Hi all,

My name is Shaun and welcome to my PG&C Thread! Here's the general rundown:

Goals
On the felt:
Profitably play NL 6max and the occasional MTT.
Shot-take NL100 by 2019

Off the Felt:
Shoot more Photography
Read more books (at least 2 more in 2018)

Vitals
On the Felt:
Poker Experience: 2.5 years(Serious) - 13 years total - Mainly NHLE 6max
Current Stakes: 10nl-50nl

Off the Felt:
Age:34
Profession: Print Buyer (8-5 job)
Relationship Status: Married 5.5 Years
Life Status: Homeowner, no kids, one dog (Abby - Terrier/Poodle Mix - 4 years old)
Hobbies/Interests: Poker, NBA, MMA, Joe Rogan Podcast, Photography, Physics/Space, Music, Investing, working out.

I recently started playing again and would like to document my journey on 2+2 to stay motivated, learn, and have some fun. Since getting back into the game I've only been playing one table at a time. I've found that it's helped me focus on player tendencies and better learn how to exploit them. I plan to multi-table in the future so I can increase my volume output. I plan on posting HH's to share with the community and hopefully learn a thing or two.

Graphs
Disclaimer: Since I've only been playing one table at a time my volume is low and not a good indicator of my real win rate.

Today's graph - I folded a lot in multiway pots, think I made the right plays though. I'll go back and review those hands to be sure. 11 of the 13 hands I did win I won without showdown and my red line is still that low (The biggest pot I won was only $2.84).

I'm heading to Denver Thursday so I don't plan on playing much between now and when I get back. It's for a work trip and I'll be gone until 8/6. It will be my first time in Denver so if anyone has any suggestions on where to eat, drink, or visit let me know (or any good dispensaries). I usually go out with my co-workers to dinner and get drinks each night on this annual trip so we're always looking for something cool or new.

My work trip in Denver was very short-lived but left me wanting to come back. Our hotel had a free happy hour from 5:30-7:30pm so that first night we spent that entire time double fisting drinks at the bar, laughing, and getting drunk. After that we walked to a nearby dispensary. I don't recall the name of the place but after walking in I immediately felt like I was in an Apple Store. They had nice wooden tables displaying the different kinds of marijuana strains, well lit display cases with blunts and vaporizers, and a friendly staff. It was impressive. From there we found a restaurant and had dinner and more drinks. One of my co-workers gave me half a weed-cookie and I started to feel great lol. Went back to the hotel, slept like crap as I do most of the time my first night in a new place. At 6am my wife called and tells me her grandmother passed away around 2am. Oh Shiit. Long story short I had to book a flight home and leave my work at the worst time possible. Family comes first. Today we drove 3hrs to her folks house and plan to stay here until Monday. Stuff like this really helps put things into perspective and makes you appreciate life. It's short.

Had a chance to play a couple of hours today and when I stopped to check my results I noticed I stopped on exactly 3000 hands. Thought that was funny - Here's a quick look at some stats/graphs/hands:

These next 2 hands were against a big whale I've been targeting. My note on him is something like " BIG PUNTER! Will go all in preflop with hands like A9o multiple times. I may have over-folded this first hand but based on my history with him I felt like he had me with a turned flush or 2pair+. He isn't prone to betting pot on the streets so it was odd. It felt nitty but it felt right. My thought was I would eventually get him with a better made hand given his tendencies. Open to thoughts on this.

This past weekend I started to 4 table and so far it's been exhilarating. Going from one table to four is like the seconds after taking a bump off a strippers ass. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I one tabled for so long because it taught me a lot about game selection and post flop play. I highly suggest it to anyone else trying to be a winning 10-20nl player.

Anyways, I challenge anyone to beat my winrate at 10nl.

                        10NL since the challenge:

Still crushing. I plan to 4 table 20nl tomorrow and see how it goes.
