I checked in HM3, apparently, I'm paying 17,35bb/100 rake so far. :S

I see now that PLO25 has the same rake cap as PLO2500 lol, seems a bit insane.

I can't believe that's right. Would be good to find out from anyone who puts in decent volume on Party about how much rake they're paying over a larger sample.

I've logged a good amount of volume there but not using a tracker and not at PLO25. 20% rakeback is something and you can get more if you put in the volume + rake races but still a bit insane that you need to win at that rate just to break even.

I think it´s actually the other way round. He doesn´t have to beat 17bb/100 rake to win, but he´s winning so much (and probably playing a rather loose style) that he has to pay a lot of rake. Given that travbana is his coach, I´m assuming he doesn´t play a 20/14 style lol

Playing style obviously has some effect on the amount of rake paid.

I'd be surprised if he's playing 40% of hands at Fast Forward and wins in the long run. Considering most players with the exception of fish are sitting there folding out everything but premium hands and run-downs I don't imagine a more LAG style will be very profitable. Very happy to be proven wrong on that but seems like when I open the range up I end up seeing monsters at showdown.

Part 1 - 4 weeks of coaching - Completed

So I have now studied and played PLO for the first time for 4 full weeks with coaching help from Travbana. It has really been a great experience and I've learned so much and I'm loving the transition from NL.

Part 2 - 15k hands at PLO25 - Battle of the students

This begins tomorrow for me, goal is simple: win the most amount of $$!

We decided that I will do the battle on Partypoker so that no one complains about my other site being softer, deep tables, or whatever.

500$ possible extra win for me if I beat all the others so that my coach wins the 10K$.

Below is the final result of the past 4 weeks, 50/50 mig of PLO10/25 and tiny bit 50 (lost money there).

Are you going to play fast forward for it rather than regular tables? If someone in the challenge game selects then it's a huge advantage to jumping into fast forward / zoom.

Just playing FF, don't really care :P

Let's just say challenge started as bad it could have, losing a lot and 300 something $ under EV... while at the same time playing a few hands on the other site at plo50 winning every hand :P

I will update actual results later, but honestly, I can't be arsed to think about the stupid challenge part right now haha. You can't really decide to win the next 15k hands when playing PLO

It Will be really hard to turn that start around, but to be fair this should never have been my focus and I'm pretty sure it affected my game some, me having such high expectations.

Have been playing some deep-stacked plo50 and even a little plo100 with better results on the other site. Doing a bigger grind this weekend when I'm off work again

So... plan from the beginning was for me to do the challenge on my normal site where I've been crushing. But as a had a good start on Party we all decided I should do it there instead so no one thinks I have an advantage or whatever.

Let's just say Party hasn't treated me well, and in all honesty I think I played pretty poorly once I got a bad start.

So I have given up the challenge as there is no way I can win. Overall Party results below.



But I've learned so much during this time with Travbana and will continue to play PLO. I'm doing well in my PLO50$ deep-stacked games, running pretty bad there as well but winning and it's clear that I should be crushing the games. Have 15bb/100 winrate overall.

On another note I'm moving back to Sweden in a few weeks, will play full time over the summer and might go back to the university after.

I'm done with this working from home corona situation here and have resigned from my job

Will update with results from other site at end of month of before I'm leaving or something.

Below you will find my monthly results from main site, all things considered I'm doing pretty well for my 2nd month ever playing PLO and I'm looking forward to play and study full time over the summer if not more, depending on how thing develop.

My apologies for not following through with all the hands on Party, I know I let you down, but there really is no point doing it. I'm sure I would be a winner there long term as well (played 12k hands lol) as I have huge swings on main site as well. But better play where the value is for now
