This was vs a nit, thought the call would be losing since I don't expect a nit to valuebet that many chops for that sizing(or bluff that much), but thought that he would fold a lot vs the raise, he had a low WTSD. Obv my play is horrendous in theory, it's insane to turn this into a bluff. But gotta be insane while playing with insane people, vs good opponents I will never do this

Re: rapidesh123, the legend is back

H1. fold pre. lol cbet sizing on that texture. lol @turn cbet. lol unbalanced river jam.

H2. Fold pre. Shouldn't put a $ into the pot post, so naturally you auto spaz once villain checks and traps you like a whale.

H3. bet turn, triple or xc river.

H4. As usual you out whale the whales. Deservedly stacked.

H7. Think you have to call with ur line.

H8. Turning an easy call into a stupid bluff vs a nutted range. Well done.

H9. pot check raise and jam turn, or OB turn as played. You still dont know how to punish whales. Deservedly owned.

H10. dont try to bluff that board 3 way with air.

H11. 3bet is not just loose its terrible. You end up turning a simple fold pre into tripling with air.

H12. Obviously retarded.

Verdict. lulz

H1 and h2 are wp imo, h4 and h8 are major spews and h11 is decent, postflop is std, preflop villain was too wide pre, but potentially bad 3bet vs a good opponent.

I wouldn't play any hand like those if villains were good regs except h2 and h11(this one at a very low frequency)

@rapidesh good luck in your poker journey!

always when someone comments your hands i have to scroll up and down to

find "H4" and scroll back down to re-read the comment, because i already

forgot it after so much scrolling. how about you post less hands or the

same amount of hands in different posts?

good luck in 2019!

My only complaint is Rapid doesn't leave on a round number. Do either 10, 20, or 30. Other than that, the format is great and the hands are impressive.

Yeah, I've been facing the same issue haha. I post all the interesting/weird/funny hands I play, so I end up posting a lot of them. Will try to reduce the number of funny hands and stick to the only ones which are more interesting to discuss strat about.

NeA, I see why you picked those hands, sure that there's some unecessary stuff in them, but I see merits for all those plays but H4 (that's always a huge -EV play no matter what).

On h1 villain will rarely have a FH to defend vs us, possibly even 0 FHs since most people raise those otf vs a small cbet, so the bulk of his range otr is straights and Kx, otr he will see that AK is a FH and I can rep it very well, since villain was an unknown he will never have enough data on me to make that call, so the fact that I'm overbluffing is irrelevant: I don't need to be balanced vs him. Even fish/whales won't defend straights as much vs that sizing, they "always put me on AK". On top of that, it's likely that villain will misplay his blockers and will undervalue Kx in there, which should be his main bluffcatchers. If villain isn't defending enough Kx and straights my 3x pot jam is printing, I need to win 75% to breakeven there and I've rarely seen people defend enough vs those huge overbets.

H2 is std, good blockers, villain has few straights and few 2p+, he will have to defend some Ax. The only non-std part of my play is that I'm not overbetting turn, but I prefer to stick with 1 sizing ott and polarize OTR. Obv vs a weak reg I will be less selective with my bluff combos in there, but vs some of the good players I will watch out to not overbluff vs them. Good regs will punish me there if I'm bluffing 50%+ for sure. And vs some guys (even good regs) I will opt to underbluff in that spot, if I feel they're not explo folding (and are potentially overdefending), I can just underbluff all day, since most of my bluffs should be 0 EV vs a gto calling range. Underbluffing is a very strong exploit vs strong opponents, because it's the only exploit that loses 0 Ev (or close to) vs a gto defend.

H8 is an atrocity and I know its implications, I'm jamming all A8/A7/AT that unblock missed FDs, making me overbluff by like 90%+ in there, totally unecessary play, but since he is a nit he won't have 78 in that spot and I think he would fold AQ/AK/weak 2p. H8 is a sicker deviation than h1, not even close. I think I should avoid plays like that, because they are too ambitious, I also think I undervalued AQ, even vs a nit I think it's a +EV call in there, im a vaccuum I thought the jam had a higher EV though.

H11 it's just a very good triple hand, unblock fds, block some potential calls. I shouldn't 3bet many offsuited broadways pre though, like 10% max of each offsuit combo.

Do you ever overbet value hands at any point in the hand? Think I’m yet to see one. Hope you don’t always go 3/4 with value and overbet bluffs.

Vs good players I try to be balanced, vs weak players I don't see a point in overbetting value if they will fold. Vs strong opponents i overbet for value a lot, even for thin value. Tbh I changed this recently: I was one of the only people in the games I played which had enough value in my overbets, but after looking at how much people overfolded vs that I started playing a more exploitative style.

Balance is good, but it's pointless in most scenarios.

Btw, you may think it's bad, but lots of winning regs are doing it, in fact they do it vs everyone and not only vs weak players like I do. And there were lots of hands I posted here where I overbet for value, also I won't post many of those because it's not fun to post hands where I bet for value and villain folds.

Re: rapidesh123, the legend is back

No solver is opening anywhere near as wide as 74ss pre on the cutoff.
Monker is stabbing KTo OTT 0% and you're double barrelling & 2xing river.
Monker is double barrelling 74ss ~0% and you're tripling with a 3x pot shove OTR.

You can believe what you want to believe but all I'm gonna say is that overbluffing pre or post is an extremely dangerous game which can and will open you up to massive mistakes (4 & 8). Good luck.
