Pre-flop, I'm more inclined to use A5-A2s than AJs/ATs as my bluffs, but I don't think it makes a huge amount of difference. I also use a bigger 4-bet size.
Post-flop, I think that board is one where you can/should check your entire range, but it really depends what sizing regime you use. Villain has a few nutted combos (and draws) and you've got none, so betting big could be quite bad. I suppose if you choose a small size (1/4 or 1/3 pot) you can bet all your overpairs and overcards with backdoors, but I'd be more inclined to play the check-call game with TT+/AKs, and just check-fold the low equity stuff. I don't think you have enough fold equity to just bet and barrel off with overcards.

cheers Arty. Pretty much exactly what went through my head about a nano-second after I bet.

Kinda makes you wonder what villain had that he could fold getting four to one ish on the flop??

I made a note, "fit/fold fish or I got a/hole lucky with his range."

oh yeah, and I have AJs as an option play preflop, so agree with that to...A5s - A2s are my bluffs too. I'm doing off felt work on all my bet sizing at the moment, and then practicing it at 5nlz. I read that Janda article you posted a link to. Going to get his new book, but not until October time. Started to look at piosolver as well.

Frankly, I'm loving my poker just now, just getting very little time to play 25nlz seriously (like, none at all).

I have two projects (one business, one property) coning to fulfillment at the back end of this year, which (fingers crossed) will give me:

A shedload more time to play
and a hefty uplift to my life roll (some of which will go on Stars)

Which would be good news for the 100 nlz regs as fatboy....

Spoiler:

...joins the pool

One hand = tilt. Tried to play through it. No good, so dropped down to 10nlz.

Serious question has micro zoom stars ever been fishier? Fk me, what a whalefest. I get that every reg hates stars these days, but ffs you can just nit it up on 10nlz, four table and watch the dollars pour in.

Quickly doubled up on 2 tables, got my A game back and went back to 25nlz...second or third hand in...

Villain is unknown, my preflop...I've been RFI min raising the SB at zoom for sometime, it works and I have the stats to prove it.

      My bad

      A5

Assuming I call the turn would have been the T...then what?

I know that's erring towards outcome orientated thinking, but range based my thought was:

"I'm ahead of his draws (which look like a big part of his range) and have fd equity (no fe though) against his sets and 2p (not that many of either tbh)...easy game". I'm also crushing out of sight his baby flush draws. Overall, I don't think it is anything like a wa/wb situation, why can't I raise/jam???

for discussion, not debate of course.

I would just call the flop raise, but jamming flop is OK if villain raise-folds some really weak stuff (like 76dd, A5dd) and raise-calls lower flush draws. If you just call the flop raise, then you obviously go broke on flushy turns, either by donking small and calling off, or check-jamming. You can probably check-jam on most blank turns too.

Sometimes, your non-nut FD is just blockers.
So, you are still good to jam with the top pair and blockers. Definitely NOT a WAWB scenario, more like good poker.

      Jam is good.

Been travelling a ton (3300 miles in 30 days lol). Got a summer cold, as always when least convenient, now back in the hutch, doing a lot of gym and a lot of work. Off to France for a week, next week for family celebrations.

It all changes Sept 1st...assuming DT and Kim Ill Twatface haven't changed the world to glass by then.

No 25nlz, but some 10nlz & 5 nlz on my phone just to keep my hand in.

Played about 300-400 hands of 5nlz on my phone yesterday....interesting, spanked off about 8-10 buy ins

      88...flopped set...raised flop...villain jammed with a 17 outer. He hit, i didn't.

99...flop 8TJ...villain 88 (same villain lol) get it all in flop again, turn 7 river J

AA get it all in pre V KK, board xxKxx

      ...and the piece de resistance

hero 22, flop 244 (hero called) turn x (hero called) river 2 (hero raise/jammed)

Played the Sunday Storm last night. What a gigantic fishfest that is. Tripled up early doors, then card dry and bubbled out.

Reading the new Janda book. Not far enough in it to comment (although I'll admit, I'm dying too ), but nice of him to give us a ton of ranges to cross check against mine.

Work has started on my property in London (just a big polish it up job really) - depending on how that goes, I might just miss out 50nlz altogether. We will see, London property market is pretty ****e at the moment, so all bets are off.

Yeah, its a rare spot tho, how often do you see that many deep stacks on a zoom table? I thought about both your options at the felt but thought my hand just didn't cut it M/W with those stacks

I did sigh fold so I guess I got that right.

preflop is an adjusted opening, both range and bet size, targeting a couple of fish who both folded.

Hand 1 I think we just give up on the river. Population generally isn't going to xc turn with ace high so we beat nothing and we expect a lot of QQ+ and maybe AJo if they mix that in as a bluff. Just don't think it works often enough. I don't mind the turn bet though since it's a fairly decent board for your range.

Hand 2, fairly optimistic open pre but if you're going with this size, it's perfectly fine to open this wide. From what I've seen though, the Zoom crushers often have a fairly narrow preflop range and then go absolutely ham postflop - so might be worth a thought. Edit: just seen your note. it's fine.

Flop, not sure about the size if it's not vs the spazz. This board isn't bad for the BB CC range so I'd not look to go very big with your range. Kinda hard to say whether we fold flop since your sizing is so unconventional. IDK, guess it comes down to villain? If he's going to muck around a bit, I think we can call blocking top set. If nitty, prob sigh fold? Idk.
