Also depending on chipset and cooler might be worth overclocking as this will help with Pio etc too.
Jealous, this would cost $1700 in Australia depending on graphics card if I built myself.
Good luck with playing some.
Thanks mate and thanks for the advice! Ye it's got a 250gb SSD. Graphics card is a GTX 980 ti, I'm a bit of a computer noob but I think that's a good'en. It's water cooled with a couple of fans so I'll have to do a bit of research on overclocking. I've seen it talked about a lot but haven't really got a clue
It runs at 4.0ghz all by itself, which is nice, but I've heard PIO is really greedy so it's definitely something I'll be looking into.

Right, just preparing myself for day 1 of the grind. Couldn't drag myself out of bed this morning. I mean, it's a nice change from not being able to sleep, but it hasn't done me any favours in terms of the challenge. My morning routine takes around 1.5-2 hours so I'm left with 13.5-14 hours to play 10 hours of poker (effectively 11.5 with the 15 minute break every 2 hours). So I definitely need to wake up when my alarm goes off tomorrow and waste less time getting myself sorted in the morning.
Also I'm in the process of purging all the hands from database prior to starting the challenge. There were hands in there from years ago and they were tilting me to even look at lol. Apparently I'm down $2k at 3/6 HU and I can't even remember the last time I played HU
. Weirdly it takes longer to delete hands than it does to import them, I left it running all night and this was the progress:
I'll do the same again tonight and hopefully it should be done by tomorrow morning.
Thanks for all the kind words btw guys, it's certainly nice to wake up to.
Let the grind begin!
