Playing long hours live - How do you get motivated? Playing long hours live - How do you get motivated?

Hey,

I've been playing about 10-15hrs/week of live $2/$5 for the last 7 months and have managed to pick up about $10,500 (min. brag) for my time so far this year. I don't rely on the money, but it is nice.

I'd like to keep on playing for the rest of the year and see if I can hit my goal of $20,000 profit, but finding the motivation is so hard.

Problem - I'm 22 years old and the Casino I play at is only open Thurs, Fri & Sat nights from 7:30pm - 3:00am.... Pretty sure there's a million (or 2 specifically) things I'd rather be doing at these hours....

For about the last month when playing, I haven't really wanted to be there... Even when I'm $500-1000 up for the session, I'm just thinking "****... can we just finish already and go get wasted?" Even the hourly of about $30-40 isn't that appealing in getting me to stay.

Should I keep playing? I can only see it being logical if I start playing twice as much and try to achieve some larger-scale goal.

[x] OP doesn't play much online because he is too bigger fish to win... gotta play bad casino players to profit yo!

In before someone says:

[ ] 10hrs a week is long hours

.... when those hours are 10pm-3am on a Saturday... it's a painful time to not be where you wanna be!

If you're not relying on the money, and you don't want to be there playing, why play? Take a couple weeks off and enjoy yourself, then go back to playing when you feel recharged.
