Hi everyone! I'm in my mid 20s, have a girlfriend and plan on spending a ton of time playing on ACR for the next year. At my current pace I should achieve General around mid September. I have been playing poker for roughly 3 years on and off. In the last 3 years I have won around ~15k usd but a good majority of that was on PPPoker when I was being staked for a 50% profit split with a friend. The other parts of my profit come from playing tournaments on ignition/acr. As of right now there is a big possibility that I am either break even, or barely winning in these games before VIP rewards/the beast, but I plan on doing my best to change that.

On to the plan. I started with a ~$1300 br, playing 25nl on 1/24/19, as of right now I am playing 25nl/50nl/100nl (short tables) I will be updating the thread with mainly session posts or maybe some graphs, and may start playing on ignition soon. As of right now I have played 93 hours, and won $350 including the beast, and achievement rewards, not including my 16k CP, or the $55 tournament ticket from the beast.

Played subpar for the last hour or so of my session, 2 misplays with JJ, one trying to go for thin value, and the other calling down after being raised on the flop. Lost a few important flips at 50nl, which hurts because 80% of my volume is 25 nl.
current balance : $1,535.33

Went to bed last night with a killer migraine, and when I woke it still was lingering, but it finally faded a few hours ago.

Poker goals for the future:

Play minimum 30k hands per week, preferably 50k+
Work on folding less in the blinds / and folding less to 3 bets.
Start 3betting more vs CO/BTN opens.
As of right now my blind play is horrid (-0.38)BB (-0.21) SB, folding to much to 3bets (78%), and only 3betting 5.6%

Life goals:

Spend most of Monday with the girlfriend since she has off work.
Stick to my time restricted eating plan of 12-7pm

balance: $1,557.15

First thing that sticks out to me is massive volume goal + gf usually doesn't go well in my anecdotal experience but I hope you are the exception. GL!

Thanks, she is awesome and usually very understanding.

Today might have been the worst day results wise in my time playing poker so far. As of right now I have dropped 100nl short tables, and will drop 50nl tables soon. Because of that I have added 10nl tables. Think I am down somewhere around 600 so far, lost a bunch of flips, a few KK to AA, and such. But I donated ~$70 with jack high because I misread the board. I tank called the river saying I should fold because my straight loses to KJ.

first session of the day:

Well that was an awful session, a lot of awful plays by me. At $600 I will be dropping from 25nl, but if I get down to 10nl as my main stake I will probably stop updating the thread. (so a few days maximum ) At the end of the session I was running out of NL tables to play, so I added some PLO tables, proceeded to lose about $170 in PLO.

New goal for the future: NO PLO

current balance: $734.15

Gutted, back to 10nl. After the weekly reset for the beast I may start updating again, but as of right now I just suck. I could cash in the CP points to boost the BR, but I am still trying to save them for General. Although if I can't breakeven at 25nl I won't be able to make General.

Dropped down to 2nl/5nl/10nl, playing mainly 2nl/5nl been having a rough time putting in volume, but have been working on my cbets, sizing and 3bet pots. Playing some tournaments, but I have been missing the good ones. Good news is that I hit Colonel for the first time ever. My goals before moving up to 10nl, and 25nl later are to win at 2bb/100 over 50k samples.

Typically people don't try to put in the volume you are attempting until they are proven winners at a stake while they are mass multitabling. Maybe cut tables, study a bunch, establish a winrate and expand from there? This doesn't seem to be working

GL man. I've probably played the same tables as you. ACR is a tough go. I don't recommend playing more than 6 tables and definitely don't play PLO and NLHE at the same time.

See you at the tables!

Yea, this was similar to the advice my friend gave me. I dropped from 18 to generally 12 or less. Once I dropped from 25nl I read through all of the grinders manual in the following two days, been going back and forth in there which I think is helping my winrate so far. My biggest leak by far is calling to many raises postflop, where people in 25nl/50nl are super nutted. Since I dropped up almost doubled my cbet%, mainly betting 1/3rd pot as my standard sizing, which is helping tremendously in 3bps.

Best of luck to you & thanks! Not sure if I will be back at 50nl soon, once I get back to 25nl I'm going to be a bankroll nit and grind the beast for a few months.(hopefully)

Yea, we have played at the tables together, but I don't think recently, or not much. I always liked playing PLO, but as you said mixing them is horrible. And I haven't studied PLO at all. GL to you too, I read through your blog earlier today.

Been mixing in the MOSS tournaments, but running super bad in them. Overall my tournament grind has been breakeven thanks to a 2nd place(non MOSS), and a few final tables. One thing I have realized is I wasn't being anywhere near aggressive as I should have been at 25nl. Almost winning at 2nl, and doing pretty good in 5nl.

Its not all that bad, $305 a week for playing 25nl and breaking even, if I pushed more volume I could probably hit the 1k tier, but not sure. I love grinding in literally anything I do.

Today was an eventful day, was getting donated stacks left and right. Since the bankroll is over 400 again I might start taking shots at 10nl, but undecided right now.

Some hands

value shove

vs tight player who probably doesn't call sets, and generally they bet 70%+ with value otr

losing the min vs a nit? maybe fold river, or just fold flop?

same tight player from hand 2

reg who never checks strong

stack donation

bankroll management blahblahblah but doesn't it seem a bit ridiculous to play $25 tables when you have over $1,000 dedicated to poker? go a bit bigger and try to run it up at .5/1. i know thats aggressive but even .25/.5 you have over 20 buy ins. what does $25 mean when you have a thousand. get the juices flowing with higher stakes. there is no worst case scenario if youre up 16k. the only way you get that to 60k is with a little risk.

**** nevermind, i kept reading. good on your for going for it with aggressive stake selection. the shame would have been not trying at all. it seems you have the right mindset for moving on and rebuilding. THAT is what bankroll management is for, the comeback.

Personally I make worse decisions when I'm playing with 20 or so buy-ins, something I've noticed over the last few years, I start playing even nittier?, and I wouldn't be running half of the bluffs I am now.

Playing a low amount of tables for me makes me tilt, and play horribly. I would be totally **** at live poker, playing so few hands per hour would kill me.

And lastly I suck at short stacking, I make horrible decisions when short stacking in cash. but thanks for all the comments and such.

Might be done playing for today, but not really sure. I was going to withdraw my full roll today to redeposit for the bonus, but it was taking a lot longer than expected, so I canceled the withdrawal and will do it later tonight when I decide I'm done for tonight. I'm running super good right now, most spots I get into are playing themselves. But I feel like I'm doing better than previously. Also stopped playing 2nl and started adding 10nl tables.

Thanks, you too!

Will be taking most of the day off, or maybe all of it. If I play later tonight I will update otherwise most likely tomorrow. Won an extra $80 yesterday ($20 from the $5.50 $10k) so I will get an extra ~$40 in bonus when I redeposit. Have a great day everyone!

OP, it's unlikely you would know if you saw me at the tables since my SN's aren't the same.

Always fun to sunrun though. . That 88 hand would have tilted me a bit, then again, I wouldn't flat as the CO, either.
