Ive got some unique challenges for vlogging in Australia, as using any kind of device for any reason at the tables is more or less prohibited. The trick for me will be to work out how to keep the content interesting despite not having table footage to work with.

Talking at a camera is also quite a strange experience when you're not used to it...

Anyway please check out my second episode which I just dropped this morning, let me know what you think!

Very true re talking into the camera Mike - I found myself putting on some weird voice (like a cross between a bad talk show host and an overly excited documentary narrator) in the first few attempts, and was like wtf am I doing? Still coming to terms with that.

Great vlogs dude, maybe some more shots of the wider Brisbane area/cool local spots would be interesting as most vlogs I've seen are US based.

Not a first-time vlogger, but his first shot at including poker HA into his vlog. Yes, you will have to watch (or skip through) about 5 minutes of Settlers of Katan before the Poker arrives. He is fishing for comments as he is not sure the effort of assembling a poker hand analysis is really worth it. I'll leave it up to you on what feedback you would like to leave.

Also yay my little vlog post made page 2. It is catching on with a few regulars and I'm seeing some vloggers I haven't seen which is really great! Just what I was hoping for. Thanks for posting y'all!

Baller on a Budget indeed. This guy is really great. Does not push out a video terribly often, but they are always really well done.

New vlog #4 is up. Having fun with it but still rookie af. Still not totally happy with the quality of the vids I'm getting; thinking I'll try to incorporate more GoPro use in future vids.

Anyway, check it out if you like - thank you in advance if you do! Any and all feedback appreciated.

Pokermonk - Good addition to the series. I like that walk down the mountain trail, very nice. Also good to see I think you are improving consistency in your focal length to subject for your talking head shots.

Also your hand analysis was a good reminder that, at the low stakes level the 3bet is an unusual occurrence. A lot of poker analysis is done on the 5-5, 5-10 and up level where this is a bit more normal, but you are right and this is the reasons analysis at different levels is so important because a lot of people play at this level and not at those higher levels. A lot of people need help with where they are, not where they might be some day.

If anything, I would put a few more hands in! But of course I enjoy the nature shots, etc.

Solid output, and kudos again to sticking with the Tuesday promise. Not sure where I stand on the hand analysis - I think what you have should suffice. After all, $1/$2 strat talk probably isn't something viewers are thirsting for. What I actually like more is when you talk about the other types of players and situations you encounter at the table.

No weigh in this week? I thought that would happen in each vlog, no? Also, why only walk down from work? Need motivation? How about picturing a bottle of chartreuse beard dye - just sayin.......

The Pokertube interview was nice to see as well. Probably your next step is to try and set up cross-promotion with other vloggers if indeed you go on a road trip to Vegas or out West.

I totally forgot to do a weigh-in! I'll definitely put one in the next episode.

Would love to do some collaboration with other vloggers. Hopefully I'll be able to get out West someday soon and set something up.

I think walking up the mountain would kill me. But seriously, the problem is getting sweaty before work. I'm wearing a suit and being all gross and sweaty and having to show people around the house. Isn't really anyplace to clean up before my shift once I'm at the top of the mountain. Plus walking uphill sucks.

Thanks!
Saying people need help with where they are, not where they might be someday I think is spot on. 1/2 is very different in a lot of respects and hope people are finding some value in my perspective.

Thanks! Glad you're enjoying it. Hope to put even more poker content in the vlog in the future. Trying to find a balance between the poker content and the lifestyle content.

Thanks for starting this thread and for also including info on all the other vloggers. Absolutely great idea. And I absolutely agree with you that this should be a no-Trooper zone.

This was by far my favorite vlog of yours, Robert. After watching it, I went back and watched one of your early vlogs again, the one where you discussed your anxiety disorder and your first meeting with your new therapist. What a difference a few months makes! Your physical appearance has improved, you're in a much better emotional state of mind, and your technical expertise with respect to editing and producing vlogs has increased exponentially. Well done, sir!

With respect to your question about hand histories, I suppose I'm in the minority in that I'm not that interested in them. I watch your vlogs to see how your life is progressing, to see the gorgeous scenery of Charlottesville and the surrounding Virginia area, and of course, to see shots of various casinos with a little bit of poker thrown in. Speaking of which, I think you have the perfect amount now; i.e., one or two hands just to give a taste of how your session went.

With your personality and life story, you've become one of my favorite vloggers, along with Pokerkraut. It's interesting to me that my two favorite vloggers are the ones with the least amount of hand histories and have the fewest YouTube subscribers. Hopefully, that will change in the near future.
