What`s up community,

I`ve been browsing these forums for quite a while and never felt the desire to contribute to this awesome melting pot for poker enthusiasts.
I love the crazy game of PLO. I´ve played $25 and $50 mainly for the past 2 years....winning some money and going on a heater, just to lose 2 BI and chasing my losses up to $400 buy-in.
Of course it did not go well. My last brain dead move is 4 months old. I quit poker for a while to regroup and rethink what I want to do with my passion for poker. Of course I want to make money, but I don`t have the aspirations to become the next jungleman or OMGClay etc. I love the game and the challenge, so I will play poker whenever I have the time and am mentally near the top of my ability.
I work as a consultant for one of the big four, so time is a scarce resource, but I try to put in a few hours a week.
Besides poker I have a passion for stocks and investing.

What I want to do in this thread is to talk poker, everyday life stories, maybe some investing related stuff. I see this more of a journal for myself, but I would really love to talk and communicate with you guys. Whatever the topic might be:-)
The job pays decent money, at least for western european standards, but it is not great compared to how many hours I spent at work every day.( I just joined the company this year). But what I am aware of now, is how hard you have to work for your money. When I was a student and would lose $1.000 at the tables within the span of a week I was like "wtf. it is just money". As of today....I value money way more and try not to spend money for ****ty and senseless things.
As I enjoy the game and some challenge (also mentally) I want to start at PLO10 with a $300 BR and see where it takes me.
I don`t want to play with a hud or anything and I prefer anonymous tables, so one tabling is my way to go. Just like playing at the casino.
I´ve been losing 3 BI there and never turned a profit walking out of a casino. But I will definitely go to the casino withing the next 6-12 months in case I can proof myself that I can turn a profit at the tables online.
My short-term goal till the end of the year would be reach a BR of $1250! Lets see how this goes....
I can drop some occasional books/websites/articles that I am reading at the moment.

Right now, it is "The little book that beats the market" by Joel Greenblatt.
It is 170 pages in the most understandable gossip language. Native speakers can read it in 3 hours I guess....For myself, it takes me at least 2 weeks. From what I have read so far, the book does not provide me with any new insights, but it might be helpful to complete strangers to finance.
The book talks about a secret formula to investing. I can`t stop reading cause I don`t want to miss on this opportunity, if this magic formula would be correct :-p

Any comments are much appreciated. I will play a little 45 min session right now.
Peace
