tbh these days I'm mostly 4tabling, got used to it when I was chasing SN last year (ended up making 200k vpp :P) and now I find 2-tabling pretty boring. I like playing long session, and there's nothing like 7k hands hu session

Yeah nothing like putting in a solid grind in the HU streets, always fun. Sounds good, well done man!
Last couple days has seen some swings but slowly trying to climb back. Month is up to +565$. Only got in 3.5k hands/7 hrs this weekend
Had some hopes getting in a solid month both results and volume wise, but then had the std semitilt/downswing session which ruined it a bit, still a winning month tho so not too bad. Will try to play less 16z this month
So, I played 2 hrs of HU earlier today and dropped 5 BI (AIEV 2.5), not fun winning 42% showdowns and 43% wwsf over 850 hands
Really not sure about this one vs top reg, I got a bit caught up in the "I know he knows I know" game wrt nutted hand combos. Plus I tankbet river cus SPR was a bit weird so didn't know what size to use and I always gets paranoid regs are exploiting that

how sad is it that I recognized who the villian is from stats/sizings, without looking at hm? he's pretty good, but kinda nitty, dropped down from nl100 a while back, so river might be a sigh-fold, but tbh since I stopped making those my wr might be worse, but I sleep better at night

Hmm, you sure? You are prob right, but I didn't think I've seen him at NL100 like ever. He only recently started to cbet this sizing vs me (used more std size before), at a high frequency both in 3b pots and srp.
How are your NL100 results if you don't mind me asking? No worries if you don't.
Also, have you thought about getting WCG's HU course? I do, but it would suck if Stars says GG HU in a couple months, which I'm afraid they might
I mean, it's Ded0verbet, right? I've played him a ton at nl100, but he apparently dropped down few months ago, btw I've made a pretty sick fold vs him a year ago:
he started doing the "pio thing" recently, ie cbetting 100% 1/3 pot on dryish boards, prob gonna start doing the same at some point, unless someone gets a decent idea on how to exploit it first
my results at nl100 are pretty terrible, I'm losing quite a bit after over almost 200k hands (since the new rake), but still making money with sn rb. Also, I was quite relieved when I recently looked at my ev in hm for the first time in a year and found out I'm almost 40bi below ev on nl100 :P
Funny thing is, I run quite well vs regs (except for rec313, who used to crush me, but not anymore), but through last year I've had many spots where I was the only decent reg in the pool and I don't think I've walked away a winner from even one of those situations Still, you get a lot of very good regs, like Rubbish or even Jakeee before he made it to hs, playing often in nl100 pools, and the marks aren't as bad as at nl50, so I'd say the game is much tougher (esp when you run like **** for a year)
As for WCG course, I'm gonna see people's opinions first and then think about it, also same concerns about Stars removing HU. Cheers!
Ahh that's a sick fold indeed! My QT hand wasn't vs him tho, not sure I've played Ded0 that much tbf. Not gonna out who it was against, but as you can see I've played almost 5k hands vs the guy so shouldn't be too difficult knowing which reg puts in big volume but never plays 100
Yeah, can see a high frequency 1/3 strat being good vs many that won't adjust properly, at least in position.
Sorry to hear about NL100 runbad, pretty sure you are +EV in most games there! I rail the NL100 replayed hands from time to time, and there are some serious droolers there as well, so it's tempting to take a shot but I have to rebuild BR/stop withdrawing and generally get a better game to play in that pool
Hopefully HU zoom will still be a thing for a while, and hope the new VIP changes won't affect it too much. I have my doubts with Amaya running things tho.
Yeah I'm thinking the same wrt WCG course, pretty interesting situation.
So, it's gonna be an all-time low on volume for me this month, I'm currently at 13k hands/26 hrs Down $235 so far, had two pretty tilting sessions I should've quit earlier where I lost 400 and 300. Definitely not playing my best atm and I feel quite rusty after not putting in many hours lately. I miss the days of 50k++ hands months
tankcall vs 1-tabler who prev ovb rivers twice in small sample, one probe bet for 200% where he xc flop bottom pair and rivered trips, and one as PFR and bxb line 225% river on A8442 which didn't go to showdown
So yeah, as I said last post volume we're gonna be bad this month, and results not very pleasing either but at least on a small upswing atm and break even for the month including rb, so will try to build on that. Volume was 30 hrs ~67/33 split between HU/6max. In march I'm gonna try to put in some better HU work both off and on tables, as well as exploring more mental game leaks.
I'm hoping to put in some volume again this weekend, been playing better this month but still not good enough. Month so far is breaking even, 90% HU and raked $400.
Not sure how I feel about this, main reason for calling was same guy tripling K4 on 8324A earlier with large turn+river sizing
Took some days off from the tables, will try to get in some volume again this week, but at least I've already played more than February. Getting to 30k hands for the month would be nice.
Not exactly sure how to play this flop vs recreational/unknown, but guess this works fine when we bink turn
I've done some thinking in the last couple of days regarding to which games I want to focus on going forward. The upcoming Stars rb situation will severely cut my profits/increase rake further, so I've decided to get back in the 6max zoom streets and quit HU zoom. It's been great fun playing in that game, but I'm realizing I've come up short on that 'dream', and it's just not worth my time. Hopefully I'll stay disciplined and true to these words.
So yeah, in the coming time I'll get back on the 6max zoom grind 100% and work further on my game. I know I'm rusty at 6max atm, but I'll give it my best shot and work hard both on and off the tables to make it work. Hopefully I'll be able to move up as well.
One of the roadblocks to succeeding in this plan is my mental game. Although I'm rolled for higher stakes I use too much time playing lower than 'I should'. Not exactly sure why that is, but I'm guessing it has something to do with the swings/bad results I've had at HU, and that I've become afraid of losing when moving up. It's quite silly, but it is what it is. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I bought MGOP some time ago, but haven't found the energy to read more than a couple pages, so will try to pick up that one again. It's a shame to think about that I used to grind NL100 rush while dipping into NL200 rush in the FTP days, and now is toying around at NL16 wasting time
I wouldn't worry too much about moving down. I think it really suits you and you'll probably get back soon. Winrate looks fine 6m so best of luck and see you soon at the tables!

Thanks mate, good to see you back at 2+2 Hopefully see you at the 50z tables soon, glgl!

Yeah it is, and as said with the upcoming changes rake will be even higher, so I think it's an ok time to jump ship and get back to 6max 100%.
I decided to sub a month at RIO essential today, will try to plow through some of the 6max liveplay/theory vids next couple of weeks. Any recommendations guys?
I've only played 25k hands since last update (well over a month..), really need to up the volume and get back into 50z pool. Not running very well in AIEV or playing good atm but not gonna complain, let's try to focus on the future and get some more hands in!
idk what this is, chop equity jam madness? Guy is a HU and 6m reg so stats in HH are off, his 6m stats were 21/15/2 over 119 hands.
Re the AA hand. Are you using that flop cbet sizing all the time in 3bet pots?
Not sure if you misread, but AA hand is not a 3b pot. But to answer that, I don't generally cbet 1/3 in 3b pots no, I know it's a high freq thing these days but I haven't worked that into my gameplan. I cbet 1/3 mostly based on board texture and vs regs, so paired boards like this K33 I think fits well into a 1/3 sizing based on my ranges. I try to work in multiple sizes much more than I did before. My sizings might be off tho, I've never used PIO and that stuff to analyze spots.
