Hello Everyone. Today I am going to start a PLO challenge. I have slowly becoming a losing NL player over the past couple years because I am bored with the game. PLO has brought back to love of the game for me and I have had some success the last couple months playing. I have some basic goals to start and a few questions.

Goals
-focus on position
-3 Buy in stop limit
-Only play when I can focus 100% on the game
-Minimize tilt - one of my biggest issues

I have a $900 roll to start. Any suggestions what limits I should play. I have the ability to reload if I go broke.

I will update this thread as I progress. I would like to build this roll to 30K by the end of 2019.

3 buyin stop limit is sometimes going to be 5 minutes of play. I’d suggest at least 10. Definitely not uncommon to have 20 buyin swings in one session in plo. What’s your plo experience and what sites are you playing on? Knowing that would help with suggestions on stakes to play. Glglgl

Thanks for the advice. Much appreciated. Because I am in the US I am limited to ACR, BetOnline and Global. Most of my play has been at BetOnline. About to play my first session. Plan on 3 to 4 tabling to start. Should I start with 10PLO or 25PLO and drop down to 10PLO if I have a bad run.

One big hand was most of the profit. Flopped a set of 77s vs Straight and flush draw. Turned a boat.

This, especially if you are going to be playing 4x tables you can easily lose 4 buy ins within a matter of minuets in PLO the variance is much bigger than NLH. I do suggest having a strict stop/loss though just higher the number of buy ins when playing PLO considering the swings a PLO session can turn out.

Also I would stick to playing the highest limit you are comfortable/winning at considering the massive rake at micro PLO. I would probably stay away from micro PLO on WPN considering the regs/bots at the stakes even though it can still be profitable I think you would have more success playing on global / BetOnline. Thanks for replying. I am going to raise the stop loss to 7 Buy-in’s for now. Played my second session. Took the 93 I won on the first session and played 100PLO. Had a very good session. Bank roll now $1315.55.

Going to stick to 25PLO going forward.

Thank you. Another winning session at 25PLO. Biggest hand was a suck out. I held As9s97 on a Js95s board. Everything went in on the flop. Opponent had JJ. 400bb pot. I hit flush on turn. I had been playing super agro. Three betting villain pre in position about 75% of the time he raised.

Why the hate. If you actually read my goals I am not trying to ball with anyone in Macau. Just holding myself accountable and it helps. I have a full time job, a pregnant wife and am very happy with my life. Doubled my roll in a week or so. Please elaborate on your comment. Do you just have nothing better to do.

I am not making this up. I am winning. Another winning sesssion last night at 50PLO. Very swingy and aggressive tables. Was up and down 4 buyins both ways at some points. Balance is now 2124.20. I haven’t had the time to post hand histories etc. But I will. Definitely not trolling. I am using this thread to document publicly what I am doing. Helps me hold myself accountable.
