Bankroll is at $1300

I played really well today, like insane good, even by getting coolered like hell I managed to make some money. Made really good adaptations, tight folds(AQs vs a 3-bet from a huge nit).

Some hands from today

H2: vs same guy, it seems like a bad river jam on his part and bad turn barrel, but you guys have to consider that I'm a nit and I fold like crazy, he is also valuebetting AQ OTR. My call was terrible vs the pool, but as I said, this is who I think it's the best 50z reg. Blocking QKss makes it a really bad call, right?

Fold pre 43s.
A8s is tricky, I'd consider checking before betting

43s is profitable on most line ups in the pool, I usually check before opening this wide if people aren't 3-betting enough.

A8s is tough, vs a fish it's a clear bet bet bet for value, but vs weaktight guys they're never calling with worse.

43s is probably fine if fish in blinds/ regs overfolding BB + not a lot of aggro regs behind.
12-06-2017 , 01:01 PM
Its not that good even vs fish. Not good bluffing 4-high and rly hard to get value when you have flush, esp. OOP

Better to focus on other things than post small samples trying to defend your decision to open 43s utg.

Bankroll is at $1400

Played a ton today, decided to change my routine during december because of how sweet the tables are. Will stop with mtg with my friends and will stop with watching RIO videos/tv shows so I can put more volume.
Will do it only for this month though, on january I'll start studying in a school for people who want to pass in the government jobs, so I don't know how poker will be in those times. I think I'll still play around 30k hands/month + some studying, but let's see how tired I'll get home after the class.

Month so far, at least going well in volume, #breakevenland

Haven't seen tables as good as this since NL2 lol. Played extremely well today, with no medium mistakes, which was easy because internet was lagging like crazy so I was taking breaks every 30 mins. Sad that I had to quit because internet made it unplayable. In this time in Brazil the weather is really good, rainy and clouded, which I love, definitely feel better than on sunny days. The sad part is that when it rains, usually the internet starts disconnecting + getting slower lol.

Some hands

H1: vs reg, he snapped the river btw lol. Probably fell off the chair after he saw that I could actually show up with the nuts there.

My reasoning in the hand was that OTF it was really good for my range, since I have most suited broadways, all sets and the strongest TPTK and 2-pair on the board, is it ok to range cbet there? What if I'm opening with trash like J2o vs the guy as an exploitative play, is it good to check the hands I'm opening exploitatively and cbet 33% with my "normal" range?.

OTT the J was good for his range, so I decided to check most of my range, Jx, straights and draws are good to bet the turn, right?
OTR I don't know why I checked, just to be trappy tbh, also I think most people valuebet Ax since it's almost never beat there. Is it the 2x sizing ok OTR? I've made it bigger than usual just because I thought villain would think I was full of bull**** most of the time lol.

H2: UTG was a whale, cold caller was a reg. After the reg made that call his range was really face-up: 99-JJ, maybe AQs. Was it ok OTT? If the reg had called the turn, I would check back most rivers, since it's quite obvious that JJ is no good there with a fish in the pot. If he raised, snap folding, right? OTR is it ok to call there? Sizing was so small and I thought the whale could have some FDs to bluff there.

H3: vs whale, is it ok to jam the river? With those pot odds the whale is probably isn't folding Ax, but I thought there could be a chance, specially with my blocker. Maybe the guy got stacked so much in the day that he could find a random fold out there? Looking back it seems a super spewy play and it seems I'm just valueowning myself vs 6x. He tanked for 20 seconds before calling btw, which is insane for someone making plays like he did haha.

Well It only took 1 hand to shake my head. You got minimum value from the AJ with your line, and still don't seem to understand the basics of building pots with big hands. How do you expect to build pots when you check twice oop? Reading your mindset in the hand its clear you are just over thinking rather than doing the basics of good exploit play. Betting 31% on that flop is lol imo. I would bet 2/3 3 streets there and exploit call money regs who can't fold. Your line made it so incredibly easy for him to play his hand, zero pressure.

H2, you are betting turn 1/3 into 85bb pot 3 way on a wet board. It should be a pot jam. You gave them both odds to call turn, so easy to play. River call was bad also.

His 1/3 flop bet with AJ is fine.

What hands do you bluff with on the turn when you pot?

I would barrel any spades, but the point is, I wouldnt think what bluffs I have I would be thinking what value I can get from the wide range he calls the turn with. When you focus so much on balance you are giving these ******s way too much respect at these levels imo. There is no way X turn oop is even close to good play there ever imo.

You should always be thinking how your range wants to play on certain textures etc. and I don't think it's ever to early to start.

That hand is wp imo.

At what point to the detriment of ev though? so you think his line was max ev?

i dont think flop needs to be a mix, and definitely not with this hand, but if we do then turn becomes ob/check

First AJ hand I think I prefer a bet -- seems like people are checking back way too much there IMO, almost never see that being stab'd. Going for the x/r is not some huge mistake though???

EDit: Yeah I like overbet the most IMO. In theory i can see this being a x/r often but in practice it feels people are just passive as ****.

Bankroll is at $1700

Getting really lucky, but more confident also, I haven't tilted in a while, also making some effort to prevent tilt, like today when I stopped playing after a 5 BI win to prevent winner's tilt. I'll see if I can make a huge session on christmas and new year's eve, will wake up early (6AM) and play from there until I have to meet my family for the party. I think playing in those times will have a huge impact on my EV and boost my bankroll so I can move up.

Graph since november 1, running very well in the sample, but I think I've improved my play a ton before that graph, specially my mental game.

Some hands

H1: vs the best reg of 50z, it's ok to jam the river for value, right? a good amount of my draws missed there and he is capable of calling with Tx/Jx, since he has made way more sicker calls than those vs me before.

H3: vs guy that hates folding vs me, some of those guys go into a more stationy style and others go more aggro, this one looks more like in the middle, OTR I decided to fold because he was calling super wide pre-flop, even AJo, had a note that he called a 3-bet OOP with 9To. So I blocked his most frequent bluff, which is AQhh, I blocked JQ only, meh, calling with AA without a heart is better. Good fold, right?

thx for the feedback, guys!

I played the second AJ as I would play vs a fish, since villain was unknown, so chances are that unknowns are fishier, so went for more value from his weak Ax and midpairs.
