Hi,

I wanted to make this blog to track my progress and ask some questions and hopefully get help.

Some background: I played online poker for a living back in the day and have always loved the game. I was a very small winner at 1/2 full ring, but made pretty decent money after rakeback for a young guy. Unfortunately i had mental health issues and ended up getting pretty sick and receiving a diagnosis of schizophrenia. I couldn't function at all for 11 years and I'd describe those years as hell. I made some kind of miraculous recovery and my brain works pretty well now. I wanted to get back into poker after a long time and take it as a serious hobby.

I found GingePoker's youtube-video which I think is a freebie of his academy course. I watched that 4 times and played in between to make sense of the current 6max NLHE strategy/meta. I also downloaded an app called Poker Trainer and I've been practising preflop ranges. However my results have been **** even though people seem to play pretty bad at nl10. As you can see from the graph, I've only played 25k hands so hopefully it turns around. I downloaded PT4 and at least the LeakTracker hasn't found anything disasterous.

What I want to achive for now is a nice side income and just keep getting better at the game. I do have dreams of playing for a living in some warm country, but it's probably gonna take a while to get there

Oh, and I would apprectiate if someone could drop names of good and reputable low stakes coaches in the $50 and hour range, if they exist.

I’ve worked with some guys in your position, as well as others transitioning from live poker. I’ll be happy to do an hour call with you to give you some advice and give you a game plan. Free. DM me.

use GTO wizard to learn both preflop and postflop

you seem to barrel too much, sometimes you gotta wave the white flag and balance it with some hands to protect said white flag range

WTSD should be closer to 30, so likely a mix of you folding too much to bets while also betting too often

w$sd should be somewhere between 50 and 53 probably, get used to call mucking river, a tough concept that took me a long ass time to get, when you call river you don’t need to win very often at all, so if you click call to a pot sized bet and win 35% of the time you’re
winning

AF is too high, somewhere between 2 and 3 should be the goal

I do like to game a bit as well when I've grinded enough or I'm tilted. I've recently been paying Alan Wake Remastered and it's such a fun game. Great atmosphere, Interesting story and I like the combat mechanics. I'm looking forward to be playing Alan Wake 2. I watched some of it on Twitch and it looks really good.
