Supernova is a monthly status now, you have to earn 10k VPP every month to remain nova for the next one.

Haha oh that makes sense, thanks for clearing that up! Not sure if it's a good thing or not. Have the %'s stayed the same or have they sliced those in half too lol?

Arguably not the best time for me to start taking poker seriously but **** it

Just played a lil' session and had to cut it short after these back to back hands before I did some damage. This one tilted me so much lol. Like what the actual ****?

And then literally the next hand. Not played well by me having the Ad but I was a little steaming still from the previous hand. I foolishly assumed that no competent reg would be rasing JJ on this flop but I guess I forgot it was 10nl and there's no such thing as a reg

Ye I guess flop is kinda spewy but aren't we kind of forced to barrel on this runout? We fold out most of his overcalling range bar AK and I feel like most people at these stakes will just ship that pre vs this action. I put him on a pretty narrow range of TT-QQ when he floats flop even though we block it quite heavily.

Don't hold back lol. I am indecisive yes. Or at least I change my mind a lot. I Dunno if you've read beyond the first post but there hasn't been too much scheduling beyond that. I generally do what I want to do as oppose to what I should be doing so the schedule was just there to help me stay on track (until I went back on myself again).

And no, of course I don't think that being hard on myself is helping, but it's not exactly something I can just switch off. A lifetime of conditioning has made me the person that I am, so whilst I'm fairly self aware of my faults, it's gonna take some time to correct 'em. Rome wasn't built in a day.

I dunno what to say about me being "overly dramatic", it's the first time I've ever heard it. I enjoy writing so maybe it's my flamboyant wording that's led you to think that. It's certainly not the case in real life, I avoid drama at all costs and keep myself to myself for the most part.

Do you have any advice on overcoming any of the things you mentioned or do you not do the constructive part?

The thing is that you have brought nothing constructive to the thread. Your words are the equivalent of a bird flying overhead the OP, and purposely crapping on his head. What is the point other than you wanting to put him down? Now if you had given him some actual advice, then the ball would be in his court to decide what to do with it. As written there is not a whole lot he can do with negative poo. This is 2+2 though, so completely standard as played.

Pretty much all of 'em. You're just an ******* to be honest mate and most of 2 + 2 seems to agree. Reread my reply, how exactly did I take it badly? I didn't get defensive like you're implying. I actually agreed with most of what you said so the part about not listening to anyone but myself is bull****. You obviously thrive off of getting a reaction out of people so why not make another thread of your own and then you can have all the petty little arguments you want. Mug...

Spend a few minutes looking through his posting history it's pretty much all he does. What's funny though is that in his own thread he completely lost his **** at the slightest whiff of criticism.

Cute response obv most agree why wouldn't they lol? and yea i do enjoy trolling a little is that bad?. As for making another thread who knows it's more fun to just watch a community of people kiss each others ass and poke fun at them and watch them try draw conclusions about you. You do seem like a troubled person though so hopefully you beat your demons and can make something of yourself that you are content with. If i were to give any advice probably don't compare yourself to others if you do you seem like the person to get frustrated easy when things don't progress as fast as you want them to.

Making other people feel worse so you can feel better? Ye, I do think that's bad mate. That's the behaviour of a sociapath. Now obviously I don't know you, but typically this is indicative of low self esteem and insecurity - common traits shared amongst bullies. A bully projects authority by attacking others; whether that is their appearance, intelligence, strength, it doesn't matter. As long as they can maintain the aggressive position in the interaction, they get to feel like a winner. That's the conclusion I draw about you but I don't claim to be a psychologist so take it with a pinch of salt. And, maybe the community isn't kissing eachother's arses, but instead are just decent human beings trying to make the world ever so slightly less ****.

Thanks for letting your guard down briefly anyways and for the solid advice. It's good to know there's a real person lurking beneath the parasitic persona you project.

Okay so the goal for today is just to try and enjoy myself. I got into poker initially because I loved the game and I don't want to lose site of that. Putting all this pressure on myself to do well makes me anxious to play and it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. If I'm gonna do something I don't enjoy then I might as well go back to my old job (**** that) and clear £3k a month more than I am now. Let's take a step back and look at the reality of my situation:

-I've got a roof over my head for the next year and need next to nothing to live off.
-I'm adequately rolled for the games I'm playing and the money means **** all to me.
-Absent tilt, I comfortably beat up to 25nl and BE at 50nl (small sample size).

There is literally no pressure on me aside from what I put on myself, so I want to try and address that in the coming weeks. Today I'm gonna kick back, a big smile on my face, and enjoy spending my day playing a game that I love .

In other news, I was tossing and turning until 5.30am trying to get to sleep and woke up at 9am soaking wet and freezing. Anyone would think it was heroine I was giving up lol. 4 days clean though and I've no urge to smoke whatsoever. Another couple of weeks and the worst of the withdrawals should be behind me, and I'll have finally kicked the 10 year habit for good. Go me!

Just realised today's Monday so gonna treat myself to a day off. I know my schedule's all over the place at the minute but I didn't wanna commit too hard to anything in the first few weeks of gving up. As soon as I'm sleeping properly again I'll be more strict with the hours I play/study. At the moment I'm just kinda wingin' it. My post from yesterday seemed to really help with my mindset too. I was on the receiving end of some really ****ty beats and wasn't phased in the slightest. I'll have to just keep reminding myself of those few points until they're burned into my subconcious.

My morning routine has pretty much become habit now so I'm really pleased with that. Every day I wake up and spend half hour or so being a phone bod in bed. Then I get up, shower, meditate and eat breakfast. There's only been 2 days I haven't since starting the thread and they were around the time I started smoking again. I also set myself the mini goal of gaining some weight last month. I've been eating at least 3 times a day and have gained 8 pounds so far. For the last few (6) years I probably ate a ready meal every other day and filled the rest with crisps and other junk. I'm not exaggerating here. I literally ate like 2 or 3 meals a week. I'd just smoke all day, not be bothered to cook, get hungry at like 10pm and then run over the shop and spend a tenner on ****. Kind of amazed I'm not diabetic to be honest. Anyway, needless to say I'm feeling a lot better in myself, just gotta keep taking baby steps until I get to where I wanna be.

I'm gonna spend a few hours exploring the local area today. I've barely left the house since I moved here so it'll be good to get out and about. After that the plan's to chill out with some streams/films, cook myself a badboy curry and then hopefully get a good night's sleep. Onwards and upwards!

Really pleased with how I've been playing these past few days. I feel like I'm bringing my A game to the tables more and more and tilting less and less. Maybe sobriety has been the key to success all along! I'm also feeling so much better about life and in myself. I'm not reading into it too much because my moods change like the weather, but I'm pretty sure that 3 happy days in a row is a new record - I even caught myself singing in the shower earlier!

Here's some interesting spots from this morning's session. I won't post all the big losers like I have been because they were mostly just coolers (3x LP stackoffs with AK and A4s on ssx in 3b pot) aside from the 1st one below.

This was the only hand of the entire session I'm not happy with. Vs what I thought was a nit. At the time I only had like 40 hands on him and he was playing 8/4, but now it's 16/12 AF 4 so he's looking more reggy. Toughest call of the session vs unknown. Still not sure if it's good or not. I expect him to raise QT and sets OTF, along with most of his FD's. Turn puts me in a tough spot but he can have all the worse 2P's that take this line. Don't think 10nl guys take this line with FD's like ever. I doubt sets bomb river like this when everything gets there and seeing as I'd already discounted QT and FD's I made the crying call.

Had a good day at 10nl and finished up my 2nd session with $640 after I cashed in $50 RB. Took another shot at 16nl and dropped 5 BI's within half an hour lol. 16nl is by far the spewiest stake 2nl-50nl (haven't played any higher) and it's not even close. The regs station so hard and all the fish are maniacs so I'm gonna have to rethink my approach a bit. I honestly think that just never bluffing might be the best strategy, or at least the least tilting Probably gonna call it a day for today and then take another 5 BI shot in the morning.

                    BR: $576
