when i was 75k deep, same. But once i started stacking tables and i saw the difference it made in my play and stuff, i thought i was like mayyybe even money to clear.

I've obv ran pretty decent over the last month and definitely wouldn't have cleared without holding deep when it mattered as much as i have this month.

I have to admit I didn't know much about you, and felt it was going to be really hard for anyone to clear that kind of make up, especially when things kept going south for you, but seeing you come out of it has been awesome.

Pre-flop and post flop play for effective stacks of 35bb and less. I think in general it would be best for a cash player to transition to practicing with turbo mtts and 180's and learning how to play those well, learn shove ranges and re-shove ranges and calling ranges and learn icm theory. After doing this, then work on normal mtt play. I believe that the hardest poker to play well and adjust to is 20-40bb tournament poker, as there are so many tiny adjustments that need to be made due to many many factors (learning basic tourney play and icm theory will help immensely with this). 50bb+ cash game poker is like playing chess, 20-40bb tourney poker is like playing chess but the board shifts constantly. They both require loads of skill, and cash game has a significant amount less luck involved, but they are pretty comparable as far as difficulty of play is concerned.

2+2 has been my main resource for getting better. (meeting people from here, discussing thousands of hands with other players has helped immensely)

Doing the above, and playing volume, and possibly hiring a good coach should turn you into a very good MTT player.

what's the plan if you bink off a couple 20k+ months on the new stake? any plan to go on your own? what about when your time in canada is up, where will you go next? sorry if you've already addressed it.

For me to go on my own, from where im at now i'd have to profit like 100k for myself over the next year. Would end up being like 70k post taxes, 50k after next years living expenses and stuff, so i'd have like a 30k poker roll and 20k for living expenses for another year.

Post canada we are relaxing in wisconsin for a few weeks (i'll live grind 3-5nlhe there a bit to get back into live mind set). Late may we are going to drive to vegas. After 2 months in vegas im coming back up north for a wedding quick, then heading to cabo/cancun/puerta Vallarta for around 3 months. After that....who knows.

I'm currently in the difficult process of trying to find a good place to rent for june and july in vegas. Hoping i can find something soon, really don't want to stay in a hotel for 1-2 months >.<
