I've not been here for almost two years! I've recently started playing again, with a tiny deposit (50$) and thought it'd be fun to run it up through the stakes. I'm playing on Party Poker, currently at 5NL 6max.

My aim is to only play 1,000 - 2,000 hands a week, and see where I am at after 5,000 and 10,000 hands. See what I can run it up to and maybe give you guys some sweats too. I'll post hands here, and some milestone results.

I know this won't interest a lot of you, and I'm redoing what I did a few years ago, My history was playing 8 tables, 25NL, grinding SNGs on PokerStars and playing live tournaments & cash £1/2, where I ran my roll up from 3 to 5 figures in less than a year, so hopefully, I'll get to do that again.

UPDATE:

I hit my 1,000 hands for the week, and ended the week with 0 losing sessions. I've been running pretty hot and PT4 says i've been very lucky with hitting straights, which I find pay off the best in micros, they're generally more disguised than flushes...

Unfortunately, I missed the cashback offer from PartyPoker although with the aim of 1000 hands per week, I doubt i'll hit their 5$ weekly offer (it's 25$ rake to clear 5$ cashback). I hit only 10$ Rake attribution this week.

TARGET: The target for next week would be to run half as well as this week, and hopefully add another 20-30$ onto the winnings - I'd like to be at 10-15BIs before I take a shot at the 10NL 6max.

Quick update at 1500 hands, had my first losing session, never really got going and had a couple of cooler spots... Still only two tabling as i'm on my mac and don't have my old set up where I can play 4-8 tables efficiently, so i'm struggling with volume. Feels great to be playing again, though!

Turn the right time to raise for value? At 5NL i'm obviously treating a min bet as a check... so betting seems good here, unless I want to induce on the river, I just figure there's a good chunk of cards that either kill me or my action on the river?

Apologies for the delay in posting, and i'm not sure if anyone is interested!

I'm now at 10,000 hands, and just under 50$ (10BIs), I went on a horrible downswing of ~ 6BIs, which was induced by tiredness and tilt, I've learned from this to keep my mental game in check, and that even though the stakes are tiny, when i'm tracking them I need to keep my tilt in check. I've introduced a hard cut off at 3BIs lost, and a break/reset.

My current bb/100 is sitting just under 10. I'm reasonably happy with this after the 6BI session.

Once I have 120$ in the roll (I spent 30$ on tournaments, which i'm now avoiding) i'll take two BIs to 10NL, and try to get some traction there.

I am very aware of the rake trap at 5NL and 10NL, and my aim is to be rolled and ready for 25NL so that the rake doesn't slap me about as much, especially when I am not putting in enough volume to receive enough rakeback.

I also transitioned from 6max, to 6max FastForward (Party's answer to Zoom) and this has had almost no effect on my WR, although i suspect this is not the case as we go up in stakes and the FastForward will be slightly harder than 6max...

I played a couple of hundreds of hands on mobile and ran well, but they aren't recorded in my stats, so my bankroll may always differ slightly...

I'm now at 12,000 hands and potentially looking at taking some shots at 10NL, I've passed 120$ on party poker, and with the reduced relative rake it's my aim to take aggressive shots at the levels above. 120$ gives me 12BIs at 10NL, so i'll take 2BIs to those stakes and then see how I get on, happily returning to grinding 5NL if necessary.

Thank you! I went up to 10NL, and wasn't playing my A-game, I was aware of only having one reload, and after a couple of hundred hands (losing around half a buy in), I decided I'd drop back down to 5NL.

I'll take my next shot at 20,000 hands completed, I played a couple thousand yesterday and scooped ~6BIs. This is annoying, as with my low volume i'm only just scraping the min rakeback each week ($5), although it's better to be playing my A game when venturing up in stakes...
