Hey Guys. Starting a thread to keep myself accountable and have something to do.

I used to play full time, then didn't play for a year or two and now kind of getting the itch so have been dabbling again.

Plan is to play cash on ignition and at the end of the week cash 50% of any profit out to BTC. Currently at $3,000 playing 50NL.

My old holdem manager doesn't seem to import correctly anymore and im too cheap to buy Pokertracker so for now no sexy graphs. (Though it was looking very nice before my trial expired).

Probably won't update too frequently so sorry this won't be the most entertaining of threads, it's more for myself.

Ok...I'm a sucker for graphs so i pulled the trigger. The cheapness is strong with this one.

Here is my graph last couple of weeks. First 75% or so is 25NL. Rest 50NL.

The poker gods were like, oh you bought poker tracker huh? We're gonna put some dips in them graphs.

Played for like an hour and lost
TT<QJ all in on JT6 6.
AK<QQ AIPF.
QQ<A8s all in on T84.
67s<AA all in on A67.

Can't say i didn't make some EV though.

Haven't played in a couple days, went up to west palm to see my good friend and his baby and went fishing today. Got back fired up some zone and lost AK<QQ AIPF and 99<44 on T94. But hey atleast both were not full stacked.

This first weekly update gonna be gross.

Week 1: (4/17-4/21)

As i mentioned i can't put in much volume these days, but i'll usually be able to put in a tad more than this.

Week was ****, ran really bad. Lost a couple of 1 and two outers. But no big deal, i have so many buyins for 50NL that it doesn't really affect me mentally. I did manage to claw back some at the end. No profit so no BTC cashout, maybe next week.

Starting BR (4/17): $3,010

@Tytythefy--Nice, yeah i live in Plantation.

Quick update: Played in a live $150 15k at the Hard Rock two nights ago. Got up to 115k from 30k within like the first 30 minutes and then ended up busting JJ<AQ around 10 off the money.

Have been running pretty bad live lately. Bricked the $570 1M GTD and the $3,500 main during the recent WPT stop. But what can you do? Live big field tournaments have so much variance it's insane. Especially when you play <15 tournaments a year. Might fire the $130 100k this weekend if i find some time.

Anyways, last night i was playing zone for like 20 minutes and wasn't really feeling it so randomly decided to play a $55 5k on Global which i NEVER do. Ended up taking 2nd for $1k. I went into HU down 4:1 and battled back to get him down to 5bb. Shoved 35s (not sure if correct) and lost to like K high after turning an OESFD. Then lost a few pots and finally lost J9<9T on 942 for the win.

Would have been nice to win, but wasn't a huge difference for 1st (~$400) but it does kind of sting that i'm 1/3 in HU matches in the last couple of weeks, but have gotten really screwed to lose both so i can't be to hard on myself. (Other one i lost J6cc<89o on 962ccc flop ftw.)

Anyways, i'll probably still not include Global numbers in these updates since i hardly play on there but if i start to play more will look to add it. I will probably cash out $300-$500 and add some BTC though.

Decided to cashout $150 to BTC.

Sometimes i have this problem where i lose motivation after dipping down from a high watermark in BR. It's some weird psychological block, so i just cash some out to no longer worry about where i was, it gets me back to not worrying about being down and just back to making good decisions.

Another bad week for volume and results. I just have to remember not to force it.

Since 4/17

Played a couple of live tournaments at the casino this week. Both times i started great and had 4x starting stacks and couldn't bag/cash. The second one was so dumb i called an open and flat with 55. Flop 567. Guy just jams 30k and 600bb and gets there with 68o lol.

Also had the 2nd in the global tournament which all in all made it a nice week but ignition results still not great. Hopefully will get some volume in this week, but if not, oh well.

Played like 4 tournaments yesterday and ran deep in the $30 20k on ACR.

Got 8th for like $550. 1st was $5k but i was super short so would have needed to run really pure which on ACR is next to impossible for me. If there was ever a website that i thought was rigged it would hands down be ACR.

Not the best with ICM so wasn't sure about my bust out hand. I had 6bb in the BB with K5s and went all in against big stack in CO and lost to K8s.

There was one other guy with 10bb and another with 12bb but everyone else was 30bb+. Just felt like after going through blinds i would be left with 4.5bb and just praying for a KO in the next orbit.

If anyone has some input i would love to hear it.

Cashed out $350 of the $550 on ACR and spewed off the rest. After deposits that left me with a profit of .0524BTC so will be adding that to my total.

Woooof. Cash is going pretty badly lately.

AA<AKs
KK<AA
QKs<JJ on 3358sss. River Jack.

Downswings don't get to me monetarily just feels like a waste of time if that makes any sense.

Going to fight through it and eventually have a winning week lol. Def jinxed myself making this thread.

Still haven't been able to put much volume in. Combination of real life issues, not being in the mood, playing live or tournamnets, wasting time one tabling spin n go's when im bored etc...

Read like the last 3 of Acbraone's blogs yesterday and not only were they highly entertaining but also very inspiring, kids got quite the work ethic. But more importantly what im taking away from it is how he strives for a good life/health/poker balance, something that i have historically struggled with, mainly when i used to play professionally. I was either playing 18 hours a day everyday, or not playing at all. It also has me dying to get back into the gym. I hurt my wrist riding electric scooters a couple of months ago after taking a bad fall and it just hasn't healed. And while i hope it gets better while i try not to use it all for a couple of months, there is no excuse to not at least go into the gym and do 20 minutes of cardio or a leg day here and there.

I also read a part of his blog where he talks about people complaining about beats to friends or message boards only for sympathy. I randomly text my buddy when i take a bunch of beats and always right it off as like "man these suckouts are funny huh" but in reality there is at least part of me that is looking for sympathy. Or for example coming in here and writing out some beats on my blog. It doesn't do any good and negative thoughts begets more negative thoughts. So from now on i am going to do my best to not do those things and just accept it.

Here's my graph since i started this "challenge."

Volume is lol low, but again i don't have much time to play these days and really don't want to force it. But will probably have a couple of 3-4k hand weeks soon.

Finally got even for a few hands. It's funny it was right when my wife asked how's it going? I said pretty good actually and then just went straight down from there. Anyways it's her 30th birthday tomorrow and we're looking to book a hotel somewhere not too close but not too far just to get away. We were thinking Vero Beach and had a really nice hotel booked but it's like an 85% chance of rain so cancelled last minute, so we might audible and go to Naples or somewhere on the west coast.

Played like 1500 hands on ignition yesterday and broke even. I am going to three concerts this week so probably won't play at all. Tame impala tomorrow, Tash Sultana on Wednesday, and Rufus du Sol on Saturday. It's australian music week!

When i do play i will probably fire the global poker series. The play in these things is beyond horrendous but they are all super shallow after the first hour or so, pretty much turbos. Hopefully we can get a bink or two.

My sharkscope graph for this site is pretty hilarious, and it doesn't even include my 2nd place score in the $55 the other day for $1,000. I know it's only 50 tournaments but i'm pretty sure this ROI is sustainable

Depends on the payout structure and the stacks, but going with a standard 300 man structure (from 6th up the payouts are 4.4%, 5.7%, 8.25%, 11%, 14.5%, 19.35%) and assuming the other stacks are 10bb, 12bb, 35bb, 40bb, 50bb, and also assuming that the bb opened and is never folding to your shove, if we assume the big stack is opening 33% of hands (22+,A2+,K2s+,K6o+,Q8s+,QTo+,JTs), K5s is -$ev by a decent amount (4.2%). The "calling" range is (14.6%) 44+,A5s+,A8o+,KJs+,KQo.

Thanks for the analyzing dude! It felt like it was losing.

Just took 6th in an $11 4.5k on Global. AK<T4s BvB to bust. Off to bed.

We finally are in profit since i started the thread.

Also got 8th in the $218 50k on global last night for $1296. Would have loved to ladder up a few more spots but it is what it is. Global tournies are just so shallow there's only so much i can do.

Off to boston until thursday night for work so won't be playing much. Hopefully BTC can keep up it's run.

It's nice to see Sharkscope actually tracked this win. They have missed both the 2nd in the $55 for $1k and the 8th in $218 for 1.2k. Graph would be looking super nice with both those included. Anyways still looks pretty. Bummed my ROI has taken such a hit though.

In one of the tournaments yesterday i scoped one kid who i suspected was decent and holy crap his graph blew me away. After seeing this coupled with how bad the play on Global has been, i think i may spend my time that i had been using on zone/ignition, now on a bunch of tournaments on Global. Even things like a $10 1k GTD. Obviously not sexy to play tournaments with $300 up top, but with 50% ROI's it will be printing at such a higher hourly than 50nl Zone. (I mean my name is SexyI3ecksy for christ sake, how can i be playing non-sexy tournaments).

Anyways here's that kids graph. 'BigTiltCity' if you're out there, well done sir.

Sattied into the $162 and $325 on ignition but i always run terrible in big buyins.

Not hating, but I'm curious your thoughts on your bustout hand in the Global 200/50k.

Please hate away lol. I always like criticism and i am by no means a pro.

The one where i final tabled or yesterday?

Yesterday's was so bad by villain. I really didn't expect him to have a Queen (unless it was QdXd). He can def have random hands and diamonds that i beat and cant just really flat his pot sized bet, so just ripped.

Final table last week was really bad. I ICM punted for sure, no way around it.
