That's the trick? I'm hovering 4% ROI in spins. Do you fold A8o pre HU in 20-40 blinds as 850/650 chipleader once 'tight regfish' open shoves?

Of course you do. The tight regfish open shoves pairs + AJo+ because that's his only option to win because my HU so good he's icing away like an ice cube on a [physical] heater

Honestly, tho'. Yo! What's up? Wanna collab? I'm a programmer specialized in web scraping as my dayjob and I can 1)make you any custom pop analysis you wanna, just let me know your desire$ 2)volume grind the strategy.

Hey man, pretty impressive consistency. Would you mind sharing some details like: Graph of the day, some hands, some concepts you apply during each game ... i think would be awesome to know more about yourself and def. would make more people engage in the thread.

Cheers, good work.

I like that one too, so I would like to present to you the highest and lowest EV hand of the day. Would be interesting. BUT I need to ask if I am allowed to share hands.

I am definitely not allowed to share concepts, this one I can't add.

Hello everyone,

I reviewed yesterdays game and I am fine with my play I just run into bad runouts...

I will now post a few hands were I lost the most EV and I will comment them, if i could have done sth better and so on, also feel free to give your oppinion to the hands.

But if we start a discussion, I hope that everybody will stay as objective as possible and argue just with good arguments based on ranges, opponent types, stack sizes, position and so on.

Lets Start:

Hand #1

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, 25 Tournament, 20/40 Blinds (2 Spieler) - PokerStars Converter Tool from http://de.flopturnriver.com

SB (t756)
Hero (BB) (t744)

Preflop: Hero ist BB mit K, 8
SB calls t20, Hero raises to t120, SB calls t80

Flop: (t240) 8, 3, 9 (2 Spieler)
Hero checks, SB checks

Turn: (t240) 2 (2 Spieler)
Hero bets t144, SB calls t144

River: (t528) 4 (2 Spieler)
Hero checks, SB bets t280, Hero calls t280

Gesamt Pot: t1,088

Spoiler:

SB hat Q, 7 (flush, Queen high).
Hero didn't show K, 8 (one pair, eights).
Ergebnis: SB gewinnt t1,088

Opponent:

-Preflop he mainly limps and some openjams and very little open raises.

- He also limp raises.

- He is on the aggressive side postflop, donkbets and raises frequently.

Preflop:

- Against an opponent like this, I should have checked instead of isolating.

Flop:

- Check is totally fine here. This board hits my opponents range pretty well and I really don't want to see a raise here. So X/C is good, but he decided to check behind anyway.

Turn:

- I assumed an aggressive opponent would bet almost any TP or better hand. a lot of fds and straight draws.

- This means he is on a pretty weak check-back range which includes hand like 2ndP (that I block), very little weak pairs some OCs some weak FDs & GTSDs.

- Therfore I decided to bet for value and I do like that.

River:

- I decided to check on the river, because I believe his main part of his range a re no made hands, fds oesd, gtsd, ocs, so I wouldn't get any value from those by betting and also the few weaker made hands that I beat wouldn't really call a bet either.

- Additionally my opponent is rather agrressive so I decided to bluff catch.

- But he was trapping me and I run into a flush

- But doesn't matter I'm fine with that play.

Hand #2

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, 25 Tournament, 10/20 Blinds (3 Spieler) - PokerStars Converter Tool from http://de.flopturnriver.com/

BB (t500)
Button (t520)
Hero (SB) (t480)

Preflop: Hero ist SB mit K, 10
1 fold, Hero raises to t60, BB calls t40

Flop: (t120) 10, 6, 6 (2 Spieler)
Hero checks, BB bets t30, Hero calls t30

Turn: (t180) 5 (2 Spieler)
Hero checks, BB bets t115, Hero raises to t390 (All-In), BB calls t275

River: (t960) K (2 Spieler, 1 all-in)

Gesamt Pot: t960

Spoiler:

Hero hat K, 10 (two pair, Kings and tens).
BB hat A, A (two pair, Aces and sixes).
Ergebnis: BB gewinnt t960

Opponent:

- pretty Unknown, but Probe/Float (4/5) so far

Preflop:

- missclick to 3x, but no problem.

Flop:

- I decided to check, because villain is very aggressive vs missed cbet so far.

- Not sure if I should have check/raised him, but I am not sure how his 3x defend range looks like and how many offsuited 6x he will call.

- So I am fine with the call.

Turn:

- He decides to 2nd barrel and I decided to get it in just because I beat all Tx besides (AT & T6), he shouldn't have (JJ+) he would 3bet them pre, he can have a lot of draws that want to let me fold. Only downside are 6x but I think its a fine value raise.

- But he slowplayed the AA and I fall into another trap!

Summary:

Like I said I am pretty fine with my game and those two hands had my biggest EV loss wiith over 400 chips.
But yeah thinks like that happen but I do believe that both play would be +EV in the long run.
That motivates me to grind and just hope for some better card distribution

Awesome hands and analysis. Looking forward to more posts like that.

About hand 2FLOP)whats your check/calling range here? whats your check raising range?
Dont you think its better to just bomb away 3 streets? Villain seems tricky, so im just considering other options readless.

@11lore11, thanks and I will try to post hands on Mo, Tue and Wed.

I mean with a hand strength like TP good Kicker you can definitely c-bet and barrel on good runouts. I also think KT can also be check-raised OTF.
There are a lot of options possible.
Actually I wouldn't check-raise much vs unknown here.
I would check-call weakest Tx, PP <Tx >6x, bckdr flush > 8, 2overs+bckdrs. and some gtsd+bckdrs.

What determines a a 10/10 sleep quality and is there anything you do differently to have 7/10 sleep vs 9/10 sleep or pure randomness?

@Masq, if I slept >6h without waking up and felt quickly into sleep and feel powerful in the morning then it's a 10/10.

Awesome thread man. I tried this game for the first time last night and it was really fun. Might make it the main focus of my grind. Do you have any suggestions for someone switching from 6 max cash to Spin N Gos? Right now I'm just using my 6 max strategy while looking at a push-fold chart.
Is Poker Still Beatable? Quote
06-11-2019 , 06:11 PM
@weirdmonkey, thank you and I agree those games are fun, action and thrill, which is also very interesting for recreational player.

My suggestion is to first think about your preflop game, it's very important.

I think using the same strategy in 6max and Spins will not work out. Stacks are way smaller and therefore hand-strength shifts alot.

And personal no matter what stakes you've played, just start with the smallest spins, to get used to it. And to be honest, if you want to take things seriously, just join a coaching program, it will definitely save you a lot of time for creating a winning strategy.

Hello everybody,

I worked mainly on theory today and just grinded 1h, so no need to post the graphs.

But I will post some hands:

Hand #1:

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, 25 Tournament, 20/40 Blinds (2 Spieler) - PokerStars Converter Tool from http://de.flopturnriver.com/

Hero (SB) (t813)
BB (t687)

Preflop: Hero ist SB mit J, A
Hero raises to t80, BB calls t40

Flop: (t160) 10, 2, K (2 Spieler)
BB checks, Hero checks

Turn: (t160) 8 (2 Spieler)
BB checks, Hero bets t96, BB calls t96

River: (t352) 3 (2 Spieler)
BB checks, Hero bets t211, BB raises to t511 (All-In), Hero folds

Total Pot: t774

BB muck

Opponent:
  • very aggressive overall
  • a lot of raises vs c-bet
  • very wide probe stat

Preflop:
  • Fine openraise.

Flop:
  • I like the check because of my very aggressive opponent and I really don't like to bet/fold that hand.

Turn:
  • He was probing 10/12 so far and this time he decided to check, so I assumed he is very weak. Therefore I was betting to put pressure on his weak part of his range. I like that play.

River:
  • I think a guy like this would probe almost any FD, therefore the third heart should scare him and to put max pressure on weak Tx, 2x and 8x and decided to 2nd abrrel bluff and I do like that.
Unfortunately he decided to raise and I had to fold

Hand #2

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, 25 Tournament, 20/40 Blinds (2 Spieler) - PokerStars Converter Tool from http://de.flopturnriver.com/Hand-Converter.php

SB (t600)
Hero (BB) (t900)

Preflop: Hero ist BB mit 8, K
SB calls t20, Hero checks

Flop: (t80) 8, 6, K (2 Spieler)
Hero checks, SB bets t40, Hero raises to t120, SB calls t80

Turn: (t320) 7 (2 Spieler)
Hero bets t160, SB calls t160

River: (t640) 10 (2 Spieler)
Hero checks, SB bets t280 (All-In), Hero folds

Total Pot: t640

SB muck

Opponent:
  • Unknown

Preflop:
  • No need to raise vs limp, nice check.

Flop:
  • I like raising vs his bet even if we block top 2 cards. The baord has some strong draw possibilities and I want to attack those now just because they only call flop and turn and fold if they miss on the river.

Turn:
  • The 7 completed some draws but also opened new one. He also may have improved to a weaker 2P. That's why I do like betting.

River:
  • That's a very bad river card and I doubt that I can value bet. So only option is to check/call and I think it's very close because I only need to win in 23% of the time but i still do like the check/fold.
