Won 6 BI today so the heater is still on, played 1,5k hands/3hrs. Think I played pretty well in the HU session, applying different betsizings in many spots, not just using the std sizings I have set in Starshelper and mashing buttons.

40) vs very aggro 2-tabling guy (max entries in HUzoom), not sure how to play this spot so any criticism appreciated.

As for iPoker I think only NL20 and NL100 fastfold games run, and at 888 those games are HUD-less, so options seems pretty limited
50nl doesn't run on Party. Only 25nl and 100nl. No heads up zoom either. Looks like your only option will be Stars.

40) seems like calling keeps way more hands in we crush then obv not folding lots of flops where we still don't flop a pair - shipping this deep gotta be a mistake imo (always folds worse calls better)

41) betting turn for value vs rec

42) interesting hand - i dunno still but defo gonna put some work into this one

43) i be XRing riv vs this sizing small vs unknown (i guess weaker) opponent -expect some thin merged AJ QQ 78 kinda scared value hands.

Yeah I figured out that Party isn't running NL50 speedpoker at all Some of my volume surely will be at Stars, but will also give Party's software a test to see if I like it or not. Still have a thin hope that FTP/Stars will run some FTP rush pools (iirc they said something about exclusive FTP tables, might be only tourneys?) but it prob won't happen in the end.

Thanks for having a look at the hands, appreciated!

40) Sorry but not sure I understood your comments here; do you suggest bet/calling flop? I get that we wanna keep in bluffs and he only calls better hands etc. when we jam, but if we bet/call flop vs this sizing we're getting to the turn w 46bb stack in a 60bb pot and that seems like a pretty good way of burning $$. I guess we could x/c flop but don't really like that either at this stackdepth vs an aggro recreational who will make life pretty difficult for us to get to showdown. Also, we're not deep as villain only has 76bb, but that might be a bit too deep for a jam, not sure.

41) Agree betting turn should be better here and x back worse Kx to bluffcatch rivers.

42) Yeah mainly trying to exploit his weak betsizing otr, as I don't think many regs have a bet/call range w that sizing.

43) Guy was a 4-tabling reg iirc, QQ is just very unlikely but I guess a few AJ combos makes some sense, that being said I don't really see the value in xr river but might be wrong.

Yeah I misread first hand completely haha somehow thought you 4B jammed pre lol agree with your comments.

Third hand defo agree vs a weak not reg this XR should be winning money.

J7 is defo a weird hand - if reg then defo call but if it's a fish then i wanna get more money in probably otf

52) Strat hand, help please: vs same reg as above, he snap 3b pre and took like 10 sec on river. I think turn is close between bet and check but chose to check cus I think it's optimistic getting three streets this deep, and he seemed more bluffy than cally so I thought there would be more value in facing a river probe bet than betting turn ourselves. I might be leveling myself too much in these spots when we cap our range, but think it's pretty 'easy' for him to bluff xr river/and obv balance that w TT/QQ which I think should take the same line. River sizing is another question w 3.5x SPR, do we go small since we're capped or big to maximize fold eq as if we were bluffing? And what's our plan if he xr river?

We're not capped on river at all, We can definitely have QQ... so if us being capped to the 2nd nuts counts, then sure.

Thanks, yeah looking back at it now I agree w your comments, a bit interesting that you say to x turn w QQ this deep and bet AA, but I can see some merits to both.

So, since my last update Stars have obv decided to raise the rake again, and 50z HU looks like it is 15-16bb/100 atm which is really gross. 53) no where near a fold and checking river is a big mistake imho. I'd probably x/jam if I ever did check. His flop check seems pretty bad as well with the two toned board and multiple straight draws, esp. since you called in the BB.

54) (i don't play HU), is 82o really an open for 2.5x? Is he folding too much/not 3-betting enough??? Post flop seems okayish to me. I think betting the very weakest 8x in your range otf for a mix of value/protection is good. Turn raise is also definitely fine (as is his donk though I think it's too small for sure). Once we get 3-bet ott I think I'm shipping it. You only lose to A8 and you're splitting with all other 8x since the AK is on board, + folding out his equity is massive +EV. River check seems close, I'm probably betting.

53) Yeah I don't like his flop check at all, but don't really think we can x/jam river and get value from AK/AJ, or bet/call for that matter but maybe bet/folding river is better, this is just not a line people take as a bluff in my experience at these stakes.

54) This guy folds 25% pre so might not be enough, but I'm used to opening any two vs the majority of the pool since people are folding too much in general. I still like my turn raise/call line but wouldn't hate a jam since as you say we're splitting w 8x other than A8 (and K8), but I'm a bigger fan of keeping in bluffs in peoples ranges, it's not like he's gonna 3b/call off w draws/Ax/Kx. River was as you say pretty close and I thought about betting for sure, mainly cus he tanked for 45 sec otr so he likely had something, 8x or flushes both makes sense. Not sure if he bets K8/A8 otr, but prob not.

56) Yeah idk about this one, I mean the guy has 3b half the time (4/8) when we count this hand, so I guess he should have some bluffs in there too that triples, both FD's missed etc.

Appreciate the comments!

March 2016

Alright so another month done. I have to be happy with winning some $$ as games are getting tougher and my volume has been poor for a couple months now, think I'm at like 110k hands for the year lol. I'll hopefully play more volume at NL50 again in April, haven't played it much this year cus FTP doesn't run often so will be interesting to see what happens when they close up. Might take some shots at NL100 on Party (50 doesn't run there either) if I have a good April month. Also not really sure when FTP are done, but hopefully they'll postpone it a couple weeks!

Come over to FTP and try me out thanks mate, let's hope for another good month!

Haven't had the greatest start to the month but at least I've only played NL50 which is cool. Had to jump in for some 50zoom action yesterday tho cus rush wasn't running, didn't really enjoy it either cus of the big playerpool but guess I have to get used to it.

So I've started playing some on Party this week, and thanks to PartyCaption I'm really enjoying the playing experience. The whole dealing/end hand process also seems a tad quicker compared to Stars/FTP so we're getting in a few more hands per hour. Only played NL25 fast fold games since they don't have NL50 there but for now that's ok, I just want to get used to the software etc.

PartyCaption is a software that makes playing on Partypoker easier, it has a thread on 2+2 here. It converts chips to BB, can make predefined betsizings for preflop/postflop, you can make your own betsizing buttons to choose % sizing (I have 8 different buttons for postflop lol ), also has some nice mods/layouts for Party to make the tables look smoother etc.

You thinking about moving to Party?
