Hello everybody,

Felt pretty exhausted today, but decided to go for the grind, which wasnt a good idea, my concentration was on a low level and therefore I made plenty of small mistakes.
Working hard is good, but too hard isn't and the next time I will not grind and take off instead.

gl with your challenge. Gordons team is full of good coaches. I am sure you know what your doing. I never played much with spins but from the player pool I have played with a lot of them seem like recreational players. This is about as high variance as it gets. Enjoy the ride.

Hello everybody,

I am very satisfied with my grind today, good volume, concentration and focus. Especially that I stayed very calm no matter what and took breaks as soon as I got distracted. Therefore my mood and mind was very good and I was able to play my best game almost the whole session.

Here is the graph:

Hello everybody,

Update:

I finished my new plan and I think it worked out very well, of course there will be some changes if I use it in practice, but I did spent a lot of time scheduling everything in a useful way, so I think there shouldn't be a lot of changes.

I will follow this plan until the end of the challenge. A short summary is that I am going to work 6/7 days and rest 1 day. On my work days, I will do 2-3h theory work and 6-7h grind daily. Additionally I will walk with my dogs, do sports, eat healthy, meditate, track everything and update the challenge, these are my daily routines splitted into morning, afternoon and evening.

To messure everything properly I created a point system. I do want to reach 1005 points daily [1 point for every minute that I spent on reaching my goals], I will add this into "Info".

Summarized in Numbers:

1005 Points = 16.75h that I will spent in reaching my goals every work day.
360 Points = 6h that I will spent for sleep.
75 Points = 1.25h that I will spent for breaks.

This is a pretty tough plan, but to complete my challenge I think it is a must and I have to go on my limit. So I am pretty curious if I am able to stay strong and follow the plan.

I also wanted to start the grind on the €10 games today but unfortunately I had to increase my stake-limit from €5 to €10, because I restricted them to €5 games in the software and it will now take 24h to set it up. Therefore I will start the grind tomorrow at 18:35.

GLGL, just found this thread today. Looks like you have a good feel for these games! I recently started playing $10 Jackpot SNGs, the games are really soft. Are you happy with 11-13% ROI/what do you think is highest possible ROI for these SNGs? Also you planning on playing with 100-150 buyins for BRM?

My graph looks similar to yours @ around 350 games. I've implemented a limp only strategy in SB when folded to and I find it works really well, not sure if you've tried that.

Anyway, keep up the good work!

Edit: I know you've said you can't discuss strategy, but one thing I've thought of when playing passive recs is limping more HU with 8-12bb rather than solely having push/fold strat. Due to having HUGE edge postflop (my bb/100 when "saw flop" is like 65 haha). I've thought this could certainly lower variance, but still not entirely sure. Definitely player dependent, but any comment on that would be appreciated. Thanks

-Yes, definitely happy about the win rate, but to be honest I am only interested in my EV/ROI and and chip/EV, this could have been a little bit higher.
But I am fine with my performance so far, I am learning from my mistakes andI am improving steadily.

Quote:

- That's a nice BRM to grind without pressure. You always can be more agrgressive the higher your winrate is. But I wouldn't recomment beeing more aggrssive with your BRM, I think it is impoortant to grind a decent amount of tables each stake.

- Definitely can't go to deep into that. But why do you believe that you should play only push/fold HU 12-8bb? I think you should always choose the action that is highest EV.

Review:

On Suday I needed to adjust a few things, which took longer than I thought and therefore I was starting the grind very late. I played five 10€ games and it went very bad and I recognized also that I am not fully focused, so i decided to stop grinding and go for theory work.

On Monday I took my day off because I had some appointments.

The first day of testing my new play was today and I was pretty motivated to go for it. But it didn't worked out very well, which was disappointing at the beginning and my motivation went down. I was spending a lot of time for the new plan and I really thought it will work out very well, therefore my expectations were very high.
Therfore I decided to look why it went wrong and I realized that I needed way more time for buying food and cooking, then expected.
I need to simplify that, of course therfore my nutrition will suffer, but I will still find a healthy way and look for it after the challenge.

Grind was ok, but I immideately realized that this 10€ step is very bad, because you have one stakke lower the 5€ spins with 1M promotion and pne stake higher the 25€ spins with also 1M jackpot, which means a lot of recreational player will play those. Therefore the reg/recreational ratio is pretty bad.
Anyway I have to grind my way through this, no matter what and even if it wasn't the perfect start, I will believe in my preparations and follow the plan (unless nutrition) and just go for it.
