You can 3-bet some overpairs for value/protection, but probably flat with any made hand below 99. In theory, I think you're supposed to float the check-raise very wide, with any two cards that have a BDFD (Snowie calls the check-raise with QJs/JTs!) but it's probably fine to put some wheel draws into your 3b bluff-raising range, as you've got equity even if villain calls with TT/99. Villain's real-life check-raising range is probably quite narrow/strong, but it's the kind of board where he should check-raise bluff a lot, as he can't check-call with his own overcards and he should know you have quite a lot of whiffs in your range.

this is the crux. I sense a population read, based on getting x/r frequently that both a/t and regs do this on this board, but like I said, i'm in training mode in these spots at the mo.

You'll know my confidence is on the up when you see me doing this at 50nlz

cheers Arty

Re: The Recmeister's Banter Bus

Life Update,

50nlz Poker has hardly featuredin my life for the best part of a month as I've been all over the place.

I have been on lol rec heater 5nlz and 10nlz though, mostly on my phone. I've won close to 200 bucks 5nlz/10nlz this month (no idea how many hands, don't track nuffink on my phone).

Reason I was down South in the old smoke was doing up my flat prior to putting it on the market, kinda helps when your old lady is a proper job designer.

pretty on fleek imo

So my EV (in net profit £££)

20K-30K meh
30K-40K lazy lob
40k-50K rampant stiffy
60K plus, tha she blows!

Kinda weird market at the mo, hence no real idea how this is gonna play out...

Re: The Recmeister's Banter Bus

Came back couple of days ago and did manage a little 50nlz. Usually when a b/b goes my way, it's a case of...

"get some muvver f****r"

but I will be unusually honest and say, I felt bad for villain as I think he played pre and flop nicely (better than I would)

You can ask Stars to email you the hand histories if you want to import them into your tracker for an epic graph.

The flat looks nice. Can I have it for 12 big blinds per one hundred days?

It's probably still in the cache. Latecomers to the thread probably can't see it, but even if they can, it doesn't matter too much, as 2+2 (on desktop at least) resizes it. If you're really desperate to have an image removed from a thread, you can report the post and ask a mod (from this sub-forum) to edit/delete it. (I can only edit/delete BQ posts).

Your 10NLz graph is epic. My 30bb/100 at 2NLz doesn't seem so impressive any more.

very nice Saturday morning 50NLZ sesh, short but sweet and a ton of interesting spots.

          First the entertainment

          versus fish

I don't see how i can get off this versus a fish. My turn line is weird, because it features two opposing, but both legit decisions.

I check for pot control and having already decided to stack off, raise for value (to prevent him checking down his lower pp).

I'm calling it cooler versus this villain, on this runout...so there!

H1 I think it's probably close between a small bet and a check. I could go either way with it but quite like something around 1/3 pot.

Re Hand 2, why do you rarely flat BB v SB. I'd expect most people to have a massive calling range there. Do you have a super high 3bet in that spot?

                      hell yes

                      here's why

Hero BB versus Villain RFI SB

Sample size 22000 hands (last 22K to be exact)

Don't mind flatting fish or regs when deep, but otherwise I pretty much 3bet my whole range in this spot and smile all the way to the bank, check out the 3bet%success and cbet%success and we are printing baby

                      OMC

PS yeah agree hand 1, smaller bet is better.

                      Re: The Recmeister's Banter Bus

                      It's very logical.

Regs will SB steal wide at Zoom, so their fold to BB 3bet range is going to be very wide. Nobody wants to play oop with a capped range versus and uncapped range, so their SB defence to BB is 4bet/fold. Up to 50 nlz, 4bet ranges tend to be linear and strong, which means even more SB folds and when SB does come over the top, BB hero can overfold, because he is printing money the rest of the time.

The key question is...at what level does that population read fade away? I'm hoping to find out about 100nlz b4 much longer.

Every one knows I'm a dyed in the wool rec, so when I've had a few bevvies, i'll slip down the stakes, select "tard-mode" and have a little 10nlz spew fest. It's Saturday night, her indoors has the X-Factor on (**** that ****) so I'll just prod buttons for an hour.

No fish these days...r u fkn ***** in me.

I know it is de rigueur to hate Stars, but if this is what is swimming into the lobby and up the stakes due to their business strategy, i'll take it over better rakeback anyday.

Isn't it odd...as tough as it is to grind these days, playing for fun just gets better and better. I'm up $400 this month, tax free, for doing something I fkn adore.

                                Later sportsfans.

...and my beloved reds stuffed Spurs.

Call. Don't fold a gutter + overcard in position BvB, especially with deep stacks. I can't speak for that villain, but his check-raising range in theory contains loads of crap that check-folds the turn. The small sizes of both your bet and villain's raise mean ranges are still wide/weak. i.e. He's making a cheap attempt to get you off AK/AQ. You should call with all your actual draws and made hands. KT also blocks some of his made hands that could be check-raising for protection, and is already beating stuff like 87cc/76ss etc.
