Note that your discovery's also true at $100. As I said yesterday, you're outplaying yourself. There's no shortcut of losing at $100 and going to $200 and winning because people are more logical/understandable. If you decide to attempt the shortcut you'll get crushed there too if you continue to make the same mistakes over and over.

Yeah, that said, I think it's still reasonable for me to not move up in a while, maybe rest for a week and just study pio in that week before moving up.

Re: rapidesh123, the legend is back

When other players are better than you it can feel like they're cheating or superusers or doing bull****.

Happens in FPS games all the time...seems like the better player is walling or aimbotting nah dude they just heard you and pre-fired a common angle when you came around the corner....was a headshot cause of crosshair placement they didn't lock your head.

Yeah these are all horribly played by OP super whale style. Agreed about H5. In game I'd be like "wtf" for a few seconds than call any pair/Ahi.

You will just lose money faster at 200z.

I'm pretty sure I will get to the river with TT and a lot of flushes if my 65s got there like that. I think there was a reason why I played my hand like that. I think I should just have gone for the jam there tbh.

And you dont get to that river with A high.

yeah, you have a couple TT combos and 2-3 flushes maybe. that's close to 0, so you gotta control your bluffs. Not saying 65s is a bad bluff, I just think it's super easy to over bluff here.

I get to the river with A high on that runout sometimes. I don't play/try to play like pio though

Rapid, I’m not trying to kick you down, but the only thing I see from your 200z is that you play like a huge spewtard where your lines are literally button clicking and make zero sense. Jumping back to 200nlz, where their plays are more “logical” and “understanding” is not your right move. Ofc, you’re adamant otherwise but that’s what you call suicide

Do you even realize how ridiculous that sounds? If you cant beat retards who are playing like idiots, how do you expect to beat a tougher pool where the regs are better and the fish are slightly less fishy? You butchered every single 200z hand you posted, no joke.

It's always tempting to play the games where the most fish are. It's another thing to admit to yourself that you are not good enough to play in those games.
If you have the roll, then fawk it.

It's really important to acquire a big sample of you beating the previous stake for a good margin. Just for the sake of self-confidence and professionalism.

Some retarded plays are harder to deal with if you never expect them coming. If a 18/15 tilts and 4-bets you with any2 he will be printing for a long time until you realize that. At 100z people go nuts and if they feel they're right they will go nuts with anything.

At 200z people just stick more to their strat and won't make bizarre plays that even though are bad, if I get owned in one of these I just can't play well for the rest of the session. I feel like I just can't get away with anything and give up some bluffs that are always good.

And when people open themselves that much vs exploitation, if you don't punish them in the right spots, you can't regain your EV. If someone overbluffs turn he removes weak hands from his x range, so if you don't punish his double barrels, then he will get away with it. And some exploits are quite extreme and can get really tilty/high variance (like 4-bet-calling AQ).

I just don't know if I will be capable of moving up soon, but I will keep trying.

I agree that it's good to know you beat the limit below, but if I get owned all day at 100z, I will never go anywhere, I will just be sending money from 50z to 100z. Btw, one of the endbosses of 500z skipped 100z because he was in the same situation as I am now: always getting smashed at 100z and regrinding 50z.

In poker it's hard for a play to be 100% bad, if you click buttons in the right spots you could end up owning someone. And maybe the metagame of 100z is just something I would take too much effort to figure out.

Lol, not even top 200z regs can play in there and be +EV, obv it will be very long until I think I'm possibly a winner there, would take months of pio work all day to even have a chance of being +EV there (and 20k+ roll)

Re: rapidesh123, the legend is back

Maybe it's the $100 regs that skip $200 and go to $500 while $200 regs skip the former $100 regs at $500 and go to $1k...

Haha

That's why isildur crushed everyone

Spoiler:

Gonna try reinstalling stars too, maybe it's the doomswitch lol.

But yeah, after thinking a bit I shouldn't be as upset as I am and more grateful, started the year semi-busto and ran the roll to a decent amount, ran really well overall. One run of bad cards and I could be playing nl16 now lol. That place is the real cancer stake.

You're confusing me :c

Reading Rapidy's strat posts is like reading the bible. It doesn't make any sense, does not have any proof to back its ideas up, and ultimately... is entertaining if you don't give it any credit as to being serious. lol

"Hey everybody, I'm Rapidesh - my dad is in the top 1% of money makers of the favela" and I'll skip 100z because explo-raketrap-vamovamovamoooo doesn't happen at 200z."

"95% vpip Libanese fish is too unpredictable for me to understand. 7bb/100 TAG regs give away their hand by being too intelligent and rational."

Wahahahaha lololz

If all the posters ITT could sign a big collective letter to encourage Rapid, I thinks he'd listen.
It'd be written: Your most +EV decision for your poker game is to become a taxman and never play poker again.

You posted a 50nl HH back in 2012. That's a long time ago, way before I even started playing. Curious to see what stakes you're playing now.
