Loving the volume. Im away on business but Im able to play zoom for about 2k hands a day now which is great. I'll post hands for some discussion as well as Im looking for others to hand discuss with etc.

I will be streaming when I get back in June but that'll be once I'm at 100ploz, I'm taking an aggro approach to the zoom tables for BRM. I don't want to be playing 50plo over 100k hands with the current rake.

Thoughts?

Either fold pre or just flat.. You don't want to be playing bloated pots out of potions with marginal hands like that..As played Pot the flop, put the turn, you should only be taking the line you took with this hand with either a pure bluff or the nuts.. The river is a tough spot and hard to give you an answer without reads or stats on villian.

Going over the matrix yes its a fold. I had an exploitative read but unfortunately others who i talked with told me its a spew preflop even if we have a read, its just too disconnected and we make the nut low straight. we’re calling here tho

Going over my mistake its a clear pot+call.
I tend to fold when I get raised on monotone boards because Im scared of the set.

Fold preflop. Another mistake. If we had an A8+ we call. Currently working on these types of hands as Im calling too loosely

Im ok with the preflop. on the flop we should be checking 70% of time here. Unfortunately i was a donk. if we had a bdfd i think we barrel for half pot here.

Not sure if we can fold river. I think this is a sigh call since a lot of AAxx could possibly do this. These are the types of hands where I tend to call a lot more vs unkowns. But I should always assume they have it.

First and foremost Im giving unknowns way too much credit and it's affecting my game and mental mind. Going over these hands makes me get frustrated with myself.





The second hand is infurating after looking at it and going over visions, it's definetly a pot. smh.

One of the take aways today was how much I ****ing love omaha. It's so crazy how this game can take a toll on your mind. If you want to become successful in this game you NEED to have a strong mindset.

Today was crazy. I was busy with my side business in and out of the house all day. It's good. I have to admit I didnt really have a chance to sit down and really zone out on zoom today, it's fine. I told myself I'll be strictly playing 2k hands per day. I don't ever have a problem grinding zoom even when Im down a couple buy ins. I havent been down 20buyins which I heard is average lmfao. Can't wait.

I finally made the switch to H2N, I have to say it's amazing. I haven't tried to look into any stats from regs yet off the tables. I plan on doing so tomorrow.

I'm excited for my first coaching session. I can't wait to see how many leaks I have and be able to adjust properly.

Overall Im planning on investing into a server + monker, just go ham on sims. I won't be doing that until end of may once my business settles down. Currently I have visions and It has been helping my game out tremendously. I'll keep it until I get a server&monker going.

First coaching session some takeaways

- Slowdown on my actions. Take the time to think about what villain hands could be, what bet sizing I should use. How this board interacts with our range and villains range.

- Focus on 1 stack size

- IP flat more KKxx, OOP 3bet more KKxx(Need to work on preflop with KKxx with the Matrix)

Overall my coach said my thought process was suprisingly better than he expected(given how i showed some HH in the group channel). My thought process is better than most 50z PLO players. Im exteremly happy about that takeaway. Gonna go over the footage again tonight. Gonna play now

After the coaching session I felt good, well rested started playing and boom. Lots of strange calls but we were getting it in good. If I didnt have proper bankroll management I would be stressing. I believe I played my B game today. There were some mistakes I know I made at the end of the session. I wanted to play a lot of hands and I thought to myself I could get back up. The whales were just intense today which is great for the game. Loved every bit of it.

Unsure if we should be folding turn. I think we should be. I dont see BTN raising with draws on the turn. This seems like sets to me

Not playing anymore today and tomorrow. Im dedicating 4 hours to study over my preflop and actions on the flop. Somethings going wrong here.

I decided to take a break today from poker. Reset. I studied last night went over a few spots to understand what I did wrong or how I couldve gotten more $. Today I’ll take a break. No poker whatsoever.

I’ll make tuesdays my no poker days.

May Results Playing 2-3 Zoom


34 buy in loss out of my 100 buy in bankroll. These loses have been bigger since my coaching session. Interesting hands unfolding on the flop where I believe its just variance. I am not worried about my game as much as I am worried about the variance coming in. I could post hands on the variance Ive been getting but I want to keep this blog stricly for hands that are worth mentioning and getting feedback on.

I recorded todays session 30 minutes of it at least and I'm talking about my thought process during. I believe Ill be posting it and sending a link here. Im going to be taking a playing break until the end of the month. Somethings off here, may be my mental game, variance, or me playing poorly postflop or preflop. I haven't figured it out just yet and until I do I'll be staying away from the tables. I'll take the next 5 days-7 days to study and go over my database to see what exactly I have been doing wrong.

My plan was going in with a 100BI BR and playing shortstack, get familiar with the game and learn from my mistakes using matrix+visions. After playing 20k hands I decided it's monker+server time. I currently have enough to make the purchase for Monker, buy a server + buying jnandez sim package. I haven't pulled the trigger yet. I kindve want to buy a coach for a hour to show me how one would go over a hand in detail etc. I haven't made the decision yet though.

I made up my mind in terms of either dropping down stakes or quitting poker as a whole in 30k-40k hands. If I do not see an improvement within 30k-40k hands Im going to go ahead and quit playing or move down in stakes(most likely the ladder as I dont want to be paying for rake).

Incoming thoughts and hand analysis from me.

Hand #1
UTG has a lot of AAxx. When villain pots flop we can call 1 time IMO. When he pots turn again hes showing tremendous strength which I believe is a nit fold for us. I don't see him doing this with anything but the nuts. AA/AQ. I dont think he has a lot of JTs doing this and since we have the J blocker its more unlikely he has it. Looking back at the hand I believe we should be folding pot turn.


Hand #2
Unsure with turn. Tbh. Not sure if its correct to call here or fold. I don't see much sets in his range on the turn and when he does shove we have the blockers for the straights but not the lower straights. I really dont see him having 74xx here that calls a raise flop.


Hand #3
This hand is a spew its a x/c on flop evaluate turn. Im posting this hand because I want to make sure I dont do this again. Absolutely disgusting.

This was before my coaching session and learning about AA/KK hands are not as valuable in PLO than NLHE. Again check on flop evaluate turn.




Overall Im committing too much on my draw type hands on the flop/turn when I dont have much equity vs sets/straight made. It's a massive leak I found going over several hands today. I have to make the adjustment of calling more rather than raising a lot of their donks/bets IP. Even x/r oop. On a positive note Im glad I looked over several hands and saw the same leak over and over again. I'll work towards calling a lot more with pair+draw hands rather than raise with pair+draw when theres a straight/sets available.
