Been dabbling with PLO for a while, but been terribly inconsistent (both BR and general gameplay). Had zero to none results to show for it, which is mildly disappointing.

Will be playing some, swearing some (might be more than some) but the whole point of this is to keep myself accountable and take the hits as they come as opposed to deleting pt4 database and restarting lol.

Goal to start with is... 20BI @ 5$ buy-in PLO.

Lousy goal, but hey - will pay for... A couple of McDonald's meals lol

First session done. Usual stuff, win some, lose some. Ended up in the green, didn't necessarily deserve it - but it's good to have a positive start.



Only 19BI to go, at this rate I'll be broke in a few weeks

Finally found some time to play!

Which was, by my nature, overcompensated by playing way to many tables than I can handle and (naturally) playing really really bad.

I mean... It's a couple of buy-ins playing PLO, not the end of the world, but yet again a frustrating session. One of these days I will stop loving poker!

Right, a bit of an update. And a question for those who are looking at this.

Do any of you play on a mac and had issues with PS software? Mine's decided not to work anymore for some reason.

Had to move to GG to play (I mostly have time during the day and other sites are a bit dead traffic-wise).

Anyway, I went on to play the good old 5$ games and really struggled... Had 4 reg tables open (more or less standard for me), moved it up to 6 and like 45mins later I could barely see. Don't appreciate these mickey-mouse graphics. I will of course blame my results on graphics and graphics alone!

Anyhow, I've reduced the tables to 2 and it felt a bit better. Maybe it's my screen :/ So I saw everything more or less clearly again. But soooo slow. Decided to give this lovely zoom variant a chance (rush and smth)



Really odd hand got my green line going up like there's no tomorrow. Got 3bet by a 25% 3-bettor (just over 100 hands on him) and shoved with KKJJs, ran into AA. I'd say it's tough luck, but managed to suck out.

At some point that green line will shoot right down, but let's enjoy it in the mean time.

Would anyone recommend a micro-popular site that isn't PS or GG? Something where I could find a couple of regular and/or zoom poker game during the day (CET)?

Oh wow, got on the whiskeys last night all full of confidence after last 24 hours. Not a good idea, dropped right back where I started.

On the bright side - managed to fix Stars! This is like super positive. Really hated GG.

Well, as one might assume my disappearance from the forum had more to do with playing (running?) Bad than anything else. Humbling experience when you realise you're hiding from your own results.

Nearly busted with my move to stars, had a tiny bit of sense of leaving a few bucks and starting to rebuild on PLO2. Don't have the stats to hand, but looking positive so far - although through a small sample. Good luck me, should be back to plo5 shortly.

Right, looks like I've finally got over the hurdle of PLO2 (yet again).

Previous losses left me with circa 60 bucks to play with (don't make fun of me, i might be poor but i'm determined!)

Plan was to run it up to a 100 and take a shot a plo5 (yet again. this is becoming a common theme)

Well, those of you who are of age and have jobs/kids/etc. know that sometimes it's just impossible to find time to play.

Managed to squeeze an hour or so at the tables to start off the 5$. Very few hands, but at least it keeps things moving



Fingers crossed for a more productive next week - this might take a while with 200 hands / week schedule

When playing run downs, from a solver perspective it doesn't;t like any hand with cards lower than a 5. Sure we flop quads but that isn't gonna happen very often.. I'd 3 bet 5678ds, but fold the 2356 ds.

Struggling with volume again, life is just getting in the way.

Anyhow, plo 2 / 5 giraffes below. Nothing fancy, just keeping the ball rolling. Made enquiries regarding coaching - got to the point where it feels like the passion is fading away but I'm just no ready to give it up just yet. I'd like to get to PLO25 or something over the next year. Silly little goal - but I think I'm getting mellow with age lol
