Planned on doing a session after the gym for 1-2 hours but something came up. Had to hit and run some fish but i'll take it lol. It really sucks being so busy but I'm trying hard to keep up with studying, playing, and this log. This month is going great, just wish I could up the volume but extremely busy week. Lifting and prepping food/dinner etc is taking up a lot of my free time this week. It wont get any easier since I'm bulking but its all good. I'm pretty wreckless, I dunno how I'm winning monies. Thank god for the fishies.

I would like some suggestions.. When should I take shots at nl50? Obviously on a heater currently. I took a 12BI shot at nl30 which was supppper aggressive and being that I only 6 table and play part time, variance is def lowered a bit. If I play bad or go on tilt it wouldn't last long due to time restraints. The games are pretty soft so maybe once I hit $1200 or so to give me time to plug away on some leaks and get really comfortable 6 tabling.

Hey OP, really enjoying the thread. Being disciplined with health and fitness definitely helps and shows an ability to stick to something and see a good end result. I think $1000 - $1200 is a good BR for shots at 50NL with a 2BI stop-loss. Looking forward to more posts.

May Recap
- May was awesome both lifting/physique and poker wise. Had the most profitable cash results ever recorded for me. Played very well, honestly only felt the urge to tilt twice and cooled off before continuing. Released a ton of RB probably $120 or so and that's only from 16k hands which is sweet. I also have 4k star coins so I can play up to $40 worth of MTTs with those points. All in all, it was an amazing month- I went from playing nl5-nl10 to playing nl30 and taking shots at nl50 almost tripling my starting BR within the first month of the challenge. Obviously running pretty hot but I'm happy with my game right now and started to 8 table last week of playing.

- For lifting, I hit pretty low being 160.2 lbs and stop cutting, started to reverse diet. My plan is to gain a ton of size this year. Going to do a slow surplus and gain weight for the next 8 months. Goal is to go from 160 to 185 and gain a **** ton of size while minimizing body fat (obviously going to lose my abs though). My ending macros for my cut were 220 protein/ 240 carbs/ 55 fats equaling to 2,335 calories per day while lifting 6x per week and doing 12 miles on treadmill a week. Now going forward, cutting out cardio (maybe do an easy 2-3 mile run each week for health reasons), lift 5x/week and start eating more gradually and lift all the weights.

What does your lifting split look like for 5/6 days a week? I've recently switched from upper/lower to push/pull/legs and really liking it so far. Lifting 4 or 5 days a week and just cycling through the split.

PPL is the best split I've ever done.

PPL is an awesome program but imo, the best program for an individual is based on their experience as a lifter and their strength. For me, I am actually pretty weak so I try to avoid advanced programs until I can bench/DL/squat a reasonable amount of weight. Currently do legs, upper body, back/bis/delts, off, legs, chest/tris/delts, off. I normally do either legs or back twice a week because those are my weak body parts. Weak meaning not proportion to all my other body parts.

I actually enjoyed PHAT too, you ever try that program? and thx bro. Maybe shots at nl50 again, we shall see lol.

What do you do as far as studying poker goes?

Some old DC videos and I have a buddy who is a nl100 reg who discusses HH with and will watch recorded videos of me playing a session and gives his 2 cents. I normally post up hands I was torn or had no clue what villains range was. I try to mark hands that I made a fast/rash decision or that I was confused in. I use these hands to try to figure out why I was confused and go from there. If I lost track of the action/ made a rash decision due to time restraints, that's a tell tale sign that I am playing too many tables. I'm pretty religious when it comes to reviewing hands, its like a math problem that I can't figure out so I make sure I free up time to discuss it, I'm not one of those guys who cares about playing tons of hands opposed to studying.

I'm revising this, I just contacted PS support to make sure I had the right dollar amount for the remainder left of the 600 stars bonus. Since I am depositing an extra $350, I will not take a shot until I reach $1.4k bankroll because I am treating my bankroll as though I'm not depositing $350 because I need that money back lol. I'm just trying advantage of the deposit bonus. Once it clears, I'm going to withdraw it out.

Choppy first day of the month. Ugh, def played awful today. I played super tired just now and made one horrific call. Most of the games were nl10 which is a good thing. Came back a bit towards the end of my session. I am also playing 8 tables opposed to 4-6 which I did at the start of my challenge. I still think I am playing better than at the start of my challenge despite the results. I was playing super loose now more solid imo but not nitty.

AQs hand: What kind of reg opens K4o utg? I was going to scold you for calling, but then I noticed his sizing. So now I'd say it was a nice call. If he bet bigger, then I would fold, as all draws get there. But a half-pot donk bet doesn't make a lot of sense here, unless it was a small blocking bet. But you're probably ahead of many of those hands too.

KJ hand: Just fold to the first flop bet. It's 4-way, you have 2nd pair, and your flush draw isn't to the nuts.
