Tonight we took our shot at 100NL! Even after the horrific last session being down $275 we still had $1800 which was the goal for shot take. $1500 was our stop loss. We ran really crummy in some high equity spots but still managed to end the session up $587 for 5.8 buyins! There were some HUGE whales on the tables tonight but they ran so damn good against me. Most my money tonight came from the regs lol. Here are a couple of the hands the whales pulled on me.

iPoker - $1 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 4 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

SB: 173.51 BB (VPIP: 44.00, PFR: 8.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 25)
Hero (BB): 99.5 BB
CO: 59.5 BB (VPIP: 18.75, PFR: 18.75, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 16)
BTN: 100.97 BB (VPIP: 66.67, PFR: 22.22, 3Bet Preflop: 25.00, Hands: 9)

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has J J

CO raises to 3 BB, BTN raises to 5 BB, fold, Hero calls 4 BB, CO calls 2 BB

Flop: (15.5 BB, 3 players) T 7 5
Hero checks, CO bets 9 BB, BTN calls 9 BB, Hero calls 9 BB

Turn: (42.5 BB, 3 players) 3
Hero checks, CO checks, BTN bets 86.97 BB, Hero calls 85.5 BB, fold

River: (213.5 BB, 2 players) K

Hero mucks J J (One Pair, Jacks)
(Pre 57%, Flop 75%, Turn 86%)
BTN shows A K (One Pair, Kings)
(Pre 43%, Flop 25%, Turn 14%)
BTN wins 211.97 BB

I know it seems super weird to just flat the JJ here but i did not want the whale going anywhere. Obv exploitative play

iPoker - $1 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players

SB shows 8 5 (Three of a Kind, Fives)
(Pre 16%, Flop 20%, Turn 95%)
Hero mucks J J (Two Pair, Jacks and Fives)
(Pre 84%, Flop 80%, Turn 5%)
SB wins 228.27 BB

Pretty ****in crazy this particular whale was. I ended up taking the stack back from him but then he surmounted a $450 stack by hitting a 2 outter after getting all in on the turn with 33 for 200bbs. Crazy. Unfortunently we couldn't pick up a hand and someone stacked him twice and he was bust and left. All in all obv a good winning session but man it got ruff at times. I'm out won't be on tomorrow because i'm seeing my girl. GL and GN

subbed! Currently grinding ignition as well. Im about to start taking shots at 100 NL. Do you only play regular 6 max tables or a mix of zone and regular 6 max?

Thanks brotha! I started off playing zone tables but then i thought about it and couldn't make sense of the decision. Obv you see more hands but 2 zone tables ruffly equates to ~8 reg speed tables and since i run 6(half iggy half global) i don't lose out too much. Plus fish are incentived to play tighter in zone since they can get to the next hand quickly. Poker is mainly still good while players are still exploitable so why would you play a game variant that limits your ability to exploit? AKA huds, notes, donks playing ******ly wide ranges. Also seeing THAT many hands in a tight pool at 50nl feels like a rake trap. Plus reg tables feels more like actual poker to me and i enjoy it more. But to each his own! GL to you lemme know how your shot goes!

Well gents we have hopefully reached the end of our time in the 50NL streets. So here is the overall graph of 50NL over 28k hands. This does not include global, which is sad because it would look immensely better if it did! oh well...

This next graph is of our 100NL shot yesterday. Again no global which is where we made the majority of our money.

Here is an overall graph of last week(no global)

Here is an overall since we started(No global)

Lastly our overall results by position(That rake though)

That is the weekly update! Man it bugs me i can't track global. I mean i know that i can but it's against TOS and it's not worth the risk. Profit of $1002 on global in case you were wondering. I'm off to play some tennis with the babe. Peace!

I have similar feelings as you when it comes to zone. I like how you can play more hands but I prefer to play against the same opponents and have reads against my opponents rather than play against complete unknowns every hand. I'll prob just stick to regular 6 max tables. Plus I havent seen a 100 nl zone game run on ignition for a while.

2 hour or so session tonight. Ruff session ran horrific in several spots. Started the session off AKss into AA. Then lost AK into AK. Got 56dd in on 235dd AI on the flop and lost to AKss. Just dumb **** like that. Also made some great call downs to end the night down only 2 buy-ins. I'll take it considering that could have easily been a 5-6 buy in down day. Running ~5 BI under EV so far in 100nl but still up about 4 BI's so not bad! I may or may not be playing tomorrow depending on if i see my girl.

I'm wondering how hard it would be to transition to 9-max. Only reason i ask is because obviously the games aren't as good during the day. My thinking is maybe i play 9-max during the day whilst maybe table selecting only the best 6-max tables and then play exclusively 6-max at night. I find the 9-max to have a higher flops seen percent. Maybe this is just standard because there are more players and not necessarily a sign that the games are weaker? I'd think it would be harder to transition from 9-max to 6-max than from 6-max to 9-max. Just play tighter opening ranges right? Would there be any harm that would come from this? Would 9-max weaken my game or be hard to transition back and forth from? What are your thoughts? Thanks!

Disastrous day for us. We were down 4 BI and then made a comeback to up a buy-in and then went on to be pummled. Overall down 9 BI and will be forced to resort back to 50NL. Feeling depressed, defeated, and incapable. GN and GL

Been a ruff week. We were up $900 at one point in 100nl and then ended up down ~$300. Played a few days of tourneys for about $300 each time and only cashed a few tournies. Now it's back to 50NL with about ~25ish buyins. Gotta rebuild and try again! Lets get it!

Two 1 hour sessions today. Made $32 first session and $137 the second for a total of $169 on the day. Gotta rebuild so we can tackle 100nl again! Started 8 tabling and i'm liking the pace. I've tightened my ranges up a bit which i think i need to be doing at 50nl anyways. Think i'm seeing my girl tonight but if not than i'll be back on for another sesh tonight. GL & GN!

Also i finished my book "The art of Learning". I highly recommend this book for anyone who is competitive regardless of the arena. The book gives some great insights into optimal performance! I also started on a new book. This one is based on a true story of a man who grew up in Nigeria in a strict Muslim area. He tells his story about how he become a christian. It is very interesting to learn what it is like to grow up in a Muslim extremist family and makes you grateful for the amazing freedom we all take for granted. Cheers!

Played a few 8-table sessions today for a total of about 3 hours between them. Up ~$180. Gonna continuing grinding and studying until we can take that 100nl shot again and hopefully tear through this time around.

Went out and got some lunch and then dinner with the parents who are in town for little sisters wedding stuff. Came home and crushed an hour long 8-table session for about $110 in profit. Got QQ in twice towards the end of the session against KK and AKo and lost both flips. RIP But still a profitable day nontheless! Aight gents GN and GL

Crazy day today! Started the session off not in a good place. I really should have done some meditation or something before i started. Had a couple bad beats and then starting spewing hard. When all was said and done about an hour later i was down $270. It really hurt that i let that happen to me. But i did take a break and sulked in my misery. Took a few hours and finished my book. Came back in the evening and banged out a +7BI session over 1.5 hours! Felt really good to make it back. Though i spewed and i'm not happy about that i am really proud that i left the table and went to do something else because i knew i was not in the right state of mind for poker. When i came back i was refreshed and crushed.

It can be so hard to look at poker in the big picture sense but it is so important we question why we are feeling the way we are feeling and what we can do to mitigate that. Anyhow i'm looking for a new book to read so if anyone has any suggestions i am open to it! Thanks!

What a ****in ****ty session this last one has been. Ive been 3 outted in 50-100BB pots 5 times just in this second session of the day all in on turns. Maintained my wits which i am proud about but unfortunately have to leave to see my girl despite having such juicy donkeys on my tables ;( So this sessions we are down $139 and $40 on the day. I'm actually quite proud of that though considering how we ran. GN and GL!

Reason is that as you get later in position your ranges get wider because of positional advantage so you should be playing more hands. You'll see in ep to B my hands played get more and more. Then in SB and BB i have a little more hand played because you are getting a better price to play so again your range is a bit wider.m

Today was a ****ing disaster. Got on for my first session and ran fairly well which for this week was a nice change of pace. Made a quick 3 buy-ins. BUT then at my night session i ran probably worse than i ever have and lost 8 buy-ins butting us at down 5 buy-ins on the day. This whole week has been a ****ing disaster. I'm running 10 buy-ins under EV this week alone and 14 under EV over the first 53k hands. FML

Here is the graph of this last week:

I've put in about 4k hands since my last post and only up about $68 which i suppose is better than being down but it's been ruff. I feel like i must have a lot of leaks to be struggling this much and im wondering if i should just bite the bullet and buy a few coaching sessions. It would hurt the role a bit but probably would ultimately be best. GN and GL

Well guys i think i'm going to throw in the towel for awhile. My body simply can't handle the stress of it. I have a genetic liver problem and it doesn't detox my body and one of my triggers is stress. I love poker and i love the game and all the challenges that go with it but for now i'm going to have to take a break while i try to figure out a way to manage my liver condition. I've cashed out all my funds. Maybe i'll go play some live poker sometime and if i do i'll let you know. It's been fun and it's been grueling.

Here is my final graph after 55k hands (not good and not what i was hoping for but feeling sick made it very hard to stay focused and motivated.)

I don't know if anyone was even following this forum but if you were, thanks. Until next time gents...GL and GN
