Hi guys, finished my first 5k hands today and things looking pretty good. BR up to $130 - when I hit $150, I'll try my hand at some NL5. I'll be sticking lower with PLO because swongs r 1 thing, until I've played at least 5k hands at that game specifically (I've done about 800 PLO hands versus 5k NLHE) hands.
Graph:
Things I've discovered so far...
1) Bluffing is very profitable at the NL2. Despite what people would have you believe, 3betting lite, occasional 4bet bluffing and turn barrelling are all hugely profitable.
Just dont go triple barrelling the 60/2 guy...pick your spots wisely, i.e look for the F23b 80+ guys to 3b lots, and the 3b 15+ guys to 4b A2-5.
2) People do not have balanced ranges on the river. If they're betting they have TPTK or better, if they're raising they have the nuts or something damned close to it (only exception is multiway uncontested) Don't pay them off. They made their flushes or fishtacular 2pairs or backdoor trips or whatever.
3) Trust your gut. It's easier to talk yourself into a big call than a big fold. If folding is your first instinct you're probably right at these stakes. They almost always have it. Fold, and do it quickly if your feeling uncertain.
4) 2BI stopgap for Tilt allowance. Maybe a leak, but psychologically a lifesaver for big tilters like me. My main tilt causer is not getting sucked out on, but me making a big mistake that I knew I could have avoided (i.e making a bad call on the river).
GOALS
1) 10k hands (followed by 20k, 50k, 100k etc)
2) Take the shot at NL5. See how things go. Love life.
