Hey guyz,

let me introduce myself shortly. My name is Tomas. I am 22 years old and I am from Czech republic. I have started playing poker in 2009 after winning 1,37 in freerol tournament. Most part of my poker career I have played cashgame 6-max and heads-up on limit nl50-nl200. In 2012 I went on college and since that I pay 50% of my outcomes from poker. (other 50% pay my parents.) Since that I have been mostly BE player, may be slight winner but because of rakeback I manage to make good money. Everything went smooth.

Till last year when suddenly everything ****ed up. It started with big downswing and lots of unexpected outcomes between april and october 2014 and I dropped from Nl200 to nl10. Also my girlfriend broke up with me, I had almost no money and I owned 800 euros to my parents. It was one of the worst period of my life. I wrote "cry e-mail" on BPC and explained them how desperate I am and ask them if they couldnīt coach me for profit.

I didnīt know they coach for profit so I was supprised when they told me they do but I was explained they donīt take everybody.

I went through some steps, one included playing 100k hands in 21 days. I was accepted few days ago. So in a few days my journey begins. I will start playing Heads-up cashgame NL50. I will update this blog at least twice a week. It is not going to be only about poker. I will share here updates on other areas of my life(working-out, girls, learning spanish...) put interesting videos, articles everything I find valuable.

I am happy that the bad things happened because if not I would never be part of the coaching for profit. I would also didnīt meet other girls I met after the break-up and I wouldnīt need to push myself to become the best version of myself. Everything bad happens in your life you should view that as lucky because thatīs when you start growing.

So far I have made some money since the downswing. I am on nl50 I also donīt own money to my parents. In his book he explained why is working out with your body better and healthier than going to gym. In the book is also plan on 10 weeks. From begginers level to elite level. I bought few weeks ago gainer so finally I have started gaining some weight.

I will update the blog at least two times a week.

Hey guys,

First update after I started playing.

So after thursday introduction session with my coach Oskar alias “Uhlvar”. I started playing. I have my first 5 days over. But it wasnīt great start.

First day I started using pt4 so I needed to set up everything. I had some issues with pt4 my hud wasnīt working properly. Also I hit stop loss so I finished the day after two hours playing.

Second day was slightly better I was BE, my hud was working.

Third day I hit my stop loss again but luckily after 7 hours of playing.

Fourth day of playing something happened with my pt4. Suddenly all hands imported several minutes later than I was playing. Also hud was not updating on tables. I tried to fix it 1all day. I was pretty tilted because of it and I play almost nothing just trying to solve the pt4 problem.

Fifth day (today) I got back on hem2, I didnīt xpecience any lags or something so far.

After 5 days I am down 436 euro. Yeah not a greatest start. But nothing extraordinary. This just happen. Thatīs poker. I think I play well, Oskar also didnīt find that I would be doing something stupid. So I should beat it with help of Oskar, Gordon and all of you guys who are active on this forum. I had one proper session with Oskar and I had also two extra session because of hitting stop loss two times. So I want to thanks to Oskar that after every stoploss he had session with me and we talk about hands I played that day.. In 5 days we had three session. I Hope next five days I wonīt hear Oskar that often.
I also have to start doing lots of things I wasnīt used to. Like posting hands on forum, commenting hands, recording videos of session with oskar, pre-session rituals…. There was plenty thinks but I think I handle it and I got used to it. Lots of these things I do while playing because lots of time you are just waiting for oponents, so I can review my hands, comment hands of others and do other stuff.

Goals on the next 3 days:

Played at least 7 hours a day

Comment 20-30 hands per day and always write why I would play it that way.

Post at least 3 hands per day

finish seminar work to school

Work-out 1 day.

Learning spanish every day.

Hey guys. My weekly 3 days update.

Goals for this days were.

Overall I am still down 400 euros but I think I play well. I really enjoy playing poker like I havenīt enjoyed for very longtime. Every day I play at least 7 hours + another hours I am spending posting hands on forum, commenting hands of other people, watching videos from coaching. I am really now loving the game.

It is interesting to see how posting your goals publicly increase your chance doing it. This 3 days I went to bed every day in 10 a.m. and get up in 2. p.m because I set the goals I didnīt want to write to publicly that I failed. So I went to sleep very late (actually very early) just to finish my goals but week ago Iīd rather go to sleep and said to myself “oh I did enough today I can go to sleep”. And for me sleeping like 4 hours a day is really incredible (actually today I didnīt sleep at all just sleep like two hours between 18 p.m and 20. p.m.) because I was always a big sleeper. I could easily sleep like 10 or even 12 hours a day. But now I am just keep working. I guess when you enjoy the things you do it feeds you with joy and you have lots of energy. I am really excited about myself even I am down 400 euros. My game improved in a past week rapidly thanks to Gordon, Oskar (Uhlvar) and my work.

Hey guyz,

Just a quick review of past 3 days.

Goals on 8-10. february was

Sit on tables at least 7 hours a day (If I did not stoploss) – fail

8th I had problem with my internet so I played only 1 hour

9th I was at my parents so I got back on dormitory late and started playing at 1. a.m. I played to 7. a.m. and there wasnīt any people, so I quit the day after 6 hours.

10th I dinīt play at all I had very ****ty mood.

Today I am going from 8. a.m. to 3. p.m on snowboarding so Iīll comeback fresh and will be grinding hardcore againg.

I bought even his book. So if you are struggling with language and you like to find new ways how to do things quickly and more efective way. This is the guy.

I know about 800 hundred basic most used words. Now is time to move on the next phase. Learning abstract words.

Work-out 1 day. fail. I finished my gainer and new one comes today. For me working-out without gainer doesnīt have too much sense because I have problems gaining weight. i weight two days ago and my weight is 73.7 kilograms. Which is accurate 10 kilograms more that I had year and two months ago. Since that I started working out but I wasnīt serious about it all the time and had lots of pauses. But 10 kilograms is succes for me. I want to weight 85. My height is 180 cm.

Hey guys review of previous 3 days.

goals on 11-14 february was

since I played only 7 hours, minimum is 35. So sit at least 28 hours behind the tables. – done I make this in 3 day because 11 I was snowboarding and then I was dead. 13 and 14 was pretty intense I played together 22 hours in those days

Hey guys quick review of past three days.

I am ****ing angry about mysefl. I am such ****ing lazy ****. It is just it, I work hard usually just half of week and another half of week I work so small. I hate myself when I am not putting maximum effort to something. I didnīt fullfil lots of goals I set up because I rather sleep.



Goals on 16-18 february

Play at least 21 hours – fail 1st day I played 5 hours, second day I hit stoploss and instead of using the free time to work out of the table, I rather went sleep, because I am ****ing bitch, thirday I didnīt play at all because I wake up at 2. a.m and another hour and half I couldnīt get out of the bed. So I didnīt do almost anything because then we have college party.

Comment 20 hands every day – I even didnīt fullfill this I commented 45 hands. lazy ****

Hey guyz,

review of past 4 days. It was hardworking days but I made it. 38 hours sitting behind tables + another probably 2 hours working out of table so almost 50 hours of poker in past 4 days. Yesterday I was really exhausted last two hours but I am proud that I work on 100%. That is how it should be done.



Finally after dowswning in first and also second week went to green numbers and my overall profit is now 225 euro.

Hey guyz,

3 days update. It wasnīt succesful week. I didnīt fulfil almost any goals. First day I hit stop loss after one hour of playing and I was tilted and wasnīt in the mood of doing any work outside of table, which I ofcourse should. Second day I did everything what I was supposed to and thirday I didnīt do anything because I wake up on afternoon and then at 8. p.m. i went on birthday party. I am not satisfied with myself It is almost tradition that usually 2 days in week I donīt do anything.

Goals on 23-25 was

Sit at least 20 hours behind tables– fail only 7 hours

comment 20 hands per day - fail I comment 27 for 3days

Hey guys.

February was my first month in CFP so I will make quick evaluation of February. SO overall my profit in first month is 455 euro, which is not much if we compare it to 60k that I have to make but I am very satisfied with myself and my game. First I think 11 days was pretty hard. I had to get used to on new format. (I used to be 6-max player). Learn lots of new lines which I didnīt play before. There was lots of information that I had to get to my head. I Also get used to play much more and do much more work outside of tables. My understanding of game and skill has increase dramatically. I am completely different player than I was month ago. Mainly I finally take the poker seriously as my work. I get used to do daily homeworks, comments hand, posting hands, rewatch coaching session, make review of sessions… I do it on daily basis not just once a time. Also last 20 days there was a pattern in my graph. That I had always 4 winning days and 1 losing days. Not sure if it can be done like this in long run but it would be nice.

I also started read book “Mental game of poker” because I have a bit tilting problems. I just sometimes get angry when something donīt go as I expect or I lose some pots when I am not sure If I play it well. I donīt think while tilting I do something stupid, but probably I overlook sometimes some important factor that would influence my deccission. This is something I want to work on.

Another issue I have been dealing it is that I have days when I practically work my ass of, play 11 hours, do other work to poker and practically spend whole my day just poker and then I have days when I donīt do anything. I want to have only 1 free day in a week and than at least 3 days work hard (8 hour+) and three days a bit less (5 hour +), because the program will take sometimes so it is not sprint but marathon and I want to be able to finish it and not burned out after two months.

Otherwise it is really great to have coach on long-term because it is not only you who wants you to be winning poker player but there is also somebody you can talk about the issues you are having in poker.

Hey guys,

quick review of last 3 days. I have good feeling of my game. But I have another problem. I have ****ed up sleeping hours because I sleep basically every week in different time. Usually it looks that Far example Day 1 I wake up at 11 a.m so I should go sleep at 3. a.m if we consider sleeping 8 hours but I have lots oft energy and I go sleep at 4 a.m. so day 2 I wake up hour later at 12 a.m but I again go sleep later fe at 6. a.m and so I wake up Day 3 at 2.p.m an so on and my sleeping hours changing. So after week I live according australian time I am going sleep at 11. a.m and waking up almost when there is a dark outside. And than I want to change it to some normal time and usually for a day or two I feel like total **** because body doesnīt know when to sleep so I am just completely lack of energy whole day in a ****ty mood and it is just ****ed up. So in tuesday I dinīt play at all because I was feelling like a **** whole day. I need to set some range when I will go sleep and when I will get up to not **** my sleeping hours.

Hey guys,

just do review of past 3 days. Results were pretty good but otherwise I am not satisfied with myself. I am still struggling that I am not working as much as I should. I have still days when I work all day and then I just donˇt do anything. It is easy to play if you feel motivated but much harder when you are not. Ofcourse you donīt feel motivated every day.

I read that fear is much powerfull motivation that positive motivation. Far example people make better results if they are fear they lose something that if they can gain something. So I think the best think how to fulfill my goals and give strong WHY I should do something is that in case not fullfill my goals I will lose something.

So If I donīt fullfil my goals that I write in the next 3 days I will send 100 euro to my coach Uhlvar. Exception in only in case of problem with internet connection, hitting stop loss (goals associated with playing poker)or some terrible sickness.

Goals on 6 – 8. 3. 2015

Play at least 20 hours - fail played only 16

Hey guys,

quick review of past 3 days. I played first two days every day 4 hours because I have some RL things. So last day I had to make 10 hours, also learn the spanish words and post 8 hands on forum. The last 3 hours of playing I had to push myself really hard because I wanted quit so much and go sleeping and definetely I wasnīt in the mood after 10 hours playing learnig spanish but I did it. I did it mainly because if I didnīt Iīd have to pay 100 euros to my coach. I think that was the main reason I got all my goals done. I really hated myself in that moment that I my make this kind of commitement but I need to push myself behind my current limits. So I think it is really good thing and I will continue using negative motivation.

I also add one thing in my pre-session ritual. I read it to myself before every session. Why I play poker?. This is so far the list. I will probably update him time to time.

1) Because I love this game

2) Because I want to travel around the world

3) Because I want to be able to work anywhere in the world

4) Because I want to help others to do be able make living by playing poker and fulfil their dreams

5) Because I am afraid if I donīt succeed in poker, I will end up making hamburgers in mcdonald or I will be in pennymarket behind the cash box.

6) Because If I donīt make all my goals. I will have to pay 100 euros to my coach

7) Because I need money to make investements to gold and silver.

Hey guys,

quick review of past three days. I played pretty lot and I was expecting big traffic because it was weekend but actually traffic was very low. Otherwise nothing special happened I spend these 3 days infront of computer and results looks so far very good this month. I ****ed up again my sleeping hours. Yesterday I went to bed at 8. a.m and today get up at 16 p.m. otherwise I am glad I fulfil all my goals.

Hey guys quick review of past 4 days.

The last day I got approved to play nl100. SO I am happy that I moved on next limit. Hopefully now I will also have more action and more hand played every month.

The last day I was on women handbal in our city watching how we destroyed Belarus and then went with friends to pub. Came back at 2. a.m and have to play 5 hours, learn 10 new spanish words and review my old wods. Really donīt want it but what could I do I didnīt want to pay 100 euros to my coach.

quick review of past days. It wasnīt very good days. In saturday I went to college ball. I wanted to relax a bit. So that means I got drunk as ****. I donīt drink too much lately. So I am not very used to drink. I had really terrible hangover. Even on monday. On sunday I was supposed to play 8 hours. I really donīt want it and I played four. THan I quit because I wasnīt able to focused properly I missread board several times. I think I played may be D-game and also hit stoploss first day in this month. I think gettting wasted is really stupid thing to relax. I think having few beers is fine. But getting drunk too much it really **** you up for a next day or in my case even two days. You feel like a **** and you are not able to do anything.

I want to take it seriously. I am not satisfied with my body so I want to take it finally seriously as I did in poker with signing for CFP.

Hey guys,

quick review of past three days. It wasnīt good days. My activity went really down. I had some sickness or I donīt know. It started in monday when I didnīt have any money on my account. So I didnīt eat almost nothing during that day. Than since tuesday to thursday. I had some headache, I even throw up two times, slept like 14 hours a day. I donīt know if it was still consequence of hangover. So I played really small and had also small forum activity.

Also we started me and my two friends 12 weeks freeletics program. Today we had first session. It took me 7 minutes 21 second and I was really exhausted but I feel really great after that.

Now I think I am alright and I start to play hard again.

If I donīt get all my goals done. I will send 100 euro to my coach Uhlvar. Exception is only in case of problem with internet connection, hitting stop loss (goals associated with playing poker)or some terrible sickness, or terrible hangover.

Hey guys,

I didnīt update for a while. In sunday there was a storm and huge rain in city and internet was disconnected for 4 days.

So this month was a bit better than first month but still not sure I I am satisfied. I didnīt play as much hands as I could because of sickness and also because of disconnection from internet.



Results were really good first 3 weeks of month but than last week I lost huge. So my profit was 314 + 434 from rakeback. so ti means 748 euro. I couldīve had more from rakeback because on some sites you change points for rakeback and I want to spare the points for later.

What I want ?

Played at least 30k hands

Play in the “zone”


How am I going to do it?

Play at least 6 days per week for at least 6 hours a day

Comment 20 hands every playing day

Post 4 hands every playing day

Every day do some short NLP exercise

read “mental game of poker 2″


Why I want to achieve thos goals?

I want to play lots of hands because more hands = more profit and also more often you play, more often you think about the game the fasterīs your progress. I also want to play as focused as possible. Because when you are in the zone your best self is playing so your decission are best possible in that moment. If I play in the “zone”, I will have bigger profit and I finish CFP much quicker.



What obstacles might stand in my way?

How will I deal with obstacles?

I need to get rid off everything that is unnecesary everything that is wasting my time and energy. I will watch movies or serials only on freedays. I am allowed to be on facebook only before I made everything that I was supposed to that day before I go sleep.

Hey guys,

quick review of past three days. I have again gotten to grind mode. I played 6 hours every day, commented 20 hands everyday and post 4 hands everyday. It is good that I started again doing my daily habit and delete from my life things that are useles and just time wasting like watching movies and spending hours on facebook. It is really big difference if you cut out these things. I am more focused, i have more energy and more time. Unfortunately I have a bit downswing so I had to move out of nl100.

I want to keep doing my daily habits and play solid 6 hours a day and ofcourse sometimes more. I also record 15-20 minutes everyday my session with comments. In past I have actually never re-watch it. Now I decided I will re-watch session next day and if I have some trouble I can talk about it in coaching session.

Also me and my three friends continue in freeletics program. Tomorow weīll finish second week. Yesterday was super hard. Because every session you have to finish as quick as possible so work-out is never easy. Yesterday I was after work-out totally exhausted and just lie almost 1 hour on grass in coma.

Goals on 6 – 9 april

Play 24 hours

Comment 80 hands

Post 16 hands on forum

Record 15-20 minute session every day

Rewatch the session next day and mark spot where I am not sure
