about 10-15 Poker books and played online at least 2000-3000 hrs before Party Poker banned US customers. I wish I could play online, but haven’t found a way yet so I’m going to play live where I’ve always done well mostly because a lot of the players at casinos are so bad.

Commerce, yup players still terrible.
But given the high rake I would advise saving up and playing the $5 bb games. Any lower than that and you will be making like $5/hr due to the rake and terrible short stack structures they have. GL.

Like Mr Spy said, with the high rake and short stack buy-ins at Commerce for the 1/2 and 2/3 games, you'll be making peanuts. You might want to play the Bicycle casino's 2/3 game which has a buy-in up to $300, so more money on the table. There's a youtube vlogger by the name of dogebag who vlogs his 2/3 games that he plays there sometimes if you want to check out someone's experience there. He doesn't put out his losing sessions though.
