The big question, of course, is where Dinosaur Kingdom 1 is, or whether this guys was an "artist type" who just decided to call the first one Dinosaur Kingdom 2. How did you find out about this place, and where do you hear of the other offbeat places you visit?

Any chance you make Miso into your version of Cosmo the cat ala Brad Owen's vlogs? Pets and youtube, after all.......

Glad to hear you're playing more aggressive. Don't focus on what you refer to as the "rollercoaster." It's just your former nittier self trying to rear it's head. Chips come, chips go - don't let it affect your thinking or play.

In terms of the hand histories, sizing was by no means bad on the second hand. No chance he had aces. I'm not calling on the third hand in your shoes when facing that size all-in bet, regardless of the player. I'd probably do so with 10-10 or above for that amount. For your holding, I'd call if the pot was closer to $50. Well played on hand 4. On hand 5, checking in the BB is okay. I'd have raised if in the SB, button, or hijack. For sure it was good to bet all three streets.

It's apparent from your HHs that you're getting more absorbed into the game, probably via your practice and coaching. Good to see.

Your coach is correct about following the action at the table. I purposely only bring my work phone to the casino which has just email and phone, so I just focus on watching the action and putting myself in both players' shoes.

Hey Rizz!
So Dinosaur Kingdom 1 burned down after only being opened a short time. We heard about this place because we were trying to figure out what had happened to this place called "FoamHenge" that he had made and had closed down (it's been moved to a kind of touristy farm and will be open again to the public in 2018) and just came across Dinosaur Kingdom II.

As you can tell, I love these quirky kinds of places and spend a considerable amount of time searching them out. We take a lot of day trips around Virginia, often going to historical sites, but before we do, I usually do a little research and try to find these weird roadside attractions that might be on the way. I just love that stuff. Enough that I've even been considering starting a second YT channel that would feature those kinds of places.

I'm way behind on Brad's vlogs. I'll have to catch up so I can see what you're talking about with Cosmo. I remember seeing the cat in his early vlogs but does he do something special with the cat in more recent ones? I'll check it out.

You're so right about my former "nittier" self rearing it's ugly head! You just nailed it! I can totally sense myself wanting to revert back into those bad habits and have to make a conscious effort to stop myself. Old habits die hard, I guess.

Good for you for paying attention at the tables. I'm still struggling with it. I'm getting better but it's still a challenge.

Thanks so much, buddy. Always so great to hear from you!

Probably within the last dozen or so of Brad's vlogs he's put Cosmo pretty front and center during his intros. Pets are youtube gold!

I actually turn paying attention at the table into a mini-game in and of itself. What I do is take a stack of 20 reds and divide them into two stacks of 10. I follow the hands I'm not in, and when one gets to showdown I decide if I surmised the hand more correctly than incorrectly.

If I was more correct than not in my read of what the players had, I move a chip from the left stack to the right stack, while if I was more incorrect than not I move one from the right stack to the left stack. If all chips from the left stack go into the right stack before the session is over, I "win", although that's pretty rare. Usually what happens is I end up with more on the right than left, which is still a positive result. Try it - I think it will help if you pay more attention if you make a game of it like this.

This is an awesome idea! Definitely going to try this at my next session. Thanks!

Wow - fast turnaround. Nice to see, and good for you on finally doing an overnight trip with several sessions.

Not a fan of the QdQh hand. Your c bet should be bigger. Yes, they probably have an ace but don't forget that they have to wonder if your kicker is better or you have a set. Then you compounded things on the turn. That was too much level one thinking. Live and learn.

My advice is when you stay overnight, don't use that as an excuse to play until all hours. I usually go to sleep by 11PM, and go back to the poker room by 5AM or 6AM and take advantage of the zombie overnighters.

The goals of staying overnight are to be able to not have to drive to and from the casino the same day and of course to get more time at the tables while being able to not feel rushed into playing too many hands due to the need to get back in the car to make it home the same day. But be sure to pick and choose the times to play that work best for you and that maximize profit. Take more breaks. Stretch your legs more.

Cool hotel too - clean, modern, neat, and close to the poker room. Can't ask for more than that.

This is the first vlog of yours I watched. I can't say I liked how you played any of the hands but this line at 6:55 really had me scratching my head: "I bet $15 representing the spade flush."

Tony for you next vlog try to avoid saying "wind up". You must have said it 20 times in this one. These verbal tics are hard to avoid but it's worth the effort.

Sorry for not being clear about what I meant. I didn't have a problem with the verbiage but rather your thinking behind it. For 1, $15 doesn't actually rep a flush. For 2, even if it did you can't reasonably expect other players to fold better than top pair for $15, and for 3, we actually have a hand with good showdown value so why would we be trying to represent a flush?

Off the top of my head the other things I didn't like was overlimping KJ on the button (that should be a raise) and chasing gutshots where you won't get paid if you hit (ie if you bink there is a 4 card straight on the board). Oh yeah, I just remembered that your bet on the QJ hand was weird too. I feel like you are clicking buttons a bit and aren't betting for the right reasons. When you have a hand with showdown value you should mostly be betting for value, not as a bluff.

I have realized I'm betting more as a bluff instead of value. Part of what I'm working on. I do appreciate the criticism.... only way I'll learn. Def working on what /when to bet .

Enjoying the steady stream of vlogs, and as usual the real life stuff is a treat.

Tough break on the downswing, but it happens. The life coach stuff is not my cup of tea, but I'm glad it seems to be a net positive for you.

I agree that you should've checked the river on your first HH hand. Second hand you have to check the river - villain either has air (busted flush draw), or trip kinds, or an ace. Sure, maybe he checks back, but if he has air he might take a stab, and if he has trips kings he bets. The reality is based on the way he played the hand he probably would've just checked back.

Brutal third hand and other run bad. I've been there - we've all been there.

It's quite likely that you misplayed every single hand in that video but the first hand is the one I want to focus my criticism on. I can't imagine there is anyone else in these forums that would have called with J8o in that spot on the KQ3r board.

I think I counted 13 "wind up" or "wound up" in 10 minutes.

Also I almost had to stop it at "obviously I'm calling" with QQ. Why aren't you "obviously raising"?

I didn't make it to the qq hand due to the countless wind ups in under 5 minutes

Yes yes... I did say Wind up /wound up again toooo many times. As far as who would or wouldn't call something. Sometimes u take chances aka gamble. I do appreciate the criticism. Only way I'll get better is to get criticized. Thanks for checking the Vlog out .... Promise Episode 10 is awesome for me anyway.

It was just funny because I had just told you that you shouldn't be chasing gutshots that put 4 cards to the straight on board and yet here you chased a backdoor one. You binked the ten ball on the turn yet still just have jack high and are often drawing to a chop.
