ok so next day lost the $697 and that was the end of my money.
Couple of days later won 2000 euros in a 10k gte freeroll that must have been for unibets worst players and only about 10 people played it
Decided to use the 2000 euros as one last attempt at plo400 on there and it went terribly as usual, must be down a few thousand now so banned it for 6 months
Borrowed 250 off my dad until payday and tried heads up plo50 on partypoker- that was quite fun but the rake was huge ($94.80 in 395 hands at plo50 heads up) and lost that
Saved food and train money for work lol and deposited 25 and had a 600 profit today

recently then have had 7.5k, about 5k in this thread at one point, 3k after losing the 7.5k and before starting this thread and another 2800 the other day so that is quite a few thousand blown through which I should really have a fair bit left of if I hadn't been completely stupid

maybe a couple of thousand was wages but the other has been winnings that I've mainly thrown away at plo400 and some a plo1000/2000

I'm growing a bit sick of my job (have a couple of good friends there though and payday is nice) as it just takes up a lot of time and about a years pay will equal how much I've lost recently and i have no interest in the actual job- i really enjoy playing poker and just so much money compared to my job slops around

I'm going to do a challenge of 90 days- averaging 50 profit a day starting from this 600 bankroll and if i bust I'll just keep restarting but i wouldn't mind quitting the job as i just have no interest in it what so ever and I think it's just me sabotaging myself most of the time by playing things i shouldn't

90 days x $50= 4500 and i could save £500 easy a month (only if this challenge is going well) = 1500 so I would quit with about £5000 or just keep working

in this challenge then I need to work on a few things

+spend some money along the way- the way i live just doesn't matter if i have a few thousand or no money. All i do is work, football, poker and drink some beer which can be done very cheaply, just buying a few nice things like a £20 pizza for dinner instead of 2 packs of crisps- might give me motivation to win more rather than just spend it all on more gambling

+stick to my site where I've been doing well and maybe try and play some heads up on partypoker then get coaching and a bankroll before playing games i shouldn't should be my plan moving forward and try and listen to any advice

+try and get used to winning- when I've had these few thousands recently i find it hard to sleep and am quite agitated - when I've lost it just feels completely normal, I'm a bit grumpy and can sleep fine...........guess to solve this you just get used to it after a while

+try and get good sleep, eat healthy and keep fit

and if i fail the challenge then my life stays exactly the same as it is so nothing to lose

reading this post it seems very stupid that in total recently I'm down about £3k and want to quit my job to play poker but i just think I'm better than the players on my site at PLO50/100/200 and it's annoying watching the regular players taking the dead money of worse players when I'm bust again

to be honest I've done about 30 challenges like this in the past but might as well try another one

lost that 600 or so the next day so that can be attempt 1

so I'll keep redoing the 90 day challenge until I've averaged $50 profit for 90 days

90 Day Challenge attempt 2

Day 1: +$126.65

things i need to work on: 1) spending money on other things..... get a new laptop and new phone at some point.....look at this in a week or so when I hopefully have a bit more money

2) stick to my site.....I'm doing that so far and I have the intention of playing lower stakes on harder sites instead this time

3) get used to winning.........even though I only had a small win in comparison I'll probably find it hard to sleep

4) try and get good sleep, keep healthy and fit............set my alarm for 1am earlier (payday/hour) and played now until 5am with work at 10am so need to just take it slowly and sleep more

balance $376.65

Play stakes that make sense for your roll. Only play games with AT LEAST 50 Buy-ins (100 BIs is best for PLO), or you will continously bust. Simple as that.

I have similar issues with plo br management, although lately it has been better. Do you have any books on the topic that you recommend for me and op? (Or youtube vids)

Find these type of challenges way more interesting than the standard PGC’s thread.

cheers derp yeah i was counting my balance and also my wages from work for each attempt.......as long as i don't throw money away vs people at HU1000 or something i don't mind too much if I'm playing good games underrolled

i should also try and make sure I update this daily- even after losses rather than ignore the thread for a few days and losses/ stakes or something spiral out of control

So since my last update I'm guessing I lost the 1274 dollars the next day.

June payday I had quite a good gamble. Put 1000 on pokerstars to see if I could beat zoom200plo, ended up in zoom500plo and had my record balance of over 9000 on pokerstars. Lost it all in a day though after building it up for a couple of days.

Seems like the thread is just a big gamble rather than being able to stick to any targets.

Now the computer is finally broke and I'd just end up putting my 1500 payday on the table so I better not play online for a while especially as I have 16 days off work so might as well get out a bit and go and play live.

1530 is my bankroll and if I just play 1/2, buying in for £240 I have 6ish buyins and it's unlikely I'll lose them all at once so as long as I get some gamble out of it and keeps me occupied for some of my 16 days off I'll be happy, with the kind of deluded thought of if it goes well trying to be profitable at poker.

Will easily be able to stick to 1/2 as id be embarrassed to sit at a 2/5 table as it'd be so obvious I don't have the money for it so that should help a bit.

I'll try and play 80 hours in the 16 days, try not to go below 0 and cover my costs-probably 50 a day.
I will be playing holdem mainly I would imagine but don't mind playing 1/2 omaha either if there's one avaliable even though I should probably stick to holdem with 6 buyins.

So that's my new little challenge for myself and I'll make sure to update if it goes well or not
