I’m making a thread here to log my progress through the wild and crazy PLO5 streets on PPPoker. I play .50/1-1/2 plo5 on pppoker recreationally.

Using this thread to update daily and talk about strategy and more so the mental game of poker in general I think will really benefit me. I play daily and will be updating daily as well. Please ask any and all questions! If anyone knows how to post bands here without displaying screen names and table names I would appreciate it greatly!! The goal of this thread is to update my progress until the first week of June where I am hoping to have 40k to go to the World Series of Poker! Good luck everyone!

I feel 200 BI is an unbreakable roll at this stake given the run it 3 times feature of the app. Max buy at these tables is 100BB and i will only be playing only .50/1. But currently i am running once to increase stake size and to maximize my edge against players playing 50%+ VPIP. Im not going to play bigger because I feel like losing 200+$ in single hands really affects my play. Players who have played on this app understand because of the timebank given (10 seconds I believe) and very little extended time features. The hands per hour is very high and variance is obviously crazy because of the variant I am playing.

Yuck. I would like to post some hands and color over the names of players table ID and those things but I am waiting for confirmation and clarification about what I can and can’t post in this thread! Standard variance though 5 cards is a lot and I’m increasing my 3betting to lower that SPR and dominate these loose passive players. Vpip 50+ and PFR 10%-12% lol! Crazy! Good night

Yes and I got an infraction bobo thought I was promoting. I have posted and private messages him what exactly am I allowed to post and everything. He has not responded to me. I have like 8 screen shots of hands but I don’t want to get banned for something dumb lol.

Very very crazy lots of different playing styles and many different ways you have to adapt to your game to make money!

Just played a small session won about 300. Moderator in PPPoker discussion thread said I could post screen shots of completed hands table ID's and players names covered. 5am est will be putting up some hands! I played some PLO5 there too and games were excellent. I have very little experience only but games were a lot of softer than PLO and somehow it seems players play a lot more face up as well, good luck

I would heavily prefer to keep my screen names as well as tables covered of myself and all the players at the table. I don’t want to break rules. PPPOKER does not provide text hand histories. Only replays of hands I believe and you can’t get a text hand history which is why I was asking what is the best way for me to share my hands without breaking tos. So I will post screen shots of completed hands with player names table ID covered. And hopefully people want to discuss them so I can improve! if you're using a converter then you can access hand histories through HM2, although they will be broken for five card plo (missing one hole card)

I agree in some cases here, but on pppoker plo5 is way more popular. You will not find 70%+ vpip players very often at reg plo. But at plo5 they happen everyday multiple times hahaha and they win lol! Which is why they come back! I like the variance and you can run 3x if both agree and most do. So you can decrease variance that way as well. Thanks for the comment!

Yes but don't you think you should think of it in the longer term? I mean if other sites have plo5 running etc? Pppoker could at any point for example just close.

Very true, I feel in Poker you adapt to the best value. And players who adapt fastest and make the best decisions based on their situation thrive that’s all. Thank you for the comment! If pppoker closes I will adapt and go back to reg plo on the US sites

In my experience 5 card plays nittier actually. But with the right guy or two it can be completely opposite. 5 card high low is much more action also.
