I'm coming back to play poker because of the critical economic situation and we are Driving first past in my country Venezuela.
currently, I prefer to play poker bets micro because it is more profitable and beneficial for me. in my job as a high school teacher my salary is currently $ 40 per month.. impossible live with this salary actually .. which is why I have been for 2 months playing again 0.25 $ 45 $ 0.25 90 satelites less than 70 cents and tables with LN2 and plo2 .. a salary between 70-100 $ per month is better than going to work.

I'm looking for some agreement to play some volume and tournaments

through this post I will try to explain in detail the reasons why I decided to play poker. Previously I told them I'm a professor of chemistry in high school, i work 36 hours per week and receive an salary in VEF 40.000.. in usd is = to 37-40$....


I will make a comparison so you can imagine the situation as to the quality of life we are facing now THE Venezuelans.

in Ecuador the minimum wage is $ 366 and the city basin an egg costs 0.15 USD .. in other words. a minimum wage in Ecuador would be 2440 eggs ..


in Colombia's the minimum wage is 760,000 (Colombian pesos) and an egg costs 350 Colombian pesos .. in other words the wage in Colombia is 2190 eggs.


In Panama, the minimum wage is 600 usd and the value of the egg is 20 cents ... if the worker collect eggs, eggs would win 3000 MONTHLY


in Venezuela the minimum wage is $ 34000 VEF around 33 usd in any city an egg costs about 150 VEF about 15 cents USD ... if the salary is calculated in eggs, eggs have 226 monthly .. or 39.9 usd .. . a Coke for 2 Lts = 1.7$.. hamburger costs $ 4, $ 5 meat. chicken $ 5. lunch for two at a good restaurant $ 25-35


is my question::: how many eggs you can buy with your salary in your country?


if you see from the outside is relatively cheap .. everything but the value of our currency is nothing for which it is very difficult to live winning VEF ..


For this reason I am taking poker seriously as main job. earning above $ 80 monthly usd is something better for me.


the nows goals are to try to win at least 150 to 200 $ usd monthly ...

I traveled through Venezuela a few years ago, just a few months before Chavez 's death. It is a beautiful country with really nice people. I wish you all the best. Did you ever consider leaving Venezuela and trying your luck elsewhere?

hey buddy... well to rent a good place let´s say to grind poker,, currently we can find some houses and apartments around 35-90$ monthly..

i rent a house with a friend, we have living here around 1 year almost one year yep.. and actually we pay 15$ monthly / 2 7.50 $ each one.. and the house is like a grindhouse furnished and equipped..

obviusly we can only pay it playing poker.. conventional works its hard very hard generate this ammounts to rent.. at least that u have good bussines but conventional people its hard actually rent this houses or apartments.. if we see in usd$ " its a gift and really is a gift hehe

Good luck in your journey. I am from Venezuela too and in the same quest. I mix spins and mtts, but i am tending more to the mtt side lately.

I have a fulltime job, i havent quit it because i have a family, and my money is on neteller/skrill and is not easy to exchange here, but i am seriosly analyzing the chance of leave my job and play poker full time. As far as i can find a reliable person to exchange $ from neteller, i probably quit my job early in 2018. I am curious when you said that minimal wager is 9$, i work in oil and gas industry and earn close to 15$, so minimal must be in the 3-4$ range no more than that.

What schedule do you have? How many mtts do you play a day? How many hours? I am trying to arrange kind of 5 -6 hours a day in the nights 8pm - 1am mainly with mtts, and some 45-90-180 man to fill volume. More or less with a 1$ ABI.

I have a full time job and I'm seriously thinking to quit and play poker, cahs game to be more specific. I work whith my father (and I hate it) and I have an E-commerce who is not give me good enough incomes.

ty mate.. HF yeah to be honest here with the black market.. the last days this market had a raise amazing and really few people can pay this value so.. i thnk that this the real ammount for the minimun wage around 7-9$..

my schedule starts aorund 10am and register to 3 pm.. around 15-30 mtts average 8 hours daily..
i think that the best that we can do is orgazite what games i want to play.. how many hours.. how many hours to study to grind.. to rest.. play all days is insane...

Hey man. It's crazy the wages where you live. With a decent work ethic you should be able to make a couple thousand a month, never mind $80 LOL! If you need some tips etc just ask me, I'm happy to help you. Check out my thread here if you like.

for this month i posted my goals:

- review the deep run after every session.. ( we know that normally we will be tired after every session, but if I want improve and recover ground here I have to do some sacrifices and work hard, so ill try to do this daily- except the Sundays.

-focus in the work in Cbet IP, OOP and defend bb vs CO/BU

-keep working in coldcall and ICM

- do session review with other guys.. At least 2-3 per week

- play 250 mtts

- evbb/100 > = 12

Online poker is great for you as hobby / high paid job [compared to your country avg]. Study a lot & play a lot and you can get to ~1k/month in pretty short time. Gotta say, keep the money in mind but focus on work ethic / playing best to your ability and scores will come.

Don't focus that much on EVBB/100 at least not in micro/low stakes. Keep your eye on tendencies that is played by pool and grind 'Holdem Resources / ICMZER 2' Spots

for January

- I have to leave all kinds of laziness
- Dedicate at least 50 hours per week in overall poker stuff
- Post hands and analyze with friends at least 10 hands per week with differents situations
- Analize study 15 ICM spots
- Play 350-400 mtt
- Keep working to improve in the stats BB defense vs CO BU and Cbet ip oop
-Review at least 2 deep runs per week
-modify my schudele games
- rewatch videos of the library

in personal…

- I have new cell phone so ill install de apps to re-take good meditations..
.- change Feeding Habits..
-Retake workout for improve the health
-english course
-Take oneDay/ week away from home to relax and recharge the mind(editado)

my goals for 2018 basically its about growing like person and pokerplayer:
-establishing consolidating good work ethic.. i need work on that
-help my family this year with my dedication im sure that 2018 will be great year
-reach medium-high levels buy ins but its secondary this.. i hope improve in all stuff and the climbing will come alone..
- i would like invest money in other bussines too to generate another economics income.
-obv i have many goals to add.. ill be adding soon...
