Hi everyone,

first of all I want to apologize for my English, as I am not a native speaker.

Some background:

I started playing poker years and years ago, but commonly it was my hobby, or even relaxation. As you probably understand all sessions were losing But I was sure that I was best of the best, just wasn't lucky enough)))
Then I hadn't played poker for like 2 years, and suddenly last year I decided that I want to become a pro in poker (Saw WSOP 1st place payment) You probably laughing now, but every pro in the beginning was losing player
So I started to read and watch whatever I can for free, read threads in forums etc. If you'll ask I registered in 2+2 forums just to read, no other communication Afterwords, I got few poker courses and ranges for small amount of money, that's when I understood that I know nothing about this fascinating game
Next step was online poker coaching, which was great, that is when I start earning something. (forgot to mention I am playing mostly MTT).
Last summer ended for me with about 7,5-8k in winnings, and as not disciplined player I became greedy, and lost something like 1k. Till the end of 2018 I lost about 1,5 but I can blame only myself (biggest leak in my game is my discipline).
Also I got full time job, sometimes play poker at work (will be bad if my boss also in this forum)
My level now in poker, as I understand it is something like 1.5 from 10. A lot work to do...

Goals for 2019:

Now I am posting this thread because wherever I read about poker game, community matters a lot... And here we have biggest and best poker community as I understand. I will try to gather my discipline by posting everyday my results, thought, hands etc.
Main goal for the year is to finish it in +EV with better understanding of the game, something like 3 or 4 from 10. Every month I will write sub goals to accomplish main goal.

January: Bankroll 100$

In February there will be Series on ACR (I can play only ACR, Betonline for next few month, then welcome PS, 888 and WSOP to PA). First day of MOSS will have 6 MTT in total buy-ins of about $210.

1) Boost Bankroll to $310
2) Discipline:
- MTT entries no more than 1% from BR
- Cash Games 50BI (commonly NL2 till $300 BR)
3) Minimum of 5 hours studying poker per week.
4) Minimum 10 MTT per day

Oh, and I want to ask your help on my trip to poker success. I am full newbie and want to learn as much as I can. Whoever will have opportunity and desire to write something I will really appreciate it...

Hi again,

today I want to write one more post about my results.
First thing first, discipline No play on work, after work training so only about 2 hours of play.
Played 2 MTT (More like SnG with late registration for like 20 minutes) and played 2 cash tables for 102 hands.

Ok, let's go through points:

1)Boost Bankroll to $310
- Cash games, 102 hands, $0.94
- MTT, 2 MTT, both was eliminated 2 seats before ITM, -$1.10
- Today total: -0.16$
- Month Total: -0.16$
2) Discipline
- Both MTT buy-ins were $0.55 each, so less than 1%
- Cash games NL2
3) Minimum of 5 hours studying poker per week.
- Today: 1 hour and 20 minutes
- Week total: 1 hour and 20 minutes
4)Played only 2 MTT

Tomorrow will try to get through the day with plus earnings and play more than 10 MTT.

Thanks for reading,
Good night and have a great grind.

Hi again,

It is my second day of blog...
Commonly there was nothing interesting for whole day, just me and poker...

Ohh, and my third in life Royal Flush

Now let's do some math:

1)Boost Bankroll to $310
- MTT, 20 MTT, 6 of them freeroll (no luck in that), few 1 places in SnG, few ITMs. So in the end +10.11$
- Today total: +10.11
- Month Total: +9.95
2) Discipline
- Few of MTT were a little bigger than 1% of BR 1.10$ BI other were $0.55 each, so less than 1%
- No cash games
3) Minimum of 5 hours studying poker per week.
- Today: 0 hour and 00 minutes
- Week total: 1 hour and 20 minutes
4)Played only 20 MTT

Commonly today was a not bad day!!! Could be better Will look tomorrow at my hands before the session. So 20 MTTs, 6 of them were freerolls, it was hard and I can see that in frerrolls I didn't give much efforts to play like I do it regularly, should work on this, even freerolls should be played as Main Event WSOP

Ok, from 14 else I made money in 6 of them, not bad I think... Long run will give the whole picture of how I am playing.

Thanks for reading,
Good night and have a great grind.

Hi

Today I've got a lot of lessons from my play!!!

First of all, I tried to play some PLO, nice game, but I need to look at least through basics of this game! Nevertheless I liked it, so will try it more.

Now I need to be honest with you, I play damn bad today. I lost 8$ in cash game. (Definitely will go through ranges and theory harder) I managed to turn that back by gambling, like after the session ACR gives you an opportunity to choose a black or red and return your loses and you should bet same amount, so I gambled and returned my 8$. In the end of the day my BR stay still, but my game is worst of the worst.

Reason behind bad play was mindset and tilt. Somewhere in the middle of the session where I was bad beated twice I lost it, start to play something like 45-55 VPIP 18-22 PFR (Great Whale) It is rear for me to lose control, but it happens. Can blame only myself!!!!

Tomorrow will be school day, after I get through some home stuff (you know the one that married people should do, cleaning, laundry etc.) So for tomorrow no game, only studying:

1) 6max Cash games (ranges, preflop and postflop play)
2) PLO theory and anything i would be able to find.
3) And mindset, how to deal with staff like I got tonight.

And of course revision of my goals:

1)Boost Bankroll to $310
- Cash games, 388 hands, -8.00$ gambling +8.00$
- MTT, 13 MTT, 5 ITM, one 1st place.
- Today total: +5.98$
- Month Total: +15.93$
- Bankroll:115.93$
2) Discipline
- MTT commonly same stuff as yesterday few 1.10$ few 0.55$ BI
- Cash games NL2
3) Minimum of 5 hours studying poker per week.
- Today: 1 hour and 40 minutes
- Week total: 3 hour and 00 minutes
4)Played only 13 MTT and two cash tables

Reason I am not broke with my BR is because I managed to organize myself and finish last tournaments decently. Three last tournament ITM, one final table.

Tomorrow only studying!!!!

Thanks for reading and good night

Day four of my poems about how I play and what I play.

Yesterday I didn't have an opportunity to study much, I was summoned by Boss to work, so just two hours of MTT strategies.

Today is my worst day so far, I lost almost everything I earned for the last couple days. Reason is to much re-entries and Rebuys.

I guess I have to add new rule to discipline. No more than 1 re-entry and double rebuy/1addon

Goals and stuff:

1)Boost Bankroll to $310
- Cash games 0
- MTT, 20 MTT, 10 were with BI, 4 out of 10 ITM, no final table.. In one MTT i Even got in to the money but with huge amount of re-entries i was broke.
- Today total: - 15.13$
- Month Total: +0.80$
- Bankroll:100.80$
2) Discipline
- MTT commonly same stuff as yesterday few 1.10$ few 0.55$ BI
- Lot of re-entries and rebuys for today
- No cash games
3) Minimum of 5 hours studying poker per week.
- Today: 0 hour and 00 minutes
- Week total: 0 hour and 00 minutes
4)Played only 20 MTT

Thanks,
and good night

Hey everybody.

I am feeling like variance didn't like me at all today. I already played 30 MTT, mostly it is 0.55$ late registration MTT with field like 40-60 people. Bad beated almost in every tournament. I will finish two MTTs that I am playing now (First step satellite and 1k GTD) and will take a break! Few hours or days... Commonly it is not my game now.

Two more lessons from today's play, no bluffing in Microstakes and I need to go through theory behind play on the Bubble. But I am pretty sure that it won't give me advice fold AA or KK with 10-12bb against loose players

Goals and stuff:

1)Boost Bankroll to $310
- Cash games 0
- 30 MTT
- Today total: - 10.83$
- Month Total: - 10.03$
- Bankroll: 89.97$
2) Discipline
- MTT two 1.10$ else 0.55$ BI
- No re-entry today
- No cash games
3) Minimum of 5 hours studying poker per week.
- Today: will study for 2 hour and 00 minutes
- Week total: 2 hour and 00 minutes
4) Played 30 MTT

Another day of poker. I like it.

Today I lost again a bunch of money, and there are a lot of stuff from today's session that I should learn. Starting with ranges, I mean preflop action with pocket cards, I missed a lot of value today because I misplayed my hands preflop. Especially I need to get better understanding of when I can shove and where I need just 4bet or limp call, or fold, etc.

Tomorrow I will take day off from poker, maybe in the end of the day I will try myself in cash NL2 for 200-500 hands, it will take max an hour or two if I will play 2 tables. I want to imply some material that I recently read. Oh and today I was out 2 seats before ITM in PLO, nicey-nicey more I play more understanding I get...

Also I downloaded bankroll manager on my phone so I could take notes and get info with more stats. So next time
I will add bb/100 for cash games and ROI for MTT for the period of this thread. Oh and I definitely need to start posting some hands where I need advice, if someone of course read this)

Goals and stuff:

1)Boost Bankroll to $310
- Cash games 0
- 14 MTT
- Today total: - 11.91$
- Month Total: - 21.94$
- Bankroll: 78.06$
2) Discipline
- MTT from 0.11$ to 1.10$
- Few tourneys I re-entered third time
- No cash games
3) Minimum of 5 hours studying poker per week.
- Today: will study for 1 hour and 15 minutes
- Week total: 3 hour and 15 minutes
4) Played 14 MTT

Thanks for reading...

I would stick to playing MTTs and SnG's, skip the 2nl. You seem like you have very good bankroll management, just keep playing the micro tourneys.

Unless you plan on playing like 10k+ hands of 2nl a month, its not worth it to try to grind it up from there. It will just be a distraction from shipping tournaments.

Even if you played 10k hands of 2nl with a w/r of 20bb/100 that's only $40.

You know as probably everyone on this forum, even a player like me (fish with bad stats) dreams to become a PRO I know that NL2 is not worth it especially with amount of hands I play, but I played it just to get a small amount of skill from time to time in cash games So some day in my early 60s I would crush live in my daycare

Also I consider myself to play cash with lose of 1BI in one session, or get some winnings.

And I need an advice, is it worth to get troubled to use Hand2Note or I should stick with HEM2 (HEM3). Because Yesterday I downloaded Hand2Note and I got a lot of issues commonly with MTT stats, all tourneys counts as one also I need to rearrange HUDs and so on...

Week worth of playing,

results are not as I imagined them before day 1.

Ok so I finished day 7 of my MTT journey with losing half of the bankroll Today is my first day where I hadn't finished ITM at all, not in one MTT, it is a shame for me

There were few bad beats, but commonly after I review my lost hands I realize that it was poor play from my side, starting from betting/raising/shoving with trash from wrong position and finishing with bad postflop play. Commonly there are a lot of maniacs and callers in microstakes (I am one of them from time to time) too much showdowns I went with them and lose.
Also again to many re-entries into same tournaments, need to stop it... It is like oh I will re-entry this time I will show those fishes who is a shark (5 minutes later), those fishes wants to have a good lesson how they should not play (another re-entry)... But in the end of the day I am the fish with too much calling of trash and shoving preflop

Lessons from today, more folding on 2-3 barrels/reraises etc. I need to tight my range a little bit for Micro for sure, also I mostly underestimate stage of tournament and M factor, late stage need to reconsider amount of stealing (too small) etc... Studying

About hand2note, I look through everything and consider that all problems I face not worth it and HEM2 is quite good to continue with.

Plan for this week, tomorrow no play, like not at all... Saturday as well no play (need to work whole day without access to computer) After work just go through some materials, haven't yet tried RIO, for starter will look through free material and then will decide about subscription. Anyone have thoughts about RIO or RedChipPoker site???

I definitely wants RYE masterclass, but my level is not there, I am not even good user of equilab and ICMizer, even HEM2 and Note Caddy, also price! when my bankroll will be good enough to buy RYE masterclass probably I will be on the level needed)))

What we got for today:

1)Boost Bankroll to $310
1.1) Cash games
- 0 games
- Total: 500 hands -72.04 bb/100
1.2) MTT
- Total today:16
- Total month: 115
- ROI - 39% (from 64.3% first day to -39% day 7 great results)
1.3) Profit
- Today total: -25.26$
- Month Total: -47.20$
- Bankroll: 52.80$

2) Discipline
- Today I played 1.10$ and one 2.20$ MTT so commonly today I was out of my BR, that is another reason I lost so much.
- Only one or two tourneys I re-entered twice, everything else was re-entered multiple times
- No cash games

3) Minimum of 5 hours studying poker per week.
- Today: study for 2 hour and 25 minutes
- Week total: 5 hour and 40 minutes

Hey

missed poker for 2 days and fell like miss some good stuff) .

My downswing, or I would rather call it small misunderstanding with variance, still continues Results in the end of post

Friday as I promise went through the studying. After I didn't receive any advice or suggestions about what studying website to choose, I made my own decision. While I consider myself bad player I realize that in some point maybe I missed basic principles so I started "Core" program from Red Chip Poker, from basics So I definitely got value from some of the material

Good news, today I finished ITM in PLO MTT (At last) , that is only one MTT that I made ITM today. Few cash tables for practice and I am done for today.

Bad news, I need to deposit new bankroll, just want to say if you think that you went down in your BR to low, never try to double it up by BlackJack, especially online

Today's results:

1)Boost Bankroll to $310
1.1) Cash games
- Today: 2 games, 221 hand, -4$
- Total: 721 hands -76.70 bb/100
1.2) MTT
- Total today: 5
- Total month: 120
- ROI -39%
1.3) Profit
- Today total: -52.78$
- Month Total: -99.98$
- Bankroll: 0.02$

2) Discipline
- Today I played from 0.11 to 1.10$ and one 1.50$ MTT mediocre for my BR.
- MTT was re-entered only once, or double re-bought once. (I think I need to start writing abi her instead this info, just need a help abi is amount of BI/number of MTT?)
- Lost 2 BI in cash, allowed only 1 BI
- Never ever play blackjack or what so ever

3) Minimum of 5 hours studying poker per week.
- Friday: 7 hours and 15 minutes
- Today: study for 3 hour and 40 minutes
- Week total: 15 hour and 35 minutes

New BR from tomorrow will be 198.02$

Good night

    MP: $1 (50 bb)

    Flop: ($0.34) T J A (4 players)

    Hero showed Q T and won $2.67 ($1.67 net)
MP showed K J and lost (-$1 net)
BTN mucked and lost (-$0.69 net)

So some prehistory about villain before this hand he went 4bet-allin with 77, also on dry A board slowplayed AK. And also stats are aggressive but not good. If interesting I can provide, but I made my decision on his previous play. So commonly I thought that he should have something not good as 2 or 3 pair with all that aggression he provided for defense. Also mathematically my Equity was ahead of pot-odds for about 10-12% as I understand poker mathematics. I could be wrong, that is why I post this hand to understand was it good play, or I should fold flop in such situation???

      River: ($3.51) 6 (3 players, 1 is all-in)
CO bets $1.24 and is all-in, BTN calls $0.93 and is all-in

      CO showed 4 A and won $5.11 ($2.92 net)
BTN showed A 5 and lost (-$2.19 net)

I just don't know why I did what I did, in the moment I thought that 16 outs for me would be enough to call all-in. I know that I was behind after turn re-raise. I was on edge after long losing session so my decisions were bad!! So any thought about this hand?

      Here is my post!

Ok after losing all my BR yesterday in Blackjack in attempt of doubling it up, i made new rule for myself, play only poker, nothing else! So I made a deposit and I've got new day with new roll.

This week I won't be able to put enough volume because on Saturday I've got tournament (I mean sport tournament) I need to go to training at least 3-4 times this week, and when I go to training I cannot put volume in MTT because it is time consuming, so whenever I play 10-12 MTT it means I am training in the evenings. so these evenings considering finishes with cash game.

Today I was disciplined in everything so day ends great! Another good news I get in the money again in PLO (7/55)

      End of downswing!
      "finger crossed"

It is really day when I get myself out from week of downswing. First of all thanks to rules, try to read those rules I put for myself here and apply them, more discipline, more descent game.

I am continuing my adventure through PLO, today I took 1 place (out of 10 ), here is my final hand:

      [IMG][/IMG]

Also try myself in cash PLO games. Ok so difference is ****ing huge, I try to play 10 hands on 0.01/0,02$ PLO, and was stunned. There are commonly aggressive players with only one button Pot bet/raise So with good preflop range, and a little bit of variance on my side I've got 1000bb/100 with sample of 10 hands I am not sure what are downswing in PLO, but it should be like Marianas Trench.

Nevertheless I will add to my playable range some PLO cash games from time to time, but will definitely search for soft, non aggressive tables, because I am still learning.

What this day gives me, let's see:

      1)Boost Bankroll to $310

For first month I didn't reach my goal, it is definitely a lot of work and studying to do...

For this month I learned a lot about low stake MTT in ACR, firstly more folding, secondly ACR is ****ing "Magic river* Thridly need more discipline in a lot of stuff (folding, BI, BRM, reentries etc)

Commonly I need more studying, tighten my range and review played hands!!!

      January: Bankroll 100$

      1) Boost Bankroll to $310 (197.49$) and all mine, no boost
      2) Discipline:
      - MTT entries no more than 1% from BR
      - Cash Games 50BI (commonly NL2 till $300 BR)
      3) Minimum of 5 hours studying poker per week.
      4) Minimum 10 MTT per day (approximately 10)

      February: Bankroll 197.49$

      1) Boost Bankroll to $310 till February 10, 2018
      2) Discipline:
      - MTT entries no more than 1% from BR
      - Cash Games 50BI (commonly NL2 till $300 BR)
      3) Minimum of 5 hours studying poker per week.
      4) Minimum 10 MTT per day

Ok so commonly my goals are almost the same, except on 10 February I will freeze my roll through microstakes MTT and start to go through ACR series.

From February 10 to February 17 it will be Micro Series, which commonly my level of game, so there will be a ton of opportunity to boost my bankroll.

Also I will need to earn about 5000$ through series, so I will have an opportunity to play main event and few biggest MTT on the last day of whole series. Also Part of 5k I want to put into WSOPc, only once play live, want to try it more)

And as always day past results:

      1)Boost Bankroll to $310
      1.1) Cash games NLHE
      - Today: 1 game, - 1.10$
      - Total: 800 hands -49.56 bb/100

      - No more reentries and rebuys, only add-on if needed.
      - Cash games, -1.10$, less than 2 BI

      3) Minimum of 5 hours studying poker per week.

      New month, old goals... )

Nevertheless I am happy to play and continue my poker journey!

Today I played a bunch of tourneys and lost everyone except four of them, also grind some PLO, which I start to consider playing more If I will get more upswing sessions in PLO I will probably start to study it and upgrade my HEM2 from NLHE to NLHE+Omaha.

Today I've got lucky with PLO, I was on the table with some guy who basically 3, 4, 5 bet shove every hand, every street, with whatever 2nd - 3rd pair. That was Juicy I think he just thought that all 4 cards in his hands counts toward showdown)

I am tired and have to go to sleep, tomorrow morning I am going to tournament, need to be fresh! So basically for today just results.

      1)Boost Bankroll to $310

Yesterday I was tired to put all numbers together so I will do it today, in the evening will be another post!

I played almost 20 MTT and not satisfied with result, commonly a lot of problems connected with mental game and tilt. Also after morning review of hands, I commonly understand that I need more folds, I need to try to fold in some spots 2P and sets, mid/low flushes. But for me it is really hard, especially on micro stakes, when you see how people 3barreling with air (high A), it is amazing!

I will go and start my today's session so till evening!

      Hey everyone again,

another bad day, commonly because of bad beats.

Who read this thread knows me, when it is my fault of losing I will always tell it no matter what! But not today, so just for understanding, I've played 4 knockout MTTs today, about 4,5 hours of KO MTTs, and I didn't eliminate a single person. You will say that is because I am a huge fish! Maybe but even fishes eliminates at least someone in 4 MTTs. I will not climb up stakes because of this ***t, I want to beat Micro/Small Stakes MTT!!!

The only good thing is that in few month I will be able to play on PS, 888, WSOP, PartyPoker... etc.)

About my PLO game. Again I made a progress in that game, even though I played not much cash game hands, I played PLO tourneys. Today I played 2 PLO tourneys, cashed in both, 8/44 and 14/186. Really need to consider myself to upgrade my HEM to PLO and maybe start studying it better, maybe PLO is my game, will see.

      As usual my stats:

      1)Boost Bankroll to $310
      1.1) Cash games NLHE
      - Today: 0 tables
      - Total: 800 hands, -6.83$, -49.56 bb/100
      1.2) Cash Games PLO
      - Today 0 tables, 51 hands, +2.93$
      - Total 301 hands, +12.75$, +212bb/100
      1.3) MTT
      - Total today: 12, 4 ITM
      - Total month: 44
      - Total year: 214
      - ROI -37%
      1.4) Profit
      - Today total: -16.51$
      - Total profit: -123.88$
      - Bankroll: 174.11$

      2) Discipline
      - BI 27.59/12 MTT=2.3 abi (not in my 1% BRM)
      - Reentries, and add-ons
      - Cash games, +2.93$

      Hey guys and girls!

It was another nice losing day but with some knowledge.

Ok firstly I upgrade my HEM2 to Omaha and will give you more accurate results in cash games. Some of Omaha hands were played at work, means I wouldn't include them, something like 50 hands.

Today I tried how many tables I could play comfortably 4-6 depends on
aggression. Let's say 4 will be enough for now, max six if MTT is good!!!

I get a little tired of all this losing sessions, It is really hard to get over everything when you lose day by day! I need to get few days off, or play maximum of 1-2 MTT and cash tables .)) I start to struggle with my mental game, I lost like 140$ in two weeks with almost every day of losing, and I am tired, what about people who loses 10K, 100k, 1Mil in a week, or few month with day by day downswing, how the ***k did they get through it...

      Will not write to much:

      1)Boost Bankroll to $310
      1.1) Cash games NLHE
      - Today: 2 tables
      - Total: 966 hands, -11.056.83$, -57.19 bb/100
      1.2) Cash Games PLO
      - Today 3 tables
      - Total 321 hands, +3.11$, +48.44bb/100
      1.3) MTT
      - Total today: 13, 0 ITM
      - Total month: 57
      - Total year: 227
      - ROI -41%
      1.4) Profit
      - Today total: -14.73$
      - Total profit: -138.61$
      - Bankroll: 159.38$

      2) Discipline
      - BI 16.17/13 MTT=1.24 abi (in my 1% BRM)
      - No reentries, only add-ons

      3) Minimum of 5 hours studying poker per week.
      - Today: study for 0 hour and 00 minutes
      - Week total: 0 hour and 00 minutes

      Hi everyone...

I will take few days break. Will try to put my mindset in right direction. I add up few bucks to my BR, and registered for all 6 MTT in first day of Micro Series on ACR, left behind 0.00$ So commonly if I lose all 6 MTT, I will call myself worst poker player of the year!

The plan is to take days off from playing, and concentrate on studying (especially bubble game, deep run and FT) Almost every tourney on Sunday will have 5 hours of late registration! So it will be a long session!

That is why I need to be fresh and mentally prepared, so on Friday or Saturday I will play 2-3 freerolls to warm up, and crush tables on Sunday otherwise I will ask moderators or rename by myself, if it is possible, this thread to "The worst poker player of 2019"

      See you on weekends!
      Have a great day!
