Yeah m9, you've been playing poker for 8 years and you're grinding 5nl, I have mad respect for you.
And yeah, it's not about the money, it's about the challenge of beating those 5nl geniuses.

There's no "right" way to grind up a roll. I grinded it up from 10NL but if I started off with 5k it would of saved me a heelllll of a lot of time

Why¿ 5k for grind 10nl
Beh, understanding you can move up fast (with less hands played compared with a solid brm) if you have 5k but lost experience, anyways can moove up same fast with a agresive brm, and go learn more and go have more motivation. I can’t see how have 5k br can be positive, sure positive if use the 5k to learn, but I can’t see how have it in the bank can be positive. Worldzmine is right when he says has more merit start with small br, you are right with first sentence but I can,t understand the rest of your comment xd

Plenty of people including myself have done this, but better. You're not special. Youre not entitled to the respect you think you deserve. Like someone said earlier get off your high horse.

Ur right. Winning 3bb/100 is the exact same as 3bb/100 at 5knl. Boy you smart!

Re: rapidesh123, the legend is back

Most people start from the bottom and grind it up instead of depositong a large sum because they dont have the skill to beat higher stakes yet, which is ofc normal. If you could start out at poker and have the skills to beat 100NL then you should go deposit 4k or whatever and go play it! It is no cheating, there is no contest for who dors better from nothing.
But the fact is that if you are stuck at micros for so long you very likely doing stuff wrong, and nobody owns you respect just cause you are smart enough to not lose more money playing higher.

People still bluff, actually massively overbluff in some spots, but it's hard to identify them. My strat was to blindly overfold in most spots, which is still better than calling in gto frequencies, but still suboptimal.

m9, you've never used a solver, yet you keep talking about gto frequencies that you cant really know without putting in some solver work

Re: rapidesh123, the legend is back

Sorry for 2 messag but I would like to edit the previous message bc is a little mistake xd, if having a big bankroll to start is not positive, then it has more merit to start that way lol

I also want to clarify that my first message today was a bad joke that now I think I'm very bad, I got up and laughed a lot reading the comments while I was sitting in the toilet. My day started very well thanks to that.
My intention was good lol but I think now my phrase seems nonsense
I should not make many jokes in English jjjj
Sorry for diverting rapid, I stf a little lol

Agree with your last coment, have in mind thinks like go over fold in many spots seems bad approach bc any hand are a world

I've watched a lot of rio videos, specially sims, so I have a decent idea of how much should we call and why. Don't need a solver to know that, also if I had one, studying equilibrium wouldn't be the thing I would do.

The proof is in your results. You dropped down from 200z to 100z to 50z. That doesn't tell me you have a decent idea of how much to call. In fact, it tells me the exact opposite.

Gto calling frequencies shouldn't be used IRL, villains often play far away from that to make those calling frequencies +EV. Also the fact that I dropped from 200z shouldn't be an argument to justify I'm playing wrong, any reg with my bankroll in there had already a decent chance of hitting a downswing like I did and having to move down, specially if his winrate would be <3bb/100 like mine was.

The fact that I've played on that stake for so many hands can only be used to justify in my favor, can't play so much in there without learning some stuff.

Btw guys, thought a little here and will look results at the end of the month, if I have a 4k roll I'll take shots at 100z again. It's stupid to think I can't beat a stake with so many fish. Will just tighten up a bit pre and bluff less postflop to avoid the problem of stations tilting me. Will have to stay at 50z until the end of the month to learn more about deep stacks and regain my confidence and mental game.

Re: rapidesh123, the legend is back

nothing wrong with playing 1 or 2 limits below your normal limit - anyone who says otherwise is probably not a winning player and just trolling you.

I'm grinding 25NL right now because I some 94/76/45 moby dick stole boatloads of stacks from me at Omaha, they left with a 2,500 bb stack. Just because I can beat 50NL doesn't mean I have to play it - 25NL is a joke and I get daily rake race so...why not? Bankroll builder, easy games, rebuild confidence, etc.

Btw, not sure if you are trolling people with your in game plays (opening and cbetting 54s with just a gutshot, jamming 4x the pot w/AK on 5566, overbetting in spots where smaller bets probably get same results, etc) but GL I'm just kind of annoyed that some posters are bashing you pretty hard. Maybe they jealous of you?

This can happen even to some good players when they use a very aggresive BRM. While you are willing to move down when you have to and take shots aggressively, I don´t see any problem. Not saying that this applies in rapis case.

Fyi - There are even worse examples. See Jektiss, went from 200z to 10z within few days.
