Hey, i've been stuck at the micros for too long mainly at 10nl (mostly from tilt...), will be posting some hh but mainly a graph each month. I'm struggling to put in volume in general and have switched sites to ignition (i live in the U.S.) and hopefully be playing 25z and 50z soon.

Besides that i don't have many goals besides transitioning into MTT's for a bit and reaching 1knl live

4nl and 10nl:

Forgot to mention last month February was absolute hell mainly being stuck -$5k close to the end of the month. I don't feel pain anymore lol, dropping 5k seems like a lot (esp cause im a student) but to me if someone gave me 100k would it really change my life (if i got half a million would be yes lol)?

Spoiler:
Ended up having a +$5k/10 BI live session on last few days most i've cashed out at the casino being like 6k... was at the sickest game i've ever played with blind raises to $60 every hand and winning a 3k pot with bottom set helped. Made a few BI after that session so i think was up like 3 BI for month.

Here is results so far from challenge, i think i can beat 25nl for 5bb/100 and should be playing higher online in general... Also 10z rarely runs on ignition that's why a lot of 5nl

10nl:

Profit since challenge (deposit of $200, dat 3 figure profit):

Also this month so far live i'm up +$4800 and month isn't even half way over... and no i don't even play close to 40 hours a week but i do immensely enjoy 1-tabling live over playing like 6+ tables online or whatnot it's much more relaxing and better exploits

Some HH/spots that always give me a hard time mainly a lot of high frequency spots/run-outs where it gives the other player a lot of nuts + equity shifts.

Also in these spots it's pretty crucial to think about how villain's will deviate on future streets such as OTR even though it's a small EV gain... as nodelocking villain's tendencies on 1 specific street such as OTT in solvers such as pio doesn't account for future streets and assumes both hero + villain will play nash frequencies later on

Any advice/replies would be great from anyone crushing small stakes+

Harsh but true..

OP, What are your overall stats?

In the sample you posted you are playing 41/30 with a 17% 3bet and open shoving hands like Q4 aipf. It shouldn't take you long to figure out why this is the opposite of how you should be playing at stakes where people can't find the fold button.

Aim for tag stats, something like 20/18 with 5-8% 3bet. Nothing else is needed beyond some basic hand reading and exploiting fish/nits at micro limits.

It amazes me how you can be up several k$ live when you're all-in preflop online with that kind of crap (and winning what seems to be an insane amount of those hands then even).

Close to beating 10nl atm, switched over to a softer site will be back on ignition. Currently stuck 4 BI in the hole at 25nl on this site from not playing my best mainly but i need to do a lot more pio work mainly focusing on beating 25/20/10 guys, struggling a lot to play against tighter ranges as i have a hard time visualizing and knowing where my EV is coming from if villain does deviate from nash strat with even a few combos.

Also i'm getting great rakeback/bonus on this site +$140 so far will add it to my 10nl graph later.

Live has been going really rough...

Anyways for me to make +5k this month going to need to make around 3k-3.5k this week from 4/24-4/31 i will play 40 hours regardless and i think it's pretty doable as i've had multiple +5k weeks before wml i guess, could still run bad :?

---

Going to be on a MTT grind/learning process as i got $400 rb from my live casino lol, so i deposited that on ACR. Have no idea what i'm doing but i started off playing poker with MTT's so it's not like i've never played them b4 haha...

Some hands of 25nl, 1st one is vs a 90/50 fish second is vs a reggier 25/20/10 villain, currently have 27 BI for 25nl once i hit 30 BI most likely going to withdraw and redeposit back on ignition.

In regards to the first hand i think AP OTT betting is standard, his flop cbet was around 50 so if he is betting a lot of pure bluffs and backdoor draws OTF he shudn't have many bluffs OTT to bluff with but i gave him half combos of AK/KJo or whatnot with a diamond he shouldn't have many flushes and OTR i don't think he will thin value bet worse then Qx but not sure what Qx he has lol such a small value range and was playing too many tables...

    Live this month has not been going too well in the beginning was up around +4.4k then went on a ugly downswing think i'm still +1k atm...

    Atm BR online is $842, a nice profit of +$642 since challenge
    Anyways have about 33 BI for 25z on ignition and already halfway through the challenge as well.

    Stopped playing poker altogether currently... playing terribly + running badly live and online, going to withdraw the $400 on acr that was meant for playing microBI MTT's and dump it onto ignition and hopefully get to 5bb+/100 soon.

    Had a -$500 month live, just didn't put in the hours or play my best have played only 1 session this month live... currently this year would have been going okay if i didn't decide to quit:

    Jan = 10.3k+
    Feb = 1.2k+
    March = +8k
    April = -500

    Ik this is not some type of journal to tell my feelings too, but i rlly don't think i can continue living like this and hopefully someone here can learn from my mistakes. Long story is that i messed up high school and university/college i'm almost 22 years old and have no real friends still it's fkn pathetic honestly idc if i read this back and look like a btch.

    I went to some college when i was 19 and dropped out to try and pursue poker not knowing at the time how stupid of an idea that was but the circumstances of not being able to make friends while i was in college similar to high school just made me take the plunge and i can say that i kept making bad decision after bad decision after that. I thought pursuing what i loved which was poker would make me happy as well as the money but now i look back and no amount of money would be enough for me to drop out like just because i couldn't make any friends and i was struggling with school in general... So yeah now im back in a decent private school and it's the same thing like before except this time i hate poker and basically everything nothing makes me happy anymore, just trying to grind out my degree and not be homeless in the future idk

    Time has gone by so quickly when your playing poker and i basically fked up any chance of living a normal life from 16/17-21 years of age, not to mention it's hard to make any true friends in the poker community it's all about the $$$ no one will give you free information or be helpful but to be fair that makes sense when people are grinding it out and there is $$$ on the line...

    I don't know what to do now i've stopped playing poker officially at the moment as it's literally burning money (what's the point of putting in hours if you are going to lose more then you expect to make there has to be a threshold on what you are willing to do sometimes). A few months ago i was pretty depressed as well lol, and idk why i thought this at the time but i would go to the casino in hopes that i would lose a lot of money as well as put in hours because i wasn't in school. Everytime i play now i just auto-pilot and spew my play is worse then it was a few months ago from not studying etc. I also want to mention the live poker grind vs online by now if i stuck with online i think i could've made it from 2/5nl-100nl by now but my bankroll would be significantly lower and it was hard to put in hours online mainly because i live in the united states so it's going to be extremely hard to pay bills/expenses playing anything under 100nl for 40 hours a week. If i was living in a different country like china/latin america or wherever i would obviously try to grind as fast as possible to 100nl/midstakes but the fact of the matter is i started to enjoy live poker more and got more of a rush (even though that feeling is totally gone haha).

    So yeah i don't think i will be playing much or any poker at all until i can sort my life issues right now as well as my bad mindset + mentality (mental game) approach to a lot of things. GL everyone.
