Day 112
My folks wanted me to learn English early on so they sent me to an Anglophone Grade school at the age of
6, which literally caught the (much) younger version of myself by surprise, to say the least... You see, I only knew one word in English on my first day of school (either yes or no
), scrambled to not fail my first few years (only math saved me, as I was the best in that subject
) and gradually made it to a particularly sunny day in grade
4...
You see, for some twisted-****ed-up reason, we shared our playground with a French school, which in Quebec's politico-environnment, is a direct invitation to war (even for kids
). So as an act of truce, an imaginary line was drawn midway through the playground : as long as no student crossed to the other side, no violence would ensue. Yet, for someone like me who studied in English but had mainly Francophone friends/lived in French outside of school hours, it was always tempting to cross the line and go say "hi" to some of my buddies on the other side. Which I did, that faithful day of grade
4...
Of course, I did not see the punch coming... Of course everything happened at a lightning-fast speed and reality only caught the corner of my right eye through the form of a direct and effective jab by the toughest Grade
6 French student... All I could think of when I unintentionally caressed the gravel, was "didn't you see that we were having a friendly conversation" and "don't you know I am French, you ****ing idiot!?!
"... Nonetheless, beyond those words, I knew that I would never again cross that physical boundary...
A certain dichotomy has established itself in our game. There is us and them. On one side, the good guys ; on the other, the rallying opposition, set out to offer resistance. And given that I found myself over
500bbs effective with
2 of those villains, I couldn't care less that a natural schism had split our table : I wanted ****ing fireworks
And not the St-Jean Baptiste kind, the Canada Day ones or even the fracking July Fourth crackers, I wanted a ****ing
MASSIVE atomic bomb
One that would make Kim Jong-un proud and fill Tronald Dump with otherwordly envy, yo
One that would illuminate the skies and forever put to shame Supernovas
