Introduction

What's up guys! I'm 21 years old and currently living in Germany. I am studying Economics. I've been playing poker for over 5 years now. Yes, I started to play when I was 16. Thanks to Pokerstars for not asking much about their costumers ages. Eventhough I kind of forget about poker in the last 2 years, I still love playing it. After that long break I started to miss poker a lot. Which is why I was trying to find another pokerroom since Pokerstars didn't seem to be much fun after all.

After some research I took Unibet. I've just heard of the betting stuff from Unibet but the idea of having no HUD's and no tracking softwares is really cool. I decided to play a bit and test the software. Here and there some disconnects, but hey, it's a relativly new client.

Over a week ago I put in 50€ as my starting bankroll. Now I want to grind it up to a nice and non-risky NL 100 Bankroll. Let's see how this goes.

This blog is not only a motivation for myself but also a blog that helps me achieving my goals.


Grinding it up on Unibet

I am a cashgame player. I will try to play some tournaments here and there but the main-focus will be cashgame. I will be playing 8-10 tables. The cap on NL4 and NL10 are 8 tables. I was used to massgrinding 24 tables on Stars. So yeah, 8 should be doable. I also don't need much sleep which can be good but also suck sometimes. With this being said: I will grind a lot.

Bankroll Management

I am probably going to hell for this but I like to have a big bankroll. I've had some ugly downswings in the past and this helped me to not tilt and ragequit. For the up-grind I will play 50+10. It looks like this:



Don't worry about the 60€ NL4 bankroll. I just cashed 50€ in which is why there are 60€, I guess. Well, I don't even remember anymore.

Poker Goals

[] Play at least 5h per day
[] Play at least 35h per week
[] Study at least 1h per day (Videos, Blogs, Hands etc.)
[] Never cash out until I reach NL 100

Blog Goals

[] Post every day after my sessions
[] Show the funniest hand (donk hands, really sick bad beats, etc)
[] Possibly find other guys that play on Unibet (haven't seen many yet)

Life Goals

[] Go to uni 2 days/week (This will be the toughest one .)
[] Read 1 book/week
[] Watch 1 documentary/day (interesting stuff, good to know, etc.)
[] Eat healthy 2 days/week (slowly go up in the days)
[] Take my gf out 1 day/week

Random Goals

[] Get better at osu!
[] Become Global Elite in CS:GO

Good luck pal! You sound in a similar position to me! I'm 18 from the UK, studying economics at uni and grinding unibet a little bit too! At 10NL at the moment but hoping to move up as fast as possible as well.

Deposited a ran it up playing 4NL, so that I guess. And in terms of an end goal I've honestly not thought about it, would be nice to be playing 50 or 100 sooner rather than later though!

Had a hard time at the tables. People hitting 2 and 3 outers. But I guess that happens. I mean, that's poker. Eventhogh I played a lot, nothing seemed to work out that well.

Unibet is helluv soft especially at nl 4, and even up to nl 10 if your a solid TAG, never been past the nl 20 mark hence i cashed out, could not take the software anymore haha.

NL 4 and NL 10 Strategy

I figured out that the best strategy on NL4 and I guess on NL10 too is, that you simply wait for good hands. Play as tight as possible Round 10-15% VPIP eventhough it's 6max. When you get a playable hand, just play it aggressive.

On the Flop: If you have a monster like QQ KK AA and they are still the toppair, keep beeing aggressive. If there are any Kx or Ax while having QQ, KK etc. just slow a bit down. Don't be sad if you have to fold a premium hand. Keep in mind, it's better than loosing your whole stack. Wait for the next hand.

Other than that, try to simply call some 3x preflop bets with small pocket pairs. The strategy is simple. Hit a set--> get it in. Hit nothing--> Fold.

This is pretty much ABC-Poker at it's best. But trust me, don't try to get into your opponents heads. The best strategy only works if the opponent is able to understand it. But again, truth be told, this is NL 4 and NL10. Keep it simple.

I just got rekt by Charlotte van Brabander in one of her tournaments. I played both 4€ tournaments. I was ITM in both of them. Unfortunatly she was hitting every card and in the end kicked me with AQo against A9s out of the tournament. I finished 6th and 3rd for 10€ and 25€. **** happens.

Today I want to play a lot. My current bankroll is: 225.18€

Also my Welcome Bonus is at 63,9% for 40€ which will be a nice gift too. Let's see if we can make the 80% today and the 100% tomorrow.
