I think I can answer this one.
I would recommend you to check out Snowie. Not to play exactly like Snowie, but to just know what a GTO approach to certain situations would be. In general, when you are playing against a huge fish, you can throw game theory out the window and just play very exploitative instead. But I think it is important to be aware of it, when you are doing something that isn't GTO, and to know why you are choosing a different approach. At your stakes, people will generally be so bad that you can get away with alot of good plays that Snowie wont suggest, so take it with a grain of salt, but you wanna know how Snowie would play the spots for sure. I am almost certain that as a 10NL / 20NL reg your major leaks will be, that you are checking in spots where you should be betting, and betting in spots where you should be checking - Snowie is gonna help you with that ALOT. - gl at the tables

Re: PokerSnowie student on the road for NL1000 ipoker

Hello again guys,

It's been a while (6months?) since my last post and first of all I wish you all to have a nice poker year with lot of profits at the tables.

For one more time I quit the forum and my challenge in order to play live cash games. Of course this is not a serious excuse but it's the reality, and to be totally honest I didn't feel right to update witout any online volume. Why to call it an ''update'' anyway?

Ok so my situation briefly...

Last 3 months
I spent them on London, playing 1/3 and 2/5 at some casinos. We rent a house with one friend and we was just grinding all day. Results was decent but it could have been a lot better. You see, variance hit me last month so I lost almost half of my profits...

Now what?
Well at the present time I relocated into Athens and I intend to get back to the online games 100%. Before few weeks I rent a new appartment, but the good news are that I will not play online from home. I moved my pc into an office with 2 other grinders, so I hope the more ''professional'' enviroment will help me. Take a look...

Online update
So to begin with...Ipoker is officially the stupidest poker network out there. I cannot believe how greedy and poker clueless they are. They had a great chance, to gain a huge part from pokerstars traffic when Stars changed the VIP system and they do what?

They increase the actual rake indirectly making the games almost unbeatable pre rb !!
(Take a look here for more details http://www.pokernews.com/news/2016/0...hike-23883.htm )

After these changes I ve finally decided to play only in some soft poker networks. I know it wont be nice for my challenge and Snowie's strategy but at the end I know how to adjust to softer fields, I know that I can win more money in softer sites and achieving a big winrate is more important than playing Snowie's style...so bumhunting is working for me right now.

Also my friends at the office suggested me to add an ''mtt day'' into my weekly schedule. You see, they are both mtt players and they both believe that I won't be able to win playing with shorter stacks...let's hope to prove them wrong

This is it for now. I ll have an another post into the weekend where I ll post my online results for this year, bankroll status, short and longterm goals etc. Have a nice evening...

I wouldn't like to ''advertise'' any sites in here because last time I received complaigns via pm from some members, saying that I m trying to promote sites for personal benefit. You can add me on skype or sent me pm if you need any info.

Just to be clear, I m not affiliate of any site. The only purpose of this thread is to motivate myself and to share thoughts with other players. So if anyone need infos about the sites I m playing please pm me.

Sorry for delayed answer. I agree 100% with what NOMOREMARIA said. I wouldn't recommend Snowie's strategy for any limit below NL50. The problem is that the assumptions of Snowie are very far away from the average field in those stakes. So you ll end be leaving a ton of $ at the tables. But on the other hand you could use Snowie to analyze you hands, and see your blunders.

Blunders are huge -EV mistakes, and normally it will be -EV moves in every stake.

Re: PokerSnowie student on the road for NL1000 ipoker

Hello again,

It's time to share with you my result for this year. Obviously my volume is not great but playing on smaller networks and bumhuntuning aren't helping volume. In overall I run really well, results are decent but I am not happy with my game. I made some huge mistakes and now it's clear to me that I need more time to adjust again to online games.

Stakes and gragh

Hands 27k
Starting Bankroll 3000$
Current Bankroll 5664$
Withdrawls 0$

I had the ''mtt'' day on sunday which was slightly losing. I ll update later about it.

Also I started using again pio solver. I bought it before 6 months but I have to admit that I haven't trained with that seriously yet. So I think that it would be interesting to compare some of pio solver solutions with Snowie's results!

I m looking to have a post or thread about it, analyzing a hand I played with both softwares and see the results.

Your error rate is impressive. Getting the "ET" rating over large sample sizes is amazing, and would probably make you a very tough opponent for players at higher stakes, so I'm very interested to see if playing this way will enable you to build up a bankroll.
We can now see Poker Engineer became a winner.

Where did this guy go?

I like this guy and I like this thread.

Someone go out and get the fellow and bring him back here!
